Me Too. Would be Nice to see Neo as a New Person. a Good Person. A Hero. Now that she's Relized Ruby did not Kill Roman and ALso ALL this time, Neo was Seeking Revenge and She was Not only seeking it against the Wrong person But also was Just Draining her Own Life To Nothing. Im happy Neo finally was able to Let Go and Now she's Ready to Start ALL Over again.
You know. I had a theory that neo' ascension will be either a decision between being trivia and being neo (comepletly) or a choosing to be someone distant from being neo or trivia and that her hair colour would represent that. If she chooses to be trivia she will have her hair brown and if she chooses to be comepletly neopolitan, she will have her hair comepletly pink. But is she wants to be someone comepletly to those two, she will have a comepletly different hair colour
Dude what if she got bright orange hair like Roman? He meant so much to her, maybe that would get incorporated into her ascended self like Roman's hat was when Neo restyled her outfit.
At least the real Roman is waiting for her in the afterlife like Oz had for Salem. When Neo eventually dies either from age or the final battle, she will discover her soul mate again. Would be nice to have what He had, what She had.
"To have what they have." Considering the tree's power, she just might. There was a wild ass theory that Ruby was gonna become her own mother for a minute. I didn't buy into that one, but all things considered, it is entirely possible that Neo was reborn as Ruby.(of course, I highly doubt we're gonna get a canonical answer)
just plain weird that this psycho ass character gets a weirdly hopeful and emotional sendoff. You know damn well tyrian ain't getting nothing like this.
@@hipsterwriter Does that really justify the dark path she went down? It's no different from Cinder's backstory. Neo chose to do bad things and hurt and kill other people. She's no different than Cinder.
I MUST TRULY confess I really did HATE Neo... As in, Its SO MESSED UP How she seems to ALWAYS blame Ruby for Roman's Death when it was CinderFall who Killed, or at least Played a Part in Killing Roman and Yet, Neo blames Ruby instead of CinderFall... Also what she did to Ruby and Little was PLAIN DAMN MESSED UP and Sick... But however, I sorta Give her Positive Point's For the Ending. Where she realized Finally Ruby did Not have ANYTHING to do with Roman's death and also, ALL Neo was so deeply focused on was revenge and It was sucking up and Draining her Life... She was Throwing her Life away and she finally realized that... So I am happy she was finally able to let it ALL Go 1nce and For all. Also, I was Kinda Amazed how Neo chose to Ascend... As she Not only finally has moved on, she wants to Make a New Life for herself and Start Anew and Be a Better Person... I REALLY DO Hope she returns in VOL-10 as a New Her and She's now Got a FAR BETTER Life to Live. Maybe even She will be a Huntress.
The only reason I give her a pass for hating Ruby is because of how Roman's death was framed in Volume 3. All Neo knew was that she and Roman were fighting "Little Red" on top of that ship, Ruby tricked Neo and sent her flying, leaving Roman and Ruby alone, and then when the dust settled Roman was gone and Ruby was still alive. I would've assumed she killed him too. But I do like how she had a vendetta against Cinder AND Ruby, as you can clearly see in Volume 6, she tried to take Cinder out but stopped when she saw her magical abilities. 9/10 Cinder spewed some dreck about Roman's death being nothing but Ruby's fault, Neo, bought it, and then Volumes 7-9 happened. I'm glad she got her rest though, and a form of goodbye with "Roman". Hopefully she'll be at peace now and reside in the Ever After, or come back to Remnant. Maybe with a voice this time 😏
@@l0rdapophis I SO do Agree... And Yes. I Also would Love for Neo to have a Voice... and I do Hope she Will Return as a New Her, a Truly Good Her. and Yer DAMN right. The Whole Time CinderFall was Damn manipulating Neo and Neo was damn stupid enough to buy it... But I'm Happy Neo learned the Error's of her Ways and She Made Peace with Ruby and the other's, Like when she Did that curtsy and She was able to Accept all that Happened and Let Go and Move on. Besides, If Ruby even did Kill Roman, Like In self-Defense or something, Neo wanting revenger is not gonna Bring him Back anyway. Neo was Not the MOST evil of Villain's of RWBY, Neo was some1 who Was FAR TOO Overwhelmed By Sadness and Grief and She Was SO Crushed and Depressed she Let herself be Manipulated By a FAR More Evil Villain... Neo I Guess you can, Lost her Way as she was Too Focused on how she Lost a Loved 1 and she should have made Better choices But she did not as she Let her Anger make the choices for Her. But I'm TRULY DARN Happy in the End She was able to finally Not Make choices Based on Sadness and anger, But on common sense and Truth and Humanity.
@@l0rdapophis I personally want Neo to be the new main Villainess of RWBY! Because as much as I Hate how irredeemably pure evil her character has become, she is still worthy of Respect!
