I've upgraded mine, bought some really powerful disc shaped 15x10mm neodymium magnets, and now I can stir up to 10L like a charm without any stir bar jumps.
Ha! I lost it when it was going in circles on the metal pot! hahaha. Thanks for this! Two questions. I'm concerned it doesn't have an "off" button? Do I have to unplug it? Or does it click/turn off on the low setting? Have you /can you test it on a Mason jar? I am wondering since those have a rounded bottom, if the stirrer will stay?
It clicks/turns off on the low setting. I have a glass container with a thick concave bottom that I tested with and the stirrer didn't stay. I find that it varies with the thickness of the container your using, I had tested with metal pots with a thicker bottom and the stirrer didn't work for those either.

What component did you replace with the magnets, the ones inside the machine?
