I know this I'd old, but I'm renting a car and got insurance on my end and will be getting the car Friday. It was an extra $111 which is cheaper than budget which would be around 240. I have a question though. What happens if the car breaks down and can't be fixed? Am I stuck without a vehicle? A normal Rental company provides you with a vehicle.
You still need your own private insurance for when the car is in your possession. What if you crash it, or it gets stolen or damaged while not being rented? Turo's insurance is only in effect when the car is being rented to a guest. When it's not rented, your insurance covers it like it would any of your own personal cars. It's the law, your cars must have insurance to be on the roads. In Florida, they revoke your license and cancel the registration if you don't have the car insured. Other states may be similar.

Little bit off topic of the insurance, but I was wandering if you know If someone else, like my wife, is able to release my vehicle to my renters since I'm at work for a good portion of the day? My wife doesn't have TURO account. Thank you.

Do you compensate the customer if they were charged a fee for to wing??
