I’m about to start college and i’m confused on how u can replace a physical textbook on an ipad? like do you have to pay for the online version or is there a way to get a pdf? this is probably a dumb question but i’m curious
@@Botatochicken yeah pretty much pdf or online text book which mostly all books have now and with iPads you can highlight and stuff and be very useful. UA-cam videos can help you with that

For me its either buying an ipad or a laptop, but I've decided to go for the ipad because I love the idea of taking my notes on it using the pen and having all my notes and books on it. I have a PC at home, so I'd use that for things when I need to

Pens > pencils ofc, because pencils fade. Also, I'm using a 10.5 pro from 2017, an apple pencil and a MacBook air. iPad is for taking notes, language learning, drawing, watching youtube when I'm in bed, reading, etc. MacBook is for using at my desk and working on assignments and stuff since using the iPad as a second screen makes the MacBook experience even better. I would also use Universal Control, but it really depends on what I'm doing.

The mini is for everything from making edits to documents and Keynotes, marking up documents and presentations in real time, and doing marking. It’s absolutely indispensable for my workflow, which includes the Apple Pencil. Generally, I save anything with a keyboard for when I am home with the iMac, but I got through a Masters on a mini alone, so I know it will always be a part of my workflow.
I use my mini 6 at work. I also have a macbook and galaxy tab. My air stays home, but it is awesome. I use the mini 6 with students with high special needs. Writing, drawing, circling answers ec. I got the air 5 and its awesome! Before that I had the air 4 and loved it as well, especially the green color. I am not an artist by any means lol, but using procreate on my air 5 is awesome.
So you have an iPad mini, and iPad Air and a galaxy tab. Are you sure it is enough? If I were you I’d buy also a Mi Pad 5 and a Lenovo Tab. Oh and don’t forget a Kindle.
I went through school with just the iPad and a keyboard. Rarely needed a laptop unless I needed to print something or pulled assignments from my instructors. Then I just used the school's machines. No worries.
I am a software developer, I have a 8 core processor and 32 gb of ram as my main windows pc, I use jump desktop a $15 dollar app on my IPad 8th gen, and take use it as a windows laptop/IPad while I am out and about and since pretty much every where has a some sort of free Wi-Fi, I don’t like the idea of staying in one place I like to go outside and code for some reason

Professors upload everything and I was able to highlight and take notes. Also all textbooks are online so I was able to write on those as well. If you get an ipad I recommend goodnotes :)

I got the ipad air 5 because of size and the accessories I can use with it. Also, I got an apple pencil and the logitech keyboard for it and it was the best decision. Also, I never had to use my mac book. While alot of my classmates were lugging around a laptop and struggling with highlighting their pdfs.
ngl I’m in my senior year in uni and I must say bro this was really helpful. Im a computer science major and definitely can say that of course I’m gonna need a laptop 🙄 on the side for labs and stuff but since this is going for just $600 it’s really advisable to get this thanks 🙏🏾

@@Yes-uf2je I had the same dilemma literally 2 days ago before going for the 256gb one but this was my thinking. From seeing how much storage I use on my iPhone which was about 110gb which about 1200 pictures, a bunch of apps for school, couple for entertainment/social media, and a couple for games. If you think of it in iPad terms, you may or may not have 1200 pictures on your iPad but I like to have it both on my iPhone and iPad. That’s one thing but that’s only about 15gb. The rest was determined by the apps and files I had on my phone. I you can do the math 65gb is 100% not enough. And especially if you want to use it long term, games and apps will get bigger in the future. So it’s better to be on the safe side. I for sure won’t be filling to up to 256 yet. the YET is the big thing. You will never know when you will need extra storage. Of course you can get an external hard drive but having the leeway of 256 just seems more comfortable for me. Only issue is it’s much more expensive and dangerously close to the base iPad Pro for 50 dollars extra. If you don’t think you will need the extra power then you are saving 50 dollars that you use for something else. I got so much anxiety trying to decide😅 but don’t stress too much. If you need extra power (which most students won’t need) then get the pro but the air is perfectly strong enough and it will only get better as iPad OS gets better and better.

I Use My iPad Air with a Apple Pencil. I‘m a chemistry Student. Before i got my New iPad Air 5, i had a Samsung Tablet with a Pencil. It worked really well, but it got Slower after 3 years, so i invested a little Bit More and got myself an iPad.

Ive just bought one of these and its making an odd clicking sound from the back of the Chassis, it sounds like its not been properly connected to the internal components. I'm going to take it back tomorrow, has anyone else experienced this?

I use both! I don’t pay for notability, I only use it to export PowerPoint slides and then export that into GoodNotes because that’s where GoodNotes lacks 😅. I prefer GoodNotes 100%
I have a desktop I mainly use for gaming, an iPad air (generation right before m1 was put in), and a macbook pro (newish but it has an intel chip). Really considering selling the macbook and the iPad towards a fancier iPad pro since I'll be going back to school but I'm scared my classes will use some stupid program that won't run on it. I'll be doing a trade program so who knows. The macbook just sits in a drawer now but I just can't get rid of it for some reason.

If you’re gonna watch vids and just read pdfs, kindle,etc get the mini as its really lightweight but if you need to write docs or notes get the air or even the 9th gen to save money and get an Apple Pencil ✏️

Get the pro . I had the air 4 and the motherboard spoilt 2 months after warranty, money down the drain just like that. judging from Air 5 the hardware should be the same as Air 4, just with the M1 processor
People will always find a reason to not like something. I’m not saying they’re all lying but it’s not all bad. There are a lot of complaints that the IPad Pro 12.9 bends. I haven’t seen a single video of a 12.9 iPad bending. 😂

I use the amazing and fast ipad m1 11.9 inch (no upgrades) in 2021 with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. It’s an amazing game and compatible device for students who does heavy work but needs a small device. DO NOT buy the m2 iPad Pro, it is almost the same as the m1 iPad Pro which is cheaper. Buy the iPad mini 5 if u want a one only for note taking and hand held gaming. the iPad Air 5 is an amazing device too. I didnt wait for it because i just thought this is better for me because of my work, and studying. The iPad 10 is amazing for your kids if they just wanna play games and watch. The IPad 10 also has a variety of cases to pick from online for your cute little kids 😂😂… BUT, my favourite of all is probably the IPad Pro 11.9 inch or the IPad Air 5 just because of how small and big they are (if u know what i mean ) but go with your heart, what your going to do picks what ipad you need for your self . Touch ID is harder to use than with the old button on the front. Can't really see the better screen resolution or see increase in speed, etc with better processor
If you live in the USA the schools learning software is compatible with Apple products. My brother did his undergrad and is now working on his PhD with a MacBook Pro.

Buy the iPad mini 5 if u want a one only for note taking and hand held gaming. the iPad Air 5 is an amazing device too. I didnt wait for it because i just thought this is better for me because of my work, and studying. The iPad 10 is amazing for your kids if they just wanna play games and watch. The IPad 10 also has a variety of cases to pick from online for your cute little kids 😂😂… BUT, my favourite of all is probably the IPad Pro 11.9 inch or the IPad Air 5 just because of how small and big they are (if u know what i mean ) but go with your heart, what your going to do picks what ipad you need for your self . Moved up to a pricier version for better screen resolution and processor ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA , but battery drains faster, and not having a button for control of apps turns out to be a problem. Touch ID is harder to use than with the old button on the front. Can't really see the better screen resolution or see increase in speed, etc with better processor

If you live in the USA the schools learning software is compatible with Apple products. My brother did his undergrad and is now working on his PhD with a MacBook Pro.
