Exactly. I really loved seeing how everything has come full circle. The five of them were the first students of Beacon we encountered back in the first few chapters of Volume 1, and they've been through so much together. Despite the fact that they were not all on good terms with each other initially, seeing them all stand united together for those last few seconds was really touching.
I think the biggest reveal in all of this is that the two dragons, the gods who created Remnant, were NOT the creators of the Ever-After, but rather were the first creations OF the Ever-After
You know, something that not a lot of people seem to notice is the pink crystal on the Blacksmith's workbench. I'm absolutely sure that's supposed to be/represent Neo, and if you look carefully, just as the screen whites out with Ruby returning to Remnant, you can see the Blacksmith reach for it so she can get to work.
I was wondering why there was a random pink crystal at the workbench and after giving a thought you could be right. I do hope we would see her again in the future volume
It makes a lot of sense when you consider that the people of Remnant are kind of a "different material" than Afterans. Especially since all Afterans descend from the tree, therefore their figures are wooden.

I kind of like that Jaune kept a bit of white in his hair now. Makes him look more distinguished! But also shows how much of his maturity and emotional scars will stay with him, but the kind of scars you can show with pride! I also look forward to seeing how much more he's improved as a huntsman, putting years of practical experience back into his younger self!

after seeing Curious cats origin story, I sort of feel bad for how they were eaten alive by its cousin, even if they did deserve it. they only became that way because after being a therapist for everyone in Ever after for so long, feeling abandoned, then betrayed, its not wonder they snapped and became a psychotic monster.

It just goes to show that life anywhere is never simple, even if the rules and roles given are. To live is more than just doing a purpose, or a desire it’s more than that. It stumbling around, taking a hit, having disagreements, having feelings and hearts broken, telling your feelings, expressing your emotion, being curious about everything, learning anything you can, and build what you believe in, thinking about what’s more around you and thinking about more about yourself. The ever after is not just a world it’s a beginning for all and an ending in a more emotional and fantastic form where the goal is to find who you truly are and what you want to do. I honestly think the blacksmith is a favourite single volume addition, the grateful smile that Ruby gives her before leaving is for me one of the most wholesome moments but also credit to the animators for pulling it off. Maybe a simple smile but says a lot.

I feel like Jaune’s new, whiter hairs mixed with his regular hair color signify that while he’s back to being his younger self… he’s not exactly the same Jaune he used to be. The ending to this season was, in my opinion, the best ending to a season we’ve gotten in far too long. It actually gives some hope for Season 10 despite 9 itself not being exactly the best of the lot.

The way this ends with the instrumental version of "This Will Be The Day"; CRWBY knew. They knew all along that this was most likely the end and they weren't coming back to continue the story.
I feel sorry the god of darkness tbh cause everytime he tried to do something outside of his purpose, the older one would stifle his efforts and basically villainize him. He created the jabberwalker and it was destroyed, on Remnant was abandoned and never had anyone willingly come to him for help and when he did help Salem his brother chastised him for it. Yeah they agreed on rules and he corrected that mistake but I see it like just because he was dark doesn’t mean he was supposed to be evil 24/7; his brother destroying everything he made and robbing darkness of his agency.

