    Looks great! I’m looking to build with these. Do you mind if I ask how much the cost of the block was?

      Here in Ontario, Canada a 10” standard block (18” high x 96” long) is $69.50 and a 10” 90 degree corner is $34.75. I believe they have 6”, 8”, 10”, and 12” widths depending on your building requirements.
      Nudura is a great system and I would highly recommend them based on our experience. One thing I would suggest…if you are going to use them, then design your building dimensions around the block sizes (2” increments). You can avoid unnecessary cuts and the “common” seams which requires extra bracing and involves more time.
      Thanks for watching!

    At 0:40 of the video I noticed that the upper and lower front wall sections of the forms do not look to be in alignment…with the lower section looking forward of the upper section about the width of the foam. I’m sure it is just a camera angle or it is intentionally done. Nice project by the way.

      It must be the camera angle. 🤷‍♂️

    Where's the rebar in the lower sections?

    • @kevcatbuildit9478
      @kevcatbuildit9478  2 місяці тому

      There is horizontal rebar at every course of ICF block and vertical rebar was placed after all the rows were stacked. Thanks for watching!

    meby a stuped question . but where are the doors to get out of the basement ?

      It is probably hard to tell at this point, but there is a step footing where the front section is lower by at least 4’ to protect against frost. So we will be backfilling up to the top of that foundation and then building 2x6 walls where the windows and doors will be incorporated.
      I probably didn’t explain it well enough but hopefully this will become clearer as we continue building and sharing. Stay tuned. 😀
      Thanks for watching!
