Emotional Abuse is a thing. Emotional abuse tends to be up there with mental abuse. People can play on heart strings. For instance. My mother was emotionally abusive. She would pull the “ If you were a real daughter you would do X.” Things like guilt tripping. Those things leave people feeling emotionally bruised.

I learned this from my mother and father and their partners that gave life to many half siblings. Im 30 now and haven't had much of a life on my own. Stuck supporting my own siblings with No displine , no structure, and "just do as i say". Left as soon as the youngest graduated high-school.
Ironically, I had a similar conversation with a young man at the Store (Burton, MI) yesterday he stated to me how I out of touch these Black Female Women are and there is no way these Women are Marriage material let alone raising Children.

My parents tried that with my 2 sisters. I was out of the house before there divorce. They stopped doing that. Between me and my sisters we convinced them both of how it was hurting us. And how even with the divorce we still loved both if them. And because I was an adult. I said listen if you feel you must speak to us about your feelings which means speaking against the other. Only do so with me. I will listen and try to give advice. But because my sisters where not able to be on there own do to being under 18 that it would be best. Sometimes the child needs to take the aniciative to stop the parents from putting the kids in between there own problems. Not all kids know how to do this though or how to go about doing this. That is the sad part.

We have too many in our community who are outright selfish and unfit to be parents. Unfortunately for us, the bulk of them are female, since the majority of the men are childless.