He wasn’t villanized her at all, the blacksmith made it clear. The jabberwalks exceptionally cruel and brutal, and the older brother believed their creation had disrupted the balance, the younger believed even so they shouldn’t hold its actions against it. It was really just “should we risk letting this continue to disrupt the balance” vs “should we risk it and not hold it against them”. His brother never chastised him for having Salem coming to help him, he called out how Salem tricked him and went to him second. You say the god of creation kept stifling his brother but if I remember, the only times they had conflicts were when he believed a shared creation of theirs ruined balance, when his creations kept destroying the god of creation’s creations, and when the younger brother misunderstood the Salem situation
Jaune basically got a major level up now. Cause he still has those 10+ years of experience he gained from fighting in the Ever After but he has his young body again. Dude is gonna be an absolute beast now. All he needs is to get that sweet hairdo back
Volume 3 was the first major ending which changed the series. Volumes 4 to 6 had endings that were good because they were able to win. Volume 7 is when things started to change again. It ended with the heroes fighting amongst themselves (RWBY and co against Ironwood and his forces) and Salem arriving at Atlas. Volume 8 ended on the most sad, dark and depressing note ever. Atlas fell, Salem got two relics, and many characters died including Penny. But here the heroes found their resolve and strength again and are better and stronger than before and the first thing they see when they get home, is that Vacuo is surrounded by airships ready to take on Salem.
Experience changes people and Jaune has been on the hardest journeys of experience. He isn't that boy who puked up his guts on the airship to Beacon any more.
The brothers seem to be the actual issue, creating things, mistreating them, and then abandoning their creations. They seem to have 0 care for the consequence for the world they are in at the time. I mean, they literally got kicked out of Ever After. The tree was like, Nah im good yall need to exit
Oh they definitely are. But likely won’t be treated as such. They’re simply too powerful to actually oppose. They ended the world with the equivalent of a snap of their fingers lol. They literally have the power to pull souls back from the afterlife.. I don’t see any way for them to be brought down. Best case is ruby makes some cringe speech about how despite the world not being completely unified, it’s a process that likely won’t ever be completed.. but at the same time gradually being better.
Allow me to list the Brothers' greatest blunders on Remnant: 1. They also destroyed every human on Remnant, including the people who didn't partake in Salem's rebellion. 2. They kept destroying and reviving Ozma while arguing about the balance of life and death just like they did to the Jabberwalker, like two kids fighting over a toy they don't want to share. 3. They expected Salem, a woman who spent most of her childhood trapped and isolated in a tower by her cruel, possessive and paranoid father without ever setting foot in the outside to experience life before she was rescued, to understand the difference between life and death ON HER OWN WITHOUT BOTHERING TO JUST SIT DOWN AND TEACH HER. 4. They gave Ozma the impossible task of uniting the world against an immortal foe (Salem) to get humanity back in their good graces and will destroy the planet if Salem wins. 5. They cursed Salem for not only attempting to break the balance of life and death but for making fools of them with her "mom said/dad said" trick. The Brothers are nothing more than two kids playing with their toys in a sandbox.
Jaune hasn't been on his home planet for decades, caught me off guard when I saw him wipe away a tear. For Team RWBY it was only a moment, but for him it's been a lifetime
All those ships in the sky, Amity now a capital ship. Penny carried a message to the stars. And it worked. After all that has happened. There is still hope.
It also proved Ironwood was wrong. Ruby did something he was willing to abandon just to keep one city safe. Ruby warned the world and they are ready for anything
Feels the same when Poe and his attack crew on Exegol had nearly lost to Palpatines Final Order fleet if it wasn't for Lando rallying every single Rebel Alliance, New Republic, and Resistance spacecraft for a reinforcement number massive enough to make any fan tear up from the fleet size 😰😎🗿🍷
There is still hope! (That's supposed to be sarcastic if no one got it) .... But unless they find a way to permanently stop Salem, that hope will be extinguished because they are up against an unrelenting and never ending army and an unkillable being. Their best option is the Relic of Destruction to push back Salem.
Either that, or when they saw that Atalas has fallen, after Beacon, realised something was seriously off and decided to put their collective asses on gear
I would think that the headmaster of Vacuo would realize that with Beacon, Atlas and Mantle's fall and probably learning that Mistral is pretty much lost as well, they are next. I believe it had nothing to do with Ruby's message and more that we are all that stands between Remnant surviving or being destroyed.
I read somewhere that someone was supposed to be there as they came through and there was supposed to be a memorial for them right where they came out but I don’t see it

