I just finished punching this giant stack of cardboard. I started at the beginning of the video, and I finished at the 1 hour 14 minute. That was a chore! Thanks for keeping informed and entertained during the work. 😂
Holy shit! That big plan camera with a green screen superposed to the table is brilliant! No more "wait for it to come into focus" nonsense. Great idea there.
I'm really looking forward to getting my copy. You see a lot of comparisons to Mage Knight, for obvious reasons, but while the games share a lot of similarities in terms of theme and actions, the "feel" of the games are very different. Euthia appears to be much more relaxed. It's not nearly the puzzle that MK is. It doesn't have the same satisfaction associated with solving a difficult puzzle each turn and exchanges that with the satisfaction of just participating in a progression of revealing things, upgrading things, hoping something happens, rolling with the punches etc. Not to say there aren't decisions to be made in Euthia, clearly there are, but they aren't at the same difficulty (if that's the right word) as they are in MK. In MK there always feels like there is a calculable "optimum" way to perform your turn. In Euthia there are better and worse, for sure, but "optimum" isn't really quite the same thing. I'm just sometimes looking forward to something a bit less taxing than MK for my Saturday afternoon adventure.
Looks like such a great game. I was really close to backing this one, I currently dont have the time to fit it in with the other games that I want to play. And I would essentially be playing it solo all of the time. Thanks for the video so I can live vicariously through others :D.
Thanks for this! I've just started playing Euthia and very helpful, as always. It would be fun to see a 3-4 player playthrough at some point; I imagine that will be a bit different experience to solo. I'm also really interested to hear your take on this vs MageKnight. They look similar on the surface but are really so different once you get beyond "powerful heroes exploring a randomly generated world with character progression".
I had to follow the first 100 minutes of this play with the sound off, using subtitles and missing your distinctive voice. Even that way: an excellent way to leant the game play. Thanks! - toby
(I know this is a 2-year old video, but the current KS had me looking back) 48:10 this is humorous as per the character art, you are wearing rather free-flowing clothing...plus a helmet.
If you had used your earth essence correctly during the round 8 fight and then the air essence at the beginning of the round 9 battle, you would almost certainly have won this without either dying or needing to draw a level 2 elite monster. Otherwise, it's a great playthrough. I'll check out more of your content.
47:50 you should tap the merchant tile to indicate that you can't use this anymore for the current round. So later when you talk about cycling the trade offer twice you wouldn't have this option available.
For scenario scoring, shouldn't you get 14 reputation for getting rid of 21 power? (otherwise the card makes no sense as why would you get more rep for more end power?) (2:37:36)
I have watched a few solo playthroughs of this and i love it and want it. I would just like to see someone do a video where they actually show how combat works in a multiplayer game. I would be playing this with 2 players occasionally and i'm curious how that goes.
There were some copies left, which they sold in their store, but I think they are all gone. But there will be another kickstarter, so if you are willing to wait, you might get it for a decent price (if you can wait so long)
Paul, nice gameplay, thanks!!! I have a question about your, lets say, green background :) Is it some kind of a playmat or a blanket or any other different material??
At the Church, you can buy Potions, and I think Gold cards count as 1 Gold whenever you need them. I'm not 100% sure, but let me know if you know different. I'm not sure what you mean about the other dwarf question. You are allowed to complete both of them if you can, but I couldn't do the second one.
If you go to BGG under the files section for Euthia there's a custom scenario template someone has made (not official) where you can make your own scenarios. So it's certainly possible if you want to.
Was enjoying this until combat. Too convoluted and slow for me. Would’ve been happy with just die roll “to hit” target number with modifiers just to speed up combat. I was hoping this would’ve been a better option than Mage Knight. Maybe not.

Remember: 4 silver cards get exchanged for 1 gold card immediately, hence enemy could never play 4 silver in 1 go.
Really good playthrough. Perfect to watch lying in bed sick with a cold. Made me interested of getting the game.
Wow, what a game and what a great play-through by Paul!!!
Just got my copy and I'm super excited to play this. This video helped me out a lot! Thank you for all your content!
That was an amazing playthrough, thanks!! Best I have seen so far of this game 👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video, Paul! Instructive and funny, as always!
No better way to spend hungover sunday. Awesome playthrough, very clear commentation
I've got you on my playlist! I'm really looking forward to your clarity about this game. (I'm waiting for my USA copy.) - toby

Why does it feel so similar to MK?

Man seeing this makes the news hit even harder now.
Can’t wait to get my own copy looks amazing game thanks great play through 😊
Great job as usual Paul!

My takeaway from the 35:52 mark: if you are a superhero, you don't get reputation for killing Bats. ;)
47:50 you should tap the merchant tile to indicate that you can't use this anymore for the current round. So later when you talk about cycling the trade offer twice you wouldn't have this option available.
good spot. Thanks for that. Good to know.
Wow, great game and exciting conclusion. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I am wondering do you get a little feel of "Mage Knight" influence here? Love " Mage Knight ". So very Glade I got this when too!

That card that tells you when and how you reduce the golem corruption thing had an asterisk saying not in solo/co-op mode. What is that about???
Paul, nice gameplay, thanks!!!
I have a question about your, lets say, green background :) Is it some kind of a playmat or a blanket or any other different material??
It's a neoprene mat from Game Toppers
Thank you :)
Thanks!
Awesome!!! Thanks for this!
At 51:14 you can equip the dart? Or you must be in the market?
2:09:00 I think you can not trade in the church only markets with gold cards? 2:31:30 Can you do another dwarf quest?

The scorpion didn't die at 1:38, because you rolled the purple dice to attack, instead of the yellow dice! 😛
yep!
Boredom counters in Dinosaur World are smaller....
This is the 2nd playthrough I’ve seen and it seems there is never enough money
money is tight :)
need to get this.. really nice game! ;)
Diea means 2h40 min per player in stead of 40 😂
Is this for sale in the U.S.
There will be another KS next year.
@@GamingRulesVideos Bet there wont
@@thelastmotel bet there will be😝
@@thelastmotel You lose.
This game looks really good, an open world feel. Is there an option to play it without having a specific scenario?
nope. You always need to play one of the chosen scenarios.
@@GamingRulesVideos thanks paul, I must not have been following you when you made this video. Glad I found it as it helps me decide.

At 2:00:00 you should have given yourself three points because you killed the elite
You catch it five mins later. Haha, that’s what I get for commenting too soon

Maybe it's slow, but it's not that convoluted imo, it's flows quite well once you've done it a few times.
This game is way too complex to be fun.
