The concept for this video echoes that of the "Da Funk" video, in that the track is treated as nothing more than a score against which the story plays out. "Fresh" was directed by Daft Punk themselves; Jonze makes a guest appearance as the director of Charles' film. Daft Punk wanted Charles to return in a happier environment, to cheer up fans who saw him in a depressing situation in the "Da Funk" video. This would see him enjoying an acting career, receiving compliments, and dating Beatrice.

there's a lot of random subtle clues that they have left along the trail that makes me believe theyre going to start completely fresh and new. maybe not soon, but they love music so much that currently nothing excites them to put anything out, they don't do anything without serious thought, we shall see
this is genuinely one of my favorite daft punk songs hands down, so seeing this music video get remastered after so long makes me unimaginably happy.

This song has been out since 1997, yet more than twenty years later it still sounds amazing, relaxing and (sorry for the pun) Fresh. It never gets old for me, I have been listening to this song for over 8 years now and I still love listening to it.
This album is immortal. Another 20 years it will still be relevant.

I own the D.A.F.T dvd and the music video is much more higher quality.
The longer it's been since Homework was released the more fresh that album seems, the current underground house scenes are starting to move back into the french touch style.
A Fresh Legacy, their music never gets old, it will always be with us.

Yop, D.A.F.T. starting this depressing way, then few unrelated videoclips so you somehow forget abouf Charles, then out of blue you got sunset on beach, Charles filming a movie and riding into the distance with a hottie.

This sample song hits us differently now.
I’ll never forget tripping to this with my little high school girlfriend… ended up really getting into black lights color and textures…. Wonder if they still have the dress we made of suran wrap… the beach visuals are fun and all but I have to admit that the dialogue overwhelms the mix a little bit and put me in a different place… did I mention that the fluid in glow sticks seems like a fun finger paint but it burns pretty bad!

Edit: And yet. I’m still here. Moving forward. In any shape, way or form. And that is what matters, what counts. I want to make more years of my life like ‘97. Not stare at it from far away and even more with each that passes. But rather, to make moments as special as that year. I know things change. But neither all of them do for worse (or for the better). Bad things also happened that year but that never even came close to stopping me from enjoying life. Situations change constantly and also does responsibilities. But life remains the same.
Tough, rough, funny, hateful, lovely, sad and tragic and yet joyful all at the same time. It never has been perfect, it never will, yet it doesn’t need to, to be wonderful.
It’s been 25 years from this and I’ll still be coming back, but felt this urge to do so now, considering the time and date.
I wish a Happy New Year’s Eve and a prosper 2022 to anyone who reads this.
I’d never got the chance to see them live by the way but that didn’t stop them from impacting my life. Happy new year for Guy and Thomas too!
