ahh the sound if the 4.0 I6! Honestly I dont mind the muff delete. Not too bad but on a soft top jeep possibly a little too noisy lol. I ran the Banks "Monster" muffler on mine back in the day it was pretty clean lol. As for the squealing belt... ehhhh this is where it can get frustrating. I started off with checking the tension. Then tried a new belt...No luck. Water pump went out shortly after, fixed that but squealing still persisted. Moved on to idler pulley and alternator. Got better then came right back once again. Then the power steering pump went out (I had to replace this twice, got a defective reman the first time reservoir was leaking) Finally kept chasing it down and it turned out to be the harmonic balancer (crank pulley) was a huge pain but finally resolved the squealing! you know what they say...JUST EMPTY EVERY POCKET! LOL
Pops and bangs on downshifts is fun but with the doors off it’s a bit obnoxious. Got a big vibrant resonator going on.
The squealing belt thankfully is just an old/loose belt thankfully. I’ve been waiting to fix it because I want to film it lol

Sorry I'm on the other end of the spectrum.. show me how to make a jeep exhaust silent. I own 3 and my favorite is a 1995 yj, so i have a love for jeeps. But i absolutely hate the way they sound with any exhaust, the 4 or 6 cylinder. I know most of you like it, but to me any 4 or 6 sounds like a sewing machine about to explode, just not my thing. I have been trying to get my exhaust as silent as possible. V8s are the only thing to my ears that sounds good with a rumble.
Just adding a bigger resonator. The vibrant streetpower muffler really quieted it down
@@SpeedCultureStudios You got me much closer for sure. Went to my local muffler guy today and had a resonator installed. It didn't get it as quiet as i would like but it is definitely half what it was. well worth 90 bucks and 20 minutes of my time, thanks again.