The only thing that I missed regarding Jaune was his extra armours and the helmet he left behind. It looks cooler if it's not rusted. Also, about his sword, is the blade restored, or is it still broken? I'll be pissed if it's still broken after meeting that blacksmith.
I'm happy we got some major character growth for Jaune this season. I can't wait to see how this growth affects his efforts as a leader and a huntsman.
Ruby also learned the value of self-love and now has a greater understanding of balance so she will most likely be able to use her silver eyes better than ever before
I know it probably won't happen, but after ending on that comment of, "When they are needed most," it'd be really cool if they did just an episode or two of the Nora, Ren, and whoever else was able to make the trip getting there and then things taking a turn for the worst... only to have these three come busting through the chaos of all the Grimm. But in reality, it'll probably just be them getting there a little bit before everything starts hitting the fan.
What I love the most of that very end scene of them in the desert, standing together and seeing Vacuo prepared for their moment is that it is for once a heartwarming ending no post-credit cliffhanger, just- raw happy ending for the season it wrapped

It looks like it was made by both brothers. From what i know, grimm were made by the dark one without the light one. So it may be more powerful than any grimm
The First Reaper. Intelligent, brutal, yet shunned. The god of Darkness didn't see it as a bad first draft, he wanted to improve on the design. And he did.
This was a quiet way to end a season whose major theme was despair and struggling to understand that sometimes who you are is simply enough. I liked it. And the revelation of the Brothers' true origin story was a humbling one, as it places the two gods onto the same level as their creations.
Rusted armor is equipment that can fail. Not the smartest or wisest thing to wear in a fight. Gear that doesn't do what it's supposed to is a liability to your safety.

It's so sad seeing how little showed so much care for ruby even after being told that it was dangerous to be around ruby. And now Somewhat is now going to protect Jnpr and have Adventures in the Everafter to find their purpose😭😭😭
That whole rejuvenation scene just jumpstarted White Knight, and hope RT makes more White Knight moments, since Vol 9 already let the bumbleby fanservice go nuts into a high ❄🔶🗿🍷

What a surprising way to cap off Volume 9: Ruby getting her spark back, Raven's reappearance, Neo choosing to change herself, the origin of the Gods, Jaune regaining his youth and Vacuo getting the much-needed back-up thanks to Ruby inspiring the world. Volume 10, here we come! I sure hope there's no timeskip.
The fact that Vacuo is protected by a lot of airships proves Ironwood was wrong. Ruby wanted to get the message out but Ironwood chose to abandon everything he worked for just to keep one city safe. Ruby really is a hero
I still have so many questions when they go back to the fight, how long were they gone?, Did everyone age? Is Jaune really back to his original age, how much has happened when they disappeared?
This has been such a strange volume but the lows weren't nearly as low as some previous volumes and highs were amazing. This conclusion and literally everything done in the latter half of the volume was mmmmwah
They need to continue having longer hiatuses. I know waiting sucks but look at what we got! RWBY, as a show has never had such a satisfying ending for a volume even during the Beacon arc! 😊
@skrrt skrrt Fr the quality and effective handling of such dark subject matter...I can't lie. I'm shocked with how well this turned out! I think they'll need less time for the following volumes to match this quality. They were juggling _a lot_ of projects/issues between V8 and V9. I wouldn't be shocked if it premiered far sooner than V9 while succeeding it's quality. The way they handled things here gave me so much hope for how they'll resolve the extremely heavy issues and character arcs they've set up previously.

This scene confirms I was right all along. What they needed most before going back to Remnant wasn't new strength or some grand power. It was a different perspective. Despite everything they came to learn of the origins of remnant and the mystical wonder that came with it, they we're still so blind, distracted what was still on the surface of everything. It's not a definite answer to beating Salem, but this is one hell of a step in the right direction.

The staff can only do so much, we still have no idea where the hell crown is, which only leaves the sword, which is still in the vault, along with who ever the hell the summer maiden is still alive. Now, I'm curious on if Neo will choose to rebuild herself. It's a scary thought not knowing if your favorite character will ever come back. It really is. However, I hope Neo finds her happiness and learns to move on. I hope she'll return one day after healing. The cat said she couldn't return because she has nothing to return to, but I hope the journey she goes on will change that. She'll find something to return to

I really hope volume 10/11 is the finale of the salem story. As it stands right now, the world has been called into action, and Salem will be coming soon. Ruby knows what she's meant to be now, and it's now time to push back.

