When metal meets plastic at high speeds, of course there will be slight damage marks, same with metal on metal, the way i see it is this gen is still very much brand new so over time these "problems" will be smoothed out by TT come later releases, same with burst... kinks can be sorted to an extent but there will always be exceptions.
people like to complain over small things such as wearing down issues which is a thing in every products. Plastic Gen can wear down, MFBs can wear down and even Burst too. This whole wearing down thing is natural to happen regardless of how many times TT going to reinforce the contact points beyblades are still going to wear down eventually😂 Edit: seriously if people dont wanted to "stress" their contact points just dont battle them but wheres the fun of having beyblades? just buy another copies of your fave beyblade
I dont think you can have tops that hit as hard as X without also having damage like that, and I'd rather deal with some wear than boring fights with weak launchers.
The thing is also metal fight beys had the same problem at a very similar rate. Unless they make them with forged steel or a really strong metal this problem will continue. Considering we've never had battles this violent before ,I do think tt should change the metal alloy.
tbh the only metal wheel that I had a wear problem with is my gravity the nubs that from what I know are they main source of they wheels recoil did wear down overtime but that gravity does have it's years and multiple owners In it's life
If people want to be negative about the wear in the X Beys without looking for context, then so be it. But let’s also not forget about teeth wear that AFFECTED performance in the Burst beys.
Thanks for this Zankye. I think all things considered, the wear isn't _too_ bad. I was getting sick of the doom and gloom surrounding the gen, because Dransword already has some dents. I think the reason MFB didn't have this issue as much is because they didn't spin as fast and, like you said, they were more rounded off. I don't think it's as bad as Burst DB's wear. My Super M got a massive stress mark on day one of me owning it, since it took a big hit from Guilty. Granted, that didn't affect its performance, but it still kinda sucked. Also...y'know...Xipoid's sword tip. I think people are fearmongering for another reason, though. They're worried that X is going to have the same weight/size creep Burst did. Which, granted, there is a precedence for. Both with Burst itself, and MFB having weight creep, though not as much size creep from what I know. That said, I don't think Burst's power creep is necessarily a guarantee in X. Takara could very well only make the final season beys like 10 grams heavier, and not double the weight of season 1 stuff like Burst did.
I know you addressed it briefly but have you ever experienced the rachet being loose or too easy to move without much effort (like from left to right or up and down)? Cause I noticed that happening to my hasbro beys of dran dagger and tusk mammoth
Person A: "The new Beyblade X break so easily, mine alrady has this huge dent on the wing" Person B: "Oh gosh, did that happen in a battle? Person C: "No, it just fell of the window on my fifth floor...BUT STILL COULDN'T THEY MAKE THEM MORE DURABLE??!
I think the biggest wear issues will be with bits (specifically Needle bits), and everything else will be absolutely fine with some wear, especially with casual use. Competitively, it may be a slightly worse issue, but even then, you are going to have multiple copies of most bits and ratchets, and buying a new blade every once and a while for the most competitive ones isn't an issue imo.
What I'd like to see eventually, is that the ratchets have a metal ring. Similar to the gears and such. They could do this during the 2nd season and then increase the speed of the beyblades even further. This would increase ratchet durability. Now, the issue with this though is it'll limit a lot of things unfortuinately as these will still wear and make the beyblades bigger and heavier, but a counter solution is that if the metal surrounding the plastic is small, then it should be fine, hopefully. X can still implement rubber to the layers also, and this should be rather easy, as the best way they could do this without having them be too damaged is have it be snap on. If beyblade is a sport, or hobby, most hobbies will require replacement parts. RC's are are a great example! You will burn out motors, you WILL blow up tires. You WILL destroy servos. if they make beyblade easy to repair, and not too expensive, they can allow for these types of things. It'll also add a whole new strategy because takara tomy could legalize certain modded parts, especially rubber ones. This could add a whole new layer to competitive. These are just some small thoughts, and although there is (of course) some logistical issues, I think overall these thoughts are quite understandable. I'd love to see some Beyblade mods being legalized by takara tomy eventually. They could maybe make a program where they have a way that 3rd party companies can get products inspected and legalized by takara tomy, basically making it where they get (lets say) a 10% sales cut or something, still making them money but also making the sport more competitive by allowing more unique ideas and concepts being created.
