I ran a timewalking dungeon a couple weeks ago as a healer. The ret paladin died and then blamed me. Except he was taking damage. I couldn't keep the tank up and the ret pally at the same time. But the ret pally just kept taking damage. I was like what are you taking damage from. I should have checked to make sure he wasn't prot with a two-handed weapon lol I was only level 35ish. I can only do so much, and the tank matters more than the dps lol
there’s a lot of issues with the scaling in timewalking rn and just classic in general, a lot of attacks that target the dps instead of the tank that does a shit ton of damage, and if you have a low level tank and high level dps they end up taking aggro real fast.
Honestly, so many people are taking opportunity with the current timewalking to level alts. This means a lot of people running classes they aren't good at or don't understand. This is noticeable most with healers and tanks. When you get stuck with that debuff, it's incredibly frustrating. The thing that annoys me the most are the twinks taking advantage of the scaling or just the low level toons rushing ahead obliterating everything. Free dungeon? Yeah, but boring as hell.
As a tank main, that healer is such a freaking Chad for vote kicking the tank like that. Way too many people blame the healer for everything, and time walking isn’t that serious.
I did some holy priest TW and the tank was a level 71 BDK with 171k hp. I was fully geared with champion gear as a level 80, but keeping up with his fragile hp was terrible. We only wiped once but that was because he pulled all the mobs up to the first boss and he got overwhelmed. No one was being toxic but that 171k hp really made it stressful.
I was leveling my dk in timewalking, DM, healer dies in furnace boss so I cr him, we get to the stairs before the admiral boss, healer is busy looting, tank pulls everything even Vancleef... He even gets inside where even if the healer was in range he couldn't see him... Dies. I die. Everyone does. We release and go back to the boss. I'm kicked. I presume it was because I didn't cr him, but you know, cds are a thing.
I main a paladin tank and I see a lot of tanks that disregard their mob types when they make their insane pulls. Too many tanks don't consider mobs with stacking bleeds, casters with CC especially fear casters and so on. I watch tanks try to pull all of the undead at the start of Strat all the way to the live mobs and the chaos that ensues is typical.
i can literally solo timewalking dungeons. the problems i run into is dps seeing how easy things are going, not realizing the healer is doing essentially nothing, then mass pulling assuming everything is going to be fine. havent actually wiped to this yet, though i have had some very close calls and had to explain more than a few times i was already pulling at the limit of what the party can handle. as an aside, i dont think players from different levels should be grouped together. scaling is whack, and always will be. im not sure if it feels worse having someone 70 levels lower out dps you, or someone 20 levels lower unable to heal the dungeon... but they both feel bad. as a returning player scaling is probably the change/addition i hate the most.
I don’t know I’ve been playing a while for a long time so when I noticed a tank pulling the whole dungeon, I just don’t DPS until he has aggro and just stick to his ass like glue like we’re butt buddies
Great analysis, thank you! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I just leveled a pally in TW. There are a few times where I was god-mode, then leveled up and was like paper. 72 was one of those. I was basically indestructible until I leveled. I gathered a bunch of new expansion gear and I was fine. The same thing happened where I had to stop and catch up to the 300 ilvl, and 400 ilvl. If I were any other spec, it would not have been noticeable. I usually heal, and when I have problems, it is because I have aggro or the tank LOS me. Or they just do something crazy. TW is a little wonky with scaling. Also, ZF has some crazy mechanics that screw over healers if not kept up with. Flame and healing totems. Blood drinkers.
Had a shaman ask me why I didn't use my brez on my pally in grim batol and I was like...I did, I got the healer up and then I was immediately dead. The fuck you want me to do, be God?
See, this is why I don't run regular dungeons anymore. Unless it's a guild group, it's going to have the guys who run level1000 keys in Mythics, are used to one direction in a dungeon and run at full speed with lots of mob pulls. I honestly think the Mythic keys have made dungeon running much worse. I would LOVE to see a timed dungeon where you have to kill EVERYTHING in the room to get out to go to the next room. You have a time frame to do it in and there are penalties for getting through too slow, but also for going too fast. I do follower dungeons, delves, and the occasional raid with my guild. I just have refused to do pugs due to the crazy.
