LOVE this! I am a chap stick, lip balm junkie and since I've gotten hooked on Revlon Butter lipsticks I swear my lips always feel chapped and dry! I can't wait to try this out!!! Thank YOU!
You make everything so easy! I made your "Sugar Cookie" body scrub the other day, (love it), and now, because I'm addicted to lip balm, I can make my own and hopefully stop spending so much money on store bought balms. Thanks for all of your videos...you're fast becoming one of my favorites on YT.
I make my lip balms myself as well! I just prefer using cocoa butter and shea butter base and a tablespoon of almond oil. And I never add essential oils: my concern is that they might be irritating. I add Vanilla sugar, though. The one used for cooking. I add it, it melts and blends well with oils and butters and leaves a nice vanilla sweet scent. In my last DIY I added a little bit of red L'Oreal lipstick that I rarely use due to the bad texture of lipstick.I enjoyed watching this video, thanks!
I found your videos for hair, but just started watching your natural products videos and they are awesome. I'm a Clinical Herbalist and these are very great recipes!! I make alot of products in my practice but not as much as I could and my youngest daughter (I have 3 girls) really is enjoying your videos, so you have inspired me to make more products with my girls.
Wanted to say that I made this with my niece about a month ago. We did a couple of different colors, but kept to the vanilla creamsicle recipe. The balms turned out great. We put them in round tins and also in regular twist-up lip balm containers. They turned out great and we had a fun time making them! She took a picture of the finished products and posted it on her Snapchat. Gave some away to friends, I believe. :) Thanks for a great tutorial!
Feel free to use whatever you like for tinting, beet powder works great for pink tones. For myself I don't mind using lipstick for tint since I'm really into makeup and wear it almost everyday anyway. :)
My question is, Where did you get the containers? Im sorry if this is a dumb question! Anyways if she said it in the video im sorry, I skipped through half if it P.s. Did that make sense?
I do love your tutorials! I would like to kindly point out that Vitamin E is not a preservative but is an antioxidant that will help extend the life of the oils it is added to when they are exposed to oxygen. It won't keep the nasties from growing unfortunately. Also, check out Bramble Berry for the raw ingredients and supplies for a project such as this. They're awesome! Keep up the good work!
3:16 For people who want to go directly to the DIY :) Yeah. :0 I love your channel, and your videos :D ESPECIALLY the DIY videos! You are very pretty and I love your eye color and eyelashes. :> And your hair color is nice toooooooh. my hair is almost fading into that color :3 (I have highlights!)
With vitamin e, they should keep nicely for up to 1 year, no need for refrigeration. I tend to use mine up within a few months time though because I use it every morning and night.
You can use a very little amount, about one drop, just don't microwave it. You should mix it in after everything is melted. If you don't, it'll explode.
This looks really simple. I've tried to make lip balm before, but the recipe wasn't what I was looking for and I wasn't too familiar with oils at the time. I'll give this one a go for sure, thanks!
Hi Christine! I love this. So simple to do. The hard part is ordering all of the ingredients. Please do more body care recipes. I have gotten into making soap. It actually is hard work and time consuming. Please make sure your recipes are very moisturizing.
+Raquel Bermejo Absolutely! I ONLY use Young Living Essential Oils. I know how they are made and I know they are pure... seedtoseal.com :) Glad you made your comment!
First of all, the term "natural" does not equal non toxic...(especially in the cosmetic world where regulations are very loose) Secondly, she specifically shows what she is using for tint in the video and it is a "Revlon" product, NOT a lipstick free of toxic ingredients, "natural" or synthetic.
MORE BODY PRODUCTS! I am IN LOVE with the lotion bars I made using your recipe! And you inspired me to finally start looking for homes in Kauai! Thank you for these wonderful tutorials!
I know this is a old video, but does anyone know Where to get those heart shaped tins? I loved the video but I am going to put a preservative in it..Sorry, but Vitamin E is excellent for the skin and lips but is NOT a preservative..See Christines Blog on this...and by the way Christine thank you.. I really liked this idea..
Im going to make this for my mom. she loves creamsicle. I think this would work well if i used peppermint too cause my lips love that. Great idea and video.
Do you have a crock pot? You can get some of those crock pot liners and heat up all your ingredients inside that as an alternative to the double boiler method. I made my Lush-type massage bars that way and it turned out great. I will have to try your lip balm recipe also! LOVE the new hair. It looks natural and beachy. xo thanks for the videos!
Watching all your diy beauty products just gave me a great idea for christmas gifts this year. yes i realize it's a bit early to think about dec. but i come from a large family and have many friends. lol. please do more diys! xoxo
I made your lip balm today. I tweeked it a little since I didn't have everything you use but it turned out lovely. No more purchasing lip balm for me, this was super easy to make. Thank you for your tips :) Love watching your videos
Hi Christine, thanks for your very informative video, enjoying it, just want to ask if we can use natural colour instead of coloured lipstick. If we can, what is your suggestion for that? Thanks
Thanks for sharing! I love cinnamon oil!! I've been dabbling in lip plumping potions too. I mix it with coconut oil, oh my word, such a delicious lip treat! :)
I know you can purchase zinc oxide online and add that to the lip balm. I haven't tried it yet but when I do, I'll be sure to share the recipe on here and my blog. This lip balm is only about an SPF 6 with the Shea butter.
Great DIY Video. I really like your videos because they are short &sweet and to the point. Also you give easy options, suggestions and w/the why you do a step or don't do it.
Nope, the oils soften the wax but you could easily skip both and use only butters instead. I actually love plain whipped shea butter as a lip moisturizer.
Loved it, but I would have loved to see you apply it,to,see how sheer the color is. What about OCC lip tars can those be used as colors? I am definitely trying this recipe. Please keep them coming, I do love and appreciate the effort you put into your videos.
Christine, thank you so much for this video. These lip balms would make great gifts, especially in the fun tins. Also,I agree that your new hair looks amazing, it really compliments your eyes.
Loving the colour of you hair, it looks so healthy ! and i love how much effort you put into you videos they are so creative :) Will definatly be trying this !!
I will try making these some point this week if it turns out gd I will make a load and use as my wedding favours. I'm so glad I came across ur video adding this to my favourite
Yummy! I have been running out lip balm lately and I don't you exactly buy a new one so I like making my own lip balm until I get a chance to buy some.
hey christine...love your video on the lip balms..thank you so much for everything you do..it is greatly appreciated..your hair color is spot on..ps you and your husband are definitely made for one another...you both compliment each other very well..thanks again..pss. thanks for the declutter videos too..i am learning to live with and do less with makeup and skin care and avoid the hassle and stress of too much and waste..you dont need a lot to be happy..just hold on to what works...
Hey pinksofoxy! I had a question! I wanted to ask where you got those heart shaped tin pots! i;ve been looking everywhere for lip balm tins or jars but i can't seem to find the right one. and the ones you used in this video are super cute! Could you please let me know where you got em and how much they were? also what size they hold? Thank you so much i will definitely try this recipe of lip balm!
a year ago or so I tried pure 100% cinnamon oil on my lips after somebody recommended it as an cheap alternative to lip venom. It worked better than any commercially produced lip venom I've ever tried. After watching this I made my own balm using just cinnamon oil and wax. It doesn't have that much pluming potency now but it still makes my lips look and taste great. Basically I apply cinnamon oil before living the house and maintain pluming the effect for longer by using the balm Thank you!
Hi Christine! Loved the video. I was wanting to know where you get your Vitamin E at? I can't see the brand of it in the video to be able to look it up. Can you use the Vitamin E that you find in the vitamin isle at Walmart? Can't wait to try your recipe! Thank you!
So when we've put them in the molds, we just let it set? Don't have to be refrigerated or anything, right? It's a really cute idea, I'm going to have to try this soon! ^^
Just stumbled upon your page and I'm glad I did. I'm always looking for new D.I.Y. projects for hair and beauty. I'll definitely try these out. Looks like they would make great gifts for my neice.
Hair looks great!!!! I love your recipe videos. They always inspire me to make my own natural products. Favourite so far: oatmeal honey scrub. Gives you skin to die for!!! Cheers!
Diy starts at 3:16

