How to Connect a Blue Yeti Mic to an iPhone (or iPad)

- How to connect your Blue Yeti Microphone to almost any iPhone (or iPad), along with a demonstration of different settings of the microphone to show that it truly works. This is great for studio style set-up of filming/recording if you use your iPhone (or iPad) to create content, make music, record podcast or interviews, and is especially great for creating ASMR style content for UA-cam. It's also great for work, school, or team meetings, possibly making tiktok videos or going live on instagram/facebook/youtube, etc. (as of making this video in November 2020, it worked- however, it's not guaranteed to work all the time due to app updates from app developers or even Apple themselves).

How about the battery life of the phone? Will it drain fast because I'm using the mic and charging the phone at the same time.
@@Geo_Florentino Yes and no. Most 2018 or newer flagship smartphones like iPhone and latest iOS can handle kiosk mode / constantly being charged batteries much better than the older ones. Hence why a lot of store use the most recent iPads for their POS or select retail stores using slightly newer iphones for express check out. Any issues with the power supply over heating the phone while recording? For example, I’m gonna be using the Mophie Powerstation while capturing video. I’ll be recording over a 1.5 hours.
@@m.douglas5406 I haven't personally tried recording longer than 35 minutes, so I've not encountered the power supply overheating the phone. However, I do plug it in to a charger that only outputs 12W or less, so my hunch is slow-charging may be preventing it from overheating the phone. I usually just plug it in to fast chargers (e.g. magsafe or the 18W adapter) when I'm on the go since the more juice you throw at a battery, the faster it charges, but the more heat it generates.
Whenever I plug in my yeti microphone into my phone and have my headphones plugged into the yeti mic i can’t hear myself. Do you know how to fix to where I could hear myself?

I've been having terrible audio when I plug my blue yeti in my MacBook Pro. But it sounds fine when I plug into my iPhone... so frustrating!

I just got my blue yeti microphone today, but I forgot or didn't acknowledge that you actually had to connect to a computer 😅 so I ordered an usb adapter, but if it wasn’t for you, I would’ve bought the skinny one like you said not to buy.