People are so eager to click yes when the vote to kick pops up. The prompt just has to appear on the screen and everybody in the group will click it 9/10 times even if the run is going smooth and nothing bad is happening.
A bit of an absurd take, and as you admitted you're "possible bias" (which is clearly obvious) pulling a 2+ packs on a new healers does not make them bad, it makes you a jerk. ZF has mobs that will cast polly on you and AoE fire. Nothing like the tank pulling 2+ packs while the whole group stands in the multiple Fire AoE's then blame the healer for being bad. In fact it's the DPS that all stood in the AoE, not only does the healer have to keep up the tank who has 8-10 mobs beating on him, but now the tank is standing in multiple fire AoE's and all the DPS too and expects the healer to save them all??? Unless you are geared that's not going to happen. I stopped healing due to jerk tanks like that, I'm not a miracle worker. I came in 2nd all week long on my LFR raid heals yet get kicked from dungeons because of stupid tanks and DPS that all stand in fire AoE's while pulling 2+ packs at a time.
I have had good runs and Extremely terrible runs when I’m healing. So many tanks forget what active mitigation is in TW. Pull like dumb a**. When I tank I test the group in the first couple pulls to see what they can handle. If they are good than I pull heavier if they struggle I slow down
Not to mention the amount of silence/interrupt that exists in old dungeons, which will chain lock you when they yolo pull everything and need you the most 😅
So I've been trying to get all classes to 80 over the last few weeks using only timewalking and the level of what you can can't do is freaking massive. My 70 DH could solo pull the dungeon in one pull finishing with 95% of the damage and healing done all the way up to 78ish where I had to do it in a couple big pulls. While my 70 BM can't do more then 1 pack at a time. I had a level 10 prot warrior using a 1h weapon try and tank and died every pack flamed my healing. Next one I had a level 10 fury warrior as a the tank I barely healed. I have done tons of runs where it is a 1 or 2 pack pull dungeon like we are doing m+ and other runs where it is one person soloing the dungeon the scaling is all over the place. 8/13 to 80 and everything else is in the 75+ range I started this 20 year thing with just my main at max level.
Timewalking is a joke in every variety EXCEPT classic. I have never once had an issue with a timewalking dungeon until classic timewalking came out. I don't know if its just because of the design of classic dungeons, people not knowing the dungeons, or the massive level gaps since you can get into it starting at level 10, or a mix of it. But it has been an absolute nightmare running classic dungeons for me. While levelling my shaman I was constantly getting obliterated on dps because the tanks couldnt seem to keep aggro. I run into an issue CONSTANTLY where 2-3 people know the route and how to get to bosses but the other 2-3 have no clue where they're going and either get left behind so the group can speedrun like normal timewalking or the ones who do know have to sit there and try and get the lost ones attention in the chat they're not looking at and the dungeon takes 45 min. Its brutal. I think classic dungeons just kinda suck tbh, or at the very least their design is not conducive to the way that people play the modern game. It especially doesnt help that classic tw is just so boring since 4/5 dungeons are just 2 wings of the same place, they should've picked better dungeons since classic just has so many.
Me as a MW: competes with the tank on who can pull first and rush fastest and do most dmg set GO best run was with a brewmaster god the team couldnt keep up it was great 😂
For some reason atonement just doesn't seem to do much healing during timewalking levelling, so it becomes flash heal spam (at least that was my experience). On the bright side, going oom as disc is almost impossible.
I got as a dps because I went to the bathroom after we killed a boss and the group just kept on moving. Retail is super toxic and I had to quit because it's no longer a MMO to me. It's just a speedrun grind-fest that has lost its meaning.
I love when I get those, but while level 11 fury warriors are abusing scaling to get overpowered, plenty of people are at a level where scaling makes them insanely weak. A lot of people don't adapt to their current scaling.
@rfo98b yeah I understand I built a twink just for farming time walking an to me it's funny how you can just pull like a mad man an not even die unless stun to long or disarmed as for the scaling my main is decently geared I might hit 1 million plus DPS my twink how ever is up to 8 million plus DPS so that shows how broken the scaling really is
i got flamed hard by a tank for not healing while i was a 20 evoker and he a 80 dh pulling 50 mobs in hellfire citadel. there are so many morons out there
Bro timewalking scaling in classic is absolutely messed up. I have a 615 warr tank and i have been bitch slapped around even though i have no problem tanking huge piles in +9 delves or +3-4 dungeons.