" "oh me I've found that Lewis lives here in vacuo and I talk to him sometimes about the ever after
I'm not sure if Lewis would still be alive as the fairy tale he wrote is implied to be a childhood favorite for several generations. But if he is he's probably really old and if not then he met his sister in the afterlife which we know exists.
Some people hate how the writers de-aged Jaune back, but nobody points to the parallel it has to Link in Ocarina of Time where he becomes Young Link again, but endowed with the knowledge and skills acquired of being adult Link.
an adventure of team RWBY in a far land of discovery, thats all that we fans were looking for since volume 1, not all the convoluted plot that took place over the years.
I feel like the REAL conflict of the story is not RWBY vs. Salem, but really RWBY vs. the Brothers. Almost all of the conflicts are due to the Brothers, from the creation of the Grimm to the callous treatment of Salem. So, the door being "open for the Brothers' return" at 5:00 seem very important.
7:27 What's next for Team RWBY and Jaune since they're here in Vacuo, only other things to do, find and rescue the Summer Maiden, and retrieve the Sword of Destruction, one of the Relics. And the Crown of Choice, its whereabouts are somewhere in Beacon, and/or at least unknown, we'll find out for answers, sooner or later. And now, the final mission is to defeat Salem, and all of Remnant will be restored.
I know it’s pretty nuance here with the tree and the Blacksmith, but I can’t help but find it funny that Team RWBY and Jaune practically met the brothers’ mama. 😁
Its also likely the last scene for a RWBY product *period* would be the final shot in JLxRWBY Part 2. Which, is just the Justice League standing over a view of the city.

I know that after all the mistakes that rooster teeth made, many are still upset with them, but I don't think that we shouldn't recognize the great job they did in this volume, it's perfect?, no, it's almost perfect?, not really, but it was a very good and beautiful story they told, I hope they can continue like this in volume 10, I'm looking forward to it.
Optimism is appreciated, but given the many misses, both in and out of the IPs, unless they end with an absolute banger, i dont think many will be hopeful.

Idk if they can. I mean this entire season was built up for ruby to find out her mom wasn't perfect? That she just needs to be herself? Thats...that's a complete cop put. Of course her mom wasn't perfect! And be yourself? That's the same message we've been told over and over and over again. From Weiss, to yang, to even penny. I mean hell even jaunes ascension was a cop out 'you're not the hero, but you can be?' How about 'being a hero isn't about saving everyone infront of you?' Or 'being a hero means helping who you can. Or being a shoulder to cry on' etc. I just...I just can't anymore. This kind of writing is ok in a young adult novel but we're adults now. Finding out your parents weren't perfect is something that coukd be explored in season 3 or 4. Not season 9 when we're close to the end.
When the blacksmith said "when youre needed most" totally thought they were gonna get sent back to the time purah was fighting cinder so they can save her

I don't like how they did Jaune's de-aging. I understand that they had to return him to his age before he went back in time, but Jaune clearly grew, and adapted in the Ever After. Jaune's armor didn't change on it's own, he was clearly making upgrades as he fought in the Ever After. He should have kept those upgrades, and armor, to signify his growth. He clearly now has 20+ years experience on everyone else, and the armor was the perfect signifier for that. (I also think he should have kept his long hair. His short hair always looked stupid, imo)
Watch that experience meaning nothing in future seasons. They will just nerf him back to how he was pre season. Feels like this whole season was filler with nothing of value. Everything returned to status quo in the end.