Great video, but Vitamin E is not a preservative. It is an antioxidant.
Would it mess anything up if I doubled/tripled the recipe to make more at one time?
3:17 is when the tutorial starts!! ;)
Thank youuu! 🙌🏼😋
+Kaytlyn..
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻thank u for being that person
God bless your soul
Olivia Strefezza Lol why thank you.

i can't get over how gorgeous your hair is and the fact that you did it by yourself!
I love this side of UA-cam
Feel free to use whatever you like for tinting, beet powder works great for pink tones. For myself I don't mind using lipstick for tint since I'm really into makeup and wear it almost everyday anyway. :)

she got it only from etsy online theres a lin to it i the descripition bar
Okay thanks!
No its not dumb micheals or dollar store i used shot glasses and covered it with tinfoil

Thnkss.. ur comment helped 😂
Thanks lol I hate long intros
:) yay
With vitamin e, they should keep nicely for up to 1 year, no need for refrigeration. I tend to use mine up within a few months time though because I use it every morning and night.
You could use food coloring and if your coconut oil is not infused with vanilla you could use vanilla extract
Your hair looks so natural this way, I absolutely love it Christine!
I was wondering if you could use food coloring for this.
PLS don't use food coloring its diys UR lips and get stuck on ur lips I've done that like with purple its a pain to remove it
Okay, thanks so much for your help. I'll make sure I don't use it!
Thanks for your help!
loliloide guerson I have used food colouring and it works fine, but don't put too much or it will stain your lips
You can use a very little amount, about one drop, just don't microwave it. You should mix it in after everything is melted. If you don't, it'll explode.

