Thank you for the positive comment. The small head cam I use gives the same view as my eyes, which means you see basically what I see, although the wide-angle lens does distort distances a bit.
Nice video Bob I know how you feel mate I've recently had covid myself and had shivers and sweats so very unpleasant. Looks a lovely stretch of river that bet it's good for chub in the winter.
Glad your on the mend bob and great video. Good little stretch that i fished it several times recently. Try the main river for bigger chub especially in the winter months 👍
Yes some cracking barbel there but its been a bit hard so far this season due to the conditions but it will improve. Chance of a biggie later in the season when the crowds have gone.
Hello Bob I enjoy your ‘vlogs’ .. May I ask what the head camera you use is called . Also have you ever considered buying a smaller reel for your chub fishing . Baitrunners are a great reel and I have several , however they are heavy on the wrist if fishing as you and I do. I bought a Daiwa ninja LT 4000 .. it’s so light it’s a pleasure to use 🌞🎣 All the best 😊
Hi Barry. The camera is an ORDRO EP7. I reviewed it in my video #18. They’ve recently released the EP8 so there are some deals out there on the EP7. It seems that the new model has a 120 degree wide angle lens, whereas the EP7 is 90 degrees. Personally I’m not keen on ultra wide angle as it introduces too much distortion, especially in the apparent distance of objects in view. With regards to the reel, I’ve had a couple of those Shimanos for ages. Totally reliable and well balanced with the double handle. I keep my rods pre-assembled and do in fact have a lighter Shimano on a light 9´ feeder rod, also Shimano as it happens. I find that the heavier reel actually balances quite well with the John Wilson rod I was using, which isn’t the lightest. Most the time I’m resting the butt on my knee and the rod on a rest, or on some vegetation when I forget the rest, so weight isn’t overly critical. I’m pleased you enjoy the videos.

Just watched your short video of barbel and chub feeding at Castor. Sort of thing that gets the pulse rate up if you're there watching it!

Great fishing Bob, a lovely looking stream, may I ask what landing net handle you use?
It's a Drennan Twistlock. I think they do it in different lengths now. Extendible with a half-twist to lock. Very light.
