I wish the title of this video were more appropriate to the content, because I was looking for the step-by-step video on check-in and check-out, not a video on how to take the best pictures of the vehicle for checkout.
I do Airbnb and Turo is similar to renting cars and houses. I am a GM of hotels and that knowledge of hotels has been great for me. I planning Turo rentals of Honda Mini Vans and your videos have been great. You're a smart girl. Saimah, That's great and understandable about taking photos before and after, but what about Turo questioning or doubting when the photos were taken and them questioning if the photos you submit could have been taken at a different time other than before or after the car was returned to you? Have you ever ran into this situation and if so, how did you handle this?
When you take photos do you have a feature where a date and time stamp is present on the photos?

If you have a sports car, like a Corvette for example, if someone does a number of burnouts if that classified as wear a tear or damage in the eyes of Turo? You'd know that they did burnouts because the tire tread was thinner compared to when the vehicle was checked out. Thanks!

Hi. One strategy I learned from the Turo Reddit is that you can also edit the photos time on your phone before uploading them. That way you don't have to keep taking photos each time and make more money. As for new vehicles- you either get a dealer license and LLC and go to dealer auctions or go to eBayMotors or a used car lot. EBay has excellent like new fixed up salvaged titled cars for cheap prices. I just scored a '22 Mirage for $7,500. Already fixed up, if you go to a used car lot you'd have to pay an $2,500 to get the car inspected at a certified dealer and repaired. The sellers on ebayMotors are rated and reviewed as well. 💸 👍

@@JAHistheONE Oh no. Haha! I only need these photos in case of an accident! So if a customer damages my vehicle. I do take photos each week, just not daily! I then change the data on the photos...if an accident occurs! ⛌

I wasn't sure if it can be done before to save time or what the correct process is. I don't want to meet the renter then figure out in the app I should have done things in advance.
I have my first trip booked for this Saturday and wanted to make sure I do everything correctly.

How long do you keep them before trading them in? it looks very easy to buy a car and put it on Turo. but i don't know how would it profit. I listed my car on Turo and only one person rented it for 1 week and no one else has since. I guess Turo isn’t that great where I’m located? There are about 6 cars listed in my city and the car with the most trips has about 10 trips lol.

I'm curious how you're funding all these purchases. Are you qualifying for them based solely on the renting business or did you leverage wealth and credit position that you had prior? The reason I ask is I have good credit and make about 140k a year in Vegas (a good market I would think) and am wondering if this could be a viable business for me while I still work full time until it is profitable. You should measure the tread.
you can get a tread depth measuring tool for a few bucks. I have taken pictures with the tool in place to document tread depth.

Turo change the price automaticly... depending on demand weather and things like that 👍🏽
@@mbmpablo3631 but you can also set your own price. I charge more than Turo sets for my Maserati Granturismo Convertible because what they suggest isn't worth my time and effort to get out of bed much less wash and detail it and worry about wear and tear and accidental damage. Especially now that they're taking 30% and leaving you with 70% for standard coverage.