Part of the problem is because people don’t actually play the game. They are doing chores and anything that slows them done one bit is the worst thing and deserves ridicule. Very unhealthy mindset and I feel sorry for them. As a family man with a full time job, I make sure I enjoy every activity I do when enjoying my hobbies. People need to slow down and enjoy the ride and if you don’t get off and do something else. Don’t waste your time.
wowie... making lvl11 twink to solo carry any TW dungeon takes 30mins - the scaling is so off that you can be doing x20 damage of lvl80 634ilvl character
some say wow's in a great spot others say it's horrid...me personally its a hit and miss for both cata classic, SoD, Classic Classic and TWW...i'm just ready to relive mop and put the game down for good the moment MoP classic ends...and wish happiness for all players who still play this old af game xD edit: the reason it's a miss for me is because I'm tired of how serious people take the game now and blizzards way to dang slow for how big they are to react on fixing things...and balancing around the 1% for MDI, Arena World Cup, Raid World 1st etc and healers are in a bad state OP in pvp but lacking in pve...especially in a fun factor.
If you can press your buttons, TW can be done in less than 10 minutes, some less than 5. Nobody wants to spend 25 minutes in a dg because the tank or healer didn't take 5 minutes to read their spells. That's the real toxic behavior; kicking people who can't play a lvl 12 character is not. Same for kicking lvl 71s wearing 250 ilevel gear dying to single mobs. Completely fine. Go to the ah and buy a set of greens for 2k. 99% of players just click yes for a vote to kick. T'is the way.
Blizzard games are built to support toxic behaviour, I have 10k hours across overwatch , diablo 123 , hearthstone. Toxic tools all over the place . PPL with 1000 hours playtime getting into Ranked match with someone who has barely finished the tutorial. At one point player portraits got removed just as you were able to tell his experience by his border 😂 , what a joke , same for Diablo . In Hearthstone you don't even have a Global chat , wtf ? Ppl in normal/HC raid are still roll NEED for anything as I thought it's was just a LFR thing , frustration all over the place , how lazy and disgusting by blizzard. Just don't talk about and kick fast , keep playing , that's what blizzard wants ! It's 100% Blizzard fold!!
I question blizzard doing this on purpose so get away ogga boga we actually have to think by doing maybe down line make dungeon raids more harder. So in long win win in there eyes. I like think this then testing retail players maybe actually communicate even just text chat
@@ShawnSetGO you say that like it's a bad thing! We're already there. No one wants to engage in discourse and would rather hit a button to ignore others exist. Societal erosion. :(
The guy who initiated the votekick missclicked the tank guy instead of the healer guy, and as usual people just hit Yes without checking. Why are you dissecting this so hard?
I play a healer and my husband plays a tank. I refuse to heal these groups because of the toxicity. I will only go as far as healing for the world boss and I've noticed something when I am in those groups. I am usually the only healer or there's just one other. I don't care about the gear or the content, it's not worth being around these players. I do small content and level characters on the weekends with hubby and I'm good.
They tuned up these dungeons. Almost all of them have something new to deal with. But most players are still just ogga boga. It's time walking so no interrupts and stand in the bad all day long. Just dumb behavior. My favorite has been the massive thorns on the last boss of Dire Maul. I tell the party what's up and let them know we need to sooth or go a bit slower to not die, but they just commit suicide over and over. When they start trying to get on my case I just point to my previous chat and suggest that mechanics do mater.
If that guy is smart enough to pull this off, he’s smart enough to heal a timewalking wall to wall. He probably was watching netflix on another screen or something.

I don’t know I’ve been playing a while for a long time so when I noticed a tank pulling the whole dungeon, I just don’t DPS until he has aggro and just stick to his ass like glue like we’re butt buddies
Thank your local timewalking twinks when you encounter them
Great analysis, thank you!
Lava totem keeps you warm-All DPS
People have the delusion that wow this days is like what we played back in the day fact is that I would pick ai players over humans in a flash.
