    Hey Scotty. This is one exercise I enjoy because it involves cable weight and I do use the rope, because when you lower your arms, I can expand my arms at the bottom.
    Also, you're from the 1980s. When I get my next SSI disability deposit, I'm going after my NES, SNES, Genesis and Wii games I had to sell at an estate sale after my dad passed 2 years ago. I'm going to go on eBay to get them back. Such games like Ninja Turtles, Mystical Ninja, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter II, Sonic The Hedgehog, Mega Man III, Donkey Kong Country and many more.

    • @ScottHermanFitness

    hey scott, i prefer taking a foot to a foot and a half's distance and having my arms strictly by my side, is that wrong?
    I tried having my arm go a bit forward when the bar goes up like you do at 2:40 and it doesn't feel really great to me, i feel a bit of pain in my delts cus they're weak. If I become super strict with my form and keep my arms to the side, i feel really great!
    Also, I feel great now to bend when doing this exercise after seeing you do it too. I always felt better bending. Nearly everyone I see in the gym does it straight and moves their arms forward a lot during the upper portion.
    Btw, idk why you say unilateral powerbombs are wrong. I feel like they're great to prevent muscle imbalances and actually feel great compared to regular ones cus the triceps can move in a more natural path away from the midsection of the body. I started using cables for single arm overhead extensions cus i love the way it feels to move my arms naturally and i always prefer unilateral exercises for smaller muscles.
    Anyways, thanks for the video! I didn't really have any problems with my triceps i just love watching your vids haha!

    About the overhead tricep extension (as the exercise is really called): how is using 1 dumbbell for 2 arms heavier than using 2 dumbbells 😅😂
    Using 1 db for 30kg or 2 for 15kg is the same weight ya know.
    That's like saying you shouldnt do dumbbell benchpress bcs you have 2 dumbbells in 2 arms whereas with barbell bench press you hold 1 barbell in 2 arms. Makes no sense scottie 😂 doesn't have anything to do with isolation like you say.

    • @ScottHermanFitness
      @ScottHermanFitness  4 місяці тому

      Well, go grab a 50 pound dumbbell and record yourself doing it with one arm using full range of motion, all the way down and all the way up for 8 reps and then do the same thing with a 100 pound dumbbell using both arms and send it to me and let’s see how it works out for you.

    • @MrLugar45
      @MrLugar45 4 місяці тому

      With single dummbells you can flare out your elbows in any angle that feels comfortable, with one dumbbell it forces your elbows in. That feels more awkward, but I doubt that there is a study showing that that angle would be more beneficial.

    • @ScottHermanFitness

      what range of motion? Your triceps "extend the elbow". Not the shoulder.
      This is the exact BS that is cluttering your workout. It's "cute for tiktok views" not for gains.