More than likely sometime right after Beacon fell. I'd say while Ruby was still unconscious after using her Silver Eyes for the first time or during the time it took for RNJR to plan their journey. She isn't exactly patient 🤣
Well the ship that they were on did crash, so she must have seen that while or after floating through the air. I'm also betting that Neo sorted through the wreckage since she got a hold of Roman's scarf and hat. Roman's signature bowler hat was also something she made and gifted to him, as mentioned from the book Roman Holiday by E.C. Myers. So I doubt there could be spare duplicates of it. (This also sadly makes me think that she found his body when she retrieved his belongings from the wreckage.)
Slight issue with finding his body, though: He was eaten by a Griffin, remember? Probably, not much of a body to find. More likely, she found out through the news or similar while in Mistral, or en-route there, assuming she didn't float all the way there. As for the hat and scarf, it's possible that either she made a second hat in memory of Roman, or it's made with her semblance.
Honestly I don’t really like Neo’s send off. It’s presented as a peaceful moment of redemption even though she absolutely doesn’t deserve it. I mean come on, this is the same girl that tried to murder several teenagers (and one preteeen) with a cruel smile on her face the whole time, and just two episodes prior also *physically and mentally tormented a girl into committing suicide* without any remorse. And before you say anything about her “but she did show remorse after killing her”, no, she did not. It’s even spelled out that her reaction is NOT “I just made a teenage girl commit suicide… what is wrong with me?!” its more “There, I killed her… now what?” Her remorse is the fact that she herself has nothing left to live for, not that Ruby is dead.
At this point it's endgame. Nine times outta ten, Volume 10 will be the last volume so it's really about tying up loose ends. I mean look how quick they redeemed Emerald in Volume 8. In that exact same volume she literally tried to help Cinder kill Penny and not even two episodes later was trying to save her from Watts' virus and even gave a big hero speech. A literal enemy since the moment she came onscreen redeemed in less than half a season. If she gets it, Neo DEFINITELY gets it. Also, never forget that there were no plans for her to return to begin with. It was fanservice and nothing more. Personally, I'm just glad the whole Neo/Roman arc is finally over and done with, cuz now we can focus on the Queen of Edge and her master like we should've been from the start
it is not her redemption yet, it is just that after she tought she had her revenge against ruby she has seen how hollow she was, that even then she didn't have a motive to fight anymore and for better or for worse she will change now, it dosn't change a thing she accepted that by herself, it dosn't change how bad she was, but the way she was there was no way forward besides living with anger, doing that to her in the story just means they don't have to make team rwby kill her for good so she never comes back to revenge and also they can bring the character back if the story calls for it, not that she now is redeemed, to do that she actually has tu turn a new leave and a good one at that and actually do something good or pay for her crimes, but the entire thing does open the doors for it to happen.
@@gab4198 Yeah theres a term for that. Its called 'Plot Armor'. Kinda like how the Ever After for some reason made her powers extremely stronger for no apparent reason? She's done nothing to deserve or even be on the road to redemption considering she did way worse than making Ruby commit suicide. Are we just gonna forget all the people she killed just to get to Ruby?
I wouldn't call it redemption, but rather closure. She finally moved on from Roman and chose to ascend. The only one who seemed to care was Ruby because she also ascended and had to find herself, but she didn't forgive Neo and no one else did either. For the little time CRWBY had, I think they did Neo's send off nearly perfectly.
She isn’t redeemed here. She decides to stop being a dick to them but it doesn’t really mean much else has changed. Since the Fall of Beacon she’s been driven but nothing but killing Ruby. As we saw, with out that, she’s kind of a shell of a person, so she can’t really go back anyway. She’s not redeemed, just slightly less awful.
Perhaps rwby should add huntress or huntsmen with Kusaka Masato's mindset which goal like team rwby but choosing the dark path for fight against Salem's army or Grimm not even Beacon
@@Neopoiitancx I've been looking for it too among some of Neo's other scenes and there's seemingly nothing in the soundtrack for most of her scenes. Nothing for her destroying the Jabberwalker, revealing herself near the end of episode 7, Roman and Ruby's talk before the tea fight, or her ascension.
So that's it? This psycho-ass character gets all her crimes abolished and she gets to come back as a new person while Ironwood gets a whole city dropped on him?! And you bet your sweet ass that the writers will bend over to try and make mass murderers Salem and Cinder as sympathetic as possible. If Neo can be redeemed surely Cinder and Salem will be!
You know if you think about it, ascending is actually kind of worse. Just like she wanted Ruby to do, she's chosen to erase herself from existence. Neo/Trivia would LITERALLY, for all intents and purposes, would be dead. Like this isn't the amnesia type of deal where they become a better person because they don't know who they are, she's essentially taking her own life, and an entirely new person will be born after. It's sad in way because it feels like she sees no point in life without Roman, and that redemption is so far out of reach that she'd rather just not exist
By that logic, Penny and Pyrrha must have been horrible villains the writers hated to die the way they did. Also the writers showed far more sympathy to Ironwood than they ever did to Neo. Ironwood gets a whole eight volume arc of him slowly and tragically descending into villainy, while Neo's whole screentime is her losing what she loves, failing so hard at revenge she actually helps the people she's trying to kill (Cinder and Ruby), and becoming an empty shell.