Hmmm, examining the wear and comparing it to stuff from the HMS era of plastic gen it kinda reminds me of how damage would form on the Attack Rings of Wolborg MS (has a similar contact profile) and Advance Striker. Advance Striker being one of the beys you could flip the metal frame of to shift strategies. The standard being an upper attack approach while the flipped form having a smash attack approach. The real strength of the AR. Point is I've seen this type of wear on parts before from that part of plastic gen. Might be something to look into and discuss with those who have been a part of the community that long. See if you can find people who have had more HMS experience than I have even and see if they are able to compare these points since I don't have any X beys yet and I don't have a lot of the later HMS to compare with myself.
@@originalzankye Yeah. I was doing a lot of moving during the end of MFB so I didn't get to try out a lot of the 4D and ZeroG stuff. I shared a lot of Burst with my son though. Just wish my plastic gen collection stayed intact so I could share it with the little guy.
Metalfight wheels were the same way A lot of my metalfight wheels have dents and scrapes. That just comes with playing with toys that are meant to smash against each other
I think this has always been an issue with beyblade, there is a reason everyone jokes about blades being "awakened". This isnt anything to be worried about, i think most people expected this would happen.
Okay do metal fight layers also wear down like storm/ galaxy/blitz or even the ray metal ring and people didnt complain that much i think and now people are complaining so its not really TT’s fault because when metal hits metal there will always be a dent/scratch etc but that does not make it less fun to see these beyblade spin at high speeds
MFB had things like Earth breaking, Blitz could break, Variares did wear down on contact and Wyvang the same, these things have occurred in the past, maybe not to the same extent but a lot of this is fear mongering without research
What most people here are not mentioning is the thickness of the metal. For some reason these new beys feel kinda cheap. As if they like decided to cut down on the metal. The metal contact points are so thin, it wouldn't be surprising if those broke off or wore down easily
Those metal wear looks pretty normal given the intensity of the battles, it isnt really that big of a problem And ngl the wear is similar to MFB, reminds me of galaxy pegasus' metal wheel when you've battled with it for quite a while i think some burst fans are just overreacting, they mightve missed the metal saga cuz they were too young or sumn
I remember seeing this video but not watching it because it said (not really) so i figuired durability would be fine. Just got my leon claw and after a songle battle it burst and snapped off a part of the blade which connects to the ratchet. I think they need to add some reinforcement to the parts of the blade that are going to be the most vulnerable to shearing forces like the one that killed my leon.
I have no idea why you thought to comment on a video months old before the widespread launch of X, and much more data and context, there is a zankcast that talks about this
I feel like people forget who makes these beys, they have complaints with hasbro beys and then they project those complaints onto TT beys, like the two companies are even close to comparable
the only things that needs to be changed on these are 1. not implementing any plastic on the contacts 2. maybe consider somehow replacing plastic contact on the ratchet for a metal one (having the actuall nubs that give the ratchet it's name example: ''3''-60 be metal parts attached to the plastic ring via rivets) yes this could have a chance of making the previous ratchets outclassed but it could also have interesting gameplay implications like giving stamina types more owd or a better boost to power for attack types that can aline their contact points with the ratchests nubs the thing that I'm worried about are the teeth inside the ratchet that attach to the bit (they make it click so it's not fully free spinning) they are supposedly made from POM but I still hope we won't be having teeth wear 2.0 this time

how do you keep your beys shiny?
I think this has always been an issue with beyblade, there is a reason everyone jokes about blades being "awakened". This isnt anything to be worried about, i think most people expected this would happen.
People need to stop doing 100 beyblade x battles and shit. When you’re battling for that long of course it’s gonna happen.
where do you get that Bayblade stadium but the black box at
You get a wooden canvas and then paint it black
Im a fan of wear and tear. I like seeing the scars of the battles

My problem are my ratchets are super loose on some of my x beys after hardly any use is this just normal????
That's normal. The bits are supposed to move so they don't break when they hit the gear on the stadium

They are hollowed out
It’s probably because when the generation of X comes the gaps will be filled adding more metal in the same volume

seeing how beyblade x is meant to be a sport, i guess they arent made to last. so makes sense on a marketing sports stand point.

the thing that I'm worried about are the teeth inside the ratchet that attach to the bit (they make it click so it's not fully free spinning) they are supposedly made from POM but I still hope we won't be having teeth wear 2.0 this time
