    I really liked how you explained the tuning and gave a very through demonstration. Stopping and showing what to look and listen for was incredibly helpful

    Love the long format videos! I enjoy watching you take things apart and hear your train of thought.

      Really? Glad to hear that. I suppose that is the benefit of not trying to cram everything into shorts :)

    I just replaced the carb and electric coil on two these 125B's. I order the kits through Amazon. To my amazement, the kits actually contained quite a few spare parts. Just take your time disassembling and reassembling. It's really pretty simple. One thing that I found, is that the spark plug connector kept coming off when it was started. It took a few times for me to figure out why the blower kept stalling out. Just pinch the plug connector a bit and shove it back on. The carbs were factory set, but they send you an adjustment tool. Both of these machines run great now.

    Great video! I’m always working on Husqvarna, Sthil or Echo. Can you tell me where & what parts I should stock? (Meter dia & etc..)

      Thanks! Good question!
      Personally I stock 4 different two stroke metering diaphragms, Honda gvc 160 carb gaskets, primer bulbs, fuel line of various sizes, and a few common air filters. I haven’t found that I need much else weekly and then just order what else I need

    Where can I get the slpine tool that fits both screws to adjust the carburetor? I have 21 teeth but the other screw seems little smaller, the closest to the filter

      You can order them on Amazon. Just search for “carburetor adjustment tools”. They come in a pack of 8-12. Around $10

    Mine only runn in half choke, put it run it kills...so if I seat both screws how much do I set them to start???

    • @charlessalard4636
      @charlessalard4636 Місяць тому

      Might be diaphragm..like my weed eater was.

      If it only runs choked, that means it is not getting enough fuel and is running lean. The choke artificially richens up the mixture.
      Various things can cause this from a plugged fuel filter, kinked or leaking fuel line, issues inside the carb, or a misadjusted carb. Try LIGHTLY seating the adjustment screws, then back them off 1.5 turns and start "fiddling" from there. And you're right, it could certainly be a stiff diaphgram!

    wouldn’t it be amazing if someone were smart enough to use different colored lines ( gas & air ) so you don’t mix them up and hook them up backwards ???

    • @35andRetired
      @35andRetired  15 днів тому

      Yeah...in manufacturing it is called a Poke Yoke (Japanese word meaning "error proof"). But, it adds variants in part numbers and in production, so it is avoided unless deemed necessary...

    very informative carburetor rebuild video. Lots of repair videos on your channel,
    Are you up for a collaboration? Hipa supplies parts for small engines
    and you get the knowledge of small engine repair. Maybe we would work together to help more people in the community?