There's no abolishment here. The crushing realization that the only person that can make you happy isn't real? That's some next grade punishment right there.
@@nomisunrider6472 The writers hate good writing. Also what sympathy? Killing Jacques for no reason? Shooting Oscar? Killing a councilman? Shooting down ships? Miles & Kerry desperately want you to hate Ironwood because Military Man = Evil Dictator But will reach to the ends of the earth to make you feel bad for murders like Neo & Cinder and don’t forget Emerald who didn’t kill anyone but took part in murders and the fall of beacon FFS during Cinder’s back story the V8 commentary said they want you to emphasize with her, they’ll make excuses for Cinder, Emerald, and Neo doing bad shit but not Ironwood.

Neo and I are really the same in a odd way
It's the same for me with him and his role as Macaque

Ugh this made my heart hurt… Neo is one of my favorite characters and I love the dynamic between Neo and Torchwick 😭
Neo Politan and Emerald Sustrai are both my favorite waifu villains.💖💚
I really hope that neo returns
Me too, with how popular she is I think we will see her again
I am really hoping that NEO returns and team's up with them(TEAM RWBY) hshsh
Is it weird that this is the onlybrwby scene that's ever made me cry

@@lovelyrodriguez2190 that is actually not a bad idea
At least the real Roman is waiting for her in the afterlife like Oz had for Salem. When Neo eventually dies either from age or the final battle, she will discover her soul mate again.
Would be nice to have what He had, what She had.
I love you neo u be back someday standard by Ruby help her beat cinders
DON'T LEAVE ME NO!!!!!!
I'll miss them dearly. Hope her story isn't over. Cinder still has to pay.
Well time to Berserk, I need blood and guts to replace my sorrows.
If anyone gets to deal the finishing blow to Cinder at this point, it's likely going to be Ruby.
@@c0mf0rta61ynum6 good song that is.
Frankly, I'm just glad she wasn't killed off. But it does feel a little unpleasant seeing her float down into the darkness like that.
Yeah she’s coming back.
Ok. I like the Blondie reference.
I hope she comes back someday, as someone good
Or a little bit of both god and evil, like Roman.
I'm telling ya she will be back by either Vol 10 or 11.
poor neo.............😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
just plain weird that this psycho ass character gets a weirdly hopeful and emotional sendoff. You know damn well tyrian ain't getting nothing like this.
True but Tyrian is way more wacky. And I love him for it. I miss Watts he was fun
If you read her backstory of novel she has hard life
@@hipsterwriter Does that really justify the dark path she went down? It's no different from Cinder's backstory. Neo chose to do bad things and hurt and kill other people. She's no different than Cinder.
The writers are dickless cowards when it comes to killing off any antagonistic characters sadly.
Neo-darling... 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
@@shawnwarrynn8609She could be the villain that Roman was for the first 3 seasons. She has the style for it.
When did Neo exactly find out that Toechwick was dead?
More than likely sometime right after Beacon fell. I'd say while Ruby was still unconscious after using her Silver Eyes for the first time or during the time it took for RNJR to plan their journey. She isn't exactly patient 🤣
She probably found out when he never came back cause know toechwich and Neo relationship I think they never leave each other side
I think Volume 9 is the end of Neo’s story and it does have a bittersweet ending to it.
So bitter sweet, as much of a pain as shes been for everyone its hard not to empathize with her...
It's actually easy to not feel pity for considering she doesn't deserve it.
NEO NOOOOOOOOOOOO
I think the next time we see her she can be able to speak
She’s not redeemed, just slightly less awful.
what if neo choose penny or summer rose?
This is sad….
Perhaps rwby should add huntress or huntsmen with Kusaka Masato's mindset which goal like team rwby but choosing the dark path for fight against Salem's army or Grimm not even Beacon

Kinda late, but were you able to find it? This BG has been living rent-free in my brain for months now lol
Personally I'd rather Neo continued on living and got revenge on Cinder. Instead she essentially committed suicide
Miles & Kerry desperately want you to hate Ironwood because Military Man = Evil Dictator
But will reach to the ends of the earth to make you feel bad for murders like Neo & Cinder and don’t forget Emerald who didn’t kill anyone but took part in murders and the fall of beacon
FFS during Cinder’s back story the V8 commentary said they want you to emphasize with her, they’ll make excuses for Cinder, Emerald, and Neo doing bad shit but not Ironwood.
Horrible forma de deshacerse de una antagonista la verdad xd