thank you ! you helped my alot could you do a video on how to make your own lip gloss or lip stick ? but thanks really helped ...
you can put it in a lip stick tube (you know that right?)
Yeah and oh and thanks lol x
jasmine Harris no
what y what the hell ?
what do you mean?
If you want to, you can refrigerate them. It just makes the process of them molding and taking form quicker, if that's what you prefer to do.
Anybody in 2023...or just me??😢
Hi Christine! I love this. So simple to do. The hard part is ordering all of the ingredients. Please do more body care recipes. I have gotten into making soap. It actually is hard work and time consuming. Please make sure your recipes are very moisturizing.
Just be careful about using any essential oil. Not all essential oils are edible.
+Raquel Bermejo Absolutely! I ONLY use Young Living Essential Oils. I know how they are made and I know they are pure... seedtoseal.com :) Glad you made your comment!
A dap won't hurt nothing 💄 💋
It's diluted because of the use of all the oils. She's not making a dish out of it.
Look for "cosmetic grade" oils. Many oils out there are for use in diffusers and not suitable for your lips or safe for any part of your body.
you're so creative. i've been looking for a tutorial without vaseline and with actual moisturizing oils.
Great video, but why ruin the natural recipe with a toxic lipstick? You can use beetroot, cocoa, or any natural colorant to tint it.
I use beetroot powder and it's a very sensitive tint so I would not recommend it for beginners
+NosyButNice All lipsticks are not toxic. there are brands that have natural ingredients,
What colorants can I order that are organic and vegan
NosyButNice I agree with you 😏
First of all, the term "natural" does not equal non toxic...(especially in the cosmetic world where regulations are very loose) Secondly, she specifically shows what she is using for tint in the video and it is a "Revlon" product, NOT a lipstick free of toxic ingredients, "natural" or synthetic.

victoria Ciolek Amazon?
she mentioned Etsy but I think eBay would also carry them
victoria Ciolet, it's at target
Vitamin E is included in recipes like this because it is a natural preservative.
BabyNapoleon sorry but vitamin e is an antioxidant NOT a preservative. it lengthens shelf life but has no preservative properties at all.
5:17 OMG I've got the *exact same* lipstick! Same shade, same company and same everything!😍😍
I was wondering if instead of using a lipstick could crayons be used?
yes it can be used i did it w/ crayons but choose a color u will like b'cause it turns the lip balm the color
Thank you!
Be sure to add a bit more oil then, because crayons are harder than lipstick
maybe crayons could be used instead of bees wax.
Manpreet B no problem, glad I could help:-)
These are really great. Seems like a great gift idea for friends and family! Winter here in the Midwest means lipbalms are a must!! Thanks!!
Im going to make this for my mom. she loves creamsicle. I think this would work well if i used peppermint too cause my lips love that. Great idea and video.
I will definitely be trying these in the twist-up lipbalm format.. so cute!! Does the tint actually come out on your lips?
Do you have a crock pot? You can get some of those crock pot liners and heat up all your ingredients inside that as an alternative to the double boiler method. I made my Lush-type massage bars that way and it turned out great. I will have to try your lip balm recipe also! LOVE the new hair. It looks natural and beachy. xo thanks for the videos!

Thanks! Love them. The ingredients are all good things. Now where do I get the monoi tiki tahiti vanilla coconut oil?....did I get that right?
I know you can purchase zinc oxide online and add that to the lip balm. I haven't tried it yet but when I do, I'll be sure to share the recipe on here and my blog. This lip balm is only about an SPF 6 with the Shea butter.
Thank you so much!! Yes I think OCC lip tars would work great for tinting balms. :)
Love this! Great gift idea too. If I carry them in my purse on a hot day, will they melt?
Great DIY Video. I really like your videos because they are short &sweet and to the point. Also you give easy options, suggestions and w/the why you do a step or don't do it.

Love!! I'm a fellow Oregonian, always love your videos & love your style! Kudos!!!
You can use a fine milled cosmetic glitter. If you dont want glitter bits, even if theyre small, You can always use a fine milled mica.
Very nice presentation and very detailed. Thank You so much!!!
Awesome video! I watch all your videos. Love love love your channel. Thank you for sharing your time with everyone!
Do the lip balms you made have a flavor? I like mine to taste a little sweet. The batches you made look good. :)

That is very cool and plus you made many of them very super inspiring
This looks so amazing, the moment I scrolled down and I saw this... I realised that YOU ARE THE BEST!!! 😏
a year ago or so I tried pure 100% cinnamon oil on my lips after somebody recommended it as an cheap alternative to lip venom. I seriously love all your homemade DIY videos soo much !! Xo

I seriously love everything about your channel. By the way, do you think an OCC lip tar would work to give it a tint?
I hope I remember this next Christmas! So awesome