Me a dps trying to play tot wackamole when the tank pull everything up to that fountain of skull before the first boss
2nd in LFR healing tho…….
I have had good runs and
Extremely terrible runs when I’m healing.
8/13 to 80 and everything else is in the 75+ range I started this 20 year thing with just my main at max level.
bruh i got kicked for playing holy priest in timewalking cause i couldnt keep up with the dh leaping 30 years ahead
Me as a MW: competes with the tank on who can pull first and rush fastest and do most dmg set GO
best run was with a brewmaster god the team couldnt keep up it was great 😂
As a disc priest its not easy to heal these dungeons, communication is key.
Loving time walking on my 11 fury warrior twink full gems enchants and its great pumping 5.5mill dps on a level 80's details meter 😂😂
Have you seen what a geared level 11 warrior does in time walking dungeon's it's easy to pull from boss to boss an don't need a healer
I love when I get those, but while level 11 fury warriors are abusing scaling to get overpowered, plenty of people are at a level where scaling makes them insanely weak.
A lot of people don't adapt to their current scaling.
@rfo98b yeah I understand I built a twink just for farming time walking an to me it's funny how you can just pull like a mad man an not even die unless stun to long or disarmed as for the scaling my main is decently geared I might hit 1 million plus DPS my twink how ever is up to 8 million plus DPS so that shows how broken the scaling really is
i got flamed hard by a tank for not healing while i was a 20 evoker and he a 80 dh pulling 50 mobs in hellfire citadel. there are so many morons out there
Dear lord you probably only had like 3 spells
Bro timewalking scaling in classic is absolutely messed up. I have a 615 warr tank and i have been bitch slapped around even though i have no problem tanking huge piles in +9 delves or +3-4 dungeons.
Oh lord that's awful
Part of the problem is because people don’t actually play the game. They are doing chores and anything that slows them done one bit is the worst thing and deserves ridicule. Very unhealthy mindset and I feel sorry for them. As a family man with a full time job, I make sure I enjoy every activity I do when enjoying my hobbies. People need to slow down and enjoy the ride and if you don’t get off and do something else. Don’t waste your time.
wowie... making lvl11 twink to solo carry any TW dungeon takes 30mins - the scaling is so off that you can be doing x20 damage of lvl80 634ilvl character
some say wow's in a great spot others say it's horrid...me personally its a hit and miss for both cata classic, SoD, Classic Classic and TWW...i'm just ready to relive mop and put the game down for good the moment MoP classic ends...and wish happiness for all players who still play this old af game xD
edit: the reason it's a miss for me is because I'm tired of how serious people take the game now and blizzards way to dang slow for how big they are to react on fixing things...and balancing around the 1% for MDI, Arena World Cup, Raid World 1st etc and healers are in a bad state OP in pvp but lacking in pve...especially in a fun factor.
u should never kick any1 from time walking dungeons lmao. unless afk too long. but other than that every1 tryna lvl or just gear up their alts
Only group with friends
sometimes it be like that
true, it do be like that sometimes
I question blizzard doing this on purpose so get away ogga boga we actually have to think by doing maybe down line make dungeon raids more harder. So in long win win in there eyes. I like think this then testing retail players maybe actually communicate even just text chat
11head strategy
Why remove yourself when you can ruin the fun for others? Eye for an eye is the cornerstone of the justice system.
An eye for an eye leaves the whole world looking like illidan lol
@@ShawnSetGO you say that like it's a bad thing!
We're already there. No one wants to engage in discourse and would rather hit a button to ignore others exist. Societal erosion. :(
There so many shit tanking when tanks die and wipe, but when dps dies that’s another story, we don’t talk about the standing in the fire.
The guy who initiated the votekick missclicked the tank guy instead of the healer guy, and as usual people just hit Yes without checking. Why are you dissecting this so hard?
Cause it funny
Aren't we all?
No
Half of that is on the tank using their defensives
You are part of the problem
@@dragonriderabens9761 if that were the case OP wouldn't have made a funny screenshot, he would have uploaded logs
The more greedy the pull the better, I blame the healer not the tank.
players are getting smarter in a creative way 🥸