I think the biggest reveal in all of this is that the two dragons, the gods who created Remnant, were NOT the creators of the Ever-After, but rather were the first creations OF the Ever-After

You know, something that not a lot of people seem to notice is the pink crystal on the Blacksmith's workbench. I'm absolutely sure that's supposed to be/represent Neo, and if you look carefully, just as the screen whites out with Ruby returning to Remnant, you can see the Blacksmith reach for it so she can get to work.
I was wondering why there was a random pink crystal at the workbench and after giving a thought you could be right. I do hope we would see her again in the future volume

I kind of like that Jaune kept a bit of white in his hair now. Makes him look more distinguished! But also shows how much of his maturity and emotional scars will stay with him, but the kind of scars you can show with pride! I also look forward to seeing how much more he's improved as a huntsman, putting years of practical experience back into his younger self!

after seeing Curious cats origin story, I sort of feel bad for how they were eaten alive by its cousin, even if they did deserve it. they only became that way because after being a therapist for everyone in Ever after for so long, feeling abandoned, then betrayed, its not wonder they snapped and became a psychotic monster.

It stumbling around, taking a hit, having disagreements, having feelings and hearts broken, telling your feelings, expressing your emotion, being curious about everything, learning anything you can, and build what you believe in, thinking about what’s more around you and thinking about more about yourself. The ever after is not just a world it’s a beginning for all and an ending in a more emotional and fantastic form where the goal is to find who you truly are and what you want to do. I honestly think the blacksmith is a favourite single volume addition, the grateful smile that Ruby gives her before leaving is for me one of the most wholesome moments but also credit to the animators for pulling it off. Maybe a simple smile but says a lot.

I feel like Jaune’s new, whiter hairs mixed with his regular hair color signify that while he’s back to being his younger self… he’s not exactly the same Jaune he used to be.
The ending to this season was, in my opinion, the best ending to a season we’ve gotten in far too long. It actually gives some hope for Season 10 despite 9 itself not being exactly the best of the lot.

He wasn’t villanized her at all, the blacksmith made it clear. The jabberwalks exceptionally cruel and brutal, and the older brother believed their creation had disrupted the balance, the younger believed even so they shouldn’t hold its actions against it.
It was really just “should we risk letting this continue to disrupt the balance” vs “should we risk it and not hold it against them”.
His brother never chastised him for having Salem coming to help him, he called out how Salem tricked him and went to him second.
You say the god of creation kept stifling his brother but if I remember, the only times they had conflicts were when he believed a shared creation of theirs ruined balance, when his creations kept destroying the god of creation’s creations, and when the younger brother misunderstood the Salem situation

Volume 3 was the first major ending which changed the series. Volumes 4 to 6 had endings that were good because they were able to win. Volume 7 is when things started to change again. It ended with the heroes fighting amongst themselves (RWBY and co against Ironwood and his forces) and Salem arriving at Atlas. Volume 8 ended on the most sad, dark and depressing note ever. Atlas fell, Salem got two relics, and many characters died including Penny. But here the heroes found their resolve and strength again and are better and stronger than before and the first thing they see when they get home, is that Vacuo is surrounded by airships ready to take on Salem.
After the last few seasons it fills good to have a happy ending for once

Experience changes people and Jaune has been on the hardest journeys of experience. He isn't that boy who puked up his guts on the airship to Beacon any more.
The brothers seem to be the actual issue, creating things, mistreating them, and then abandoning their creations. They seem to have 0 care for the consequence for the world they are in at the time. I mean, they literally got kicked out of Ever After. The tree was like, Nah im good yall need to exit
Oh they definitely are. But likely won’t be treated as such. They’re simply too powerful to actually oppose. They ended the world with the equivalent of a snap of their fingers lol. They literally have the power to pull souls back from the afterlife.. I don’t see any way for them to be brought down.
Best case is ruby makes some cringe speech about how despite the world not being completely unified, it’s a process that likely won’t ever be completed.. but at the same time gradually being better.
Allow me to list the Brothers' greatest blunders on Remnant:
1. They also destroyed every human on Remnant, including the people who didn't partake in Salem's rebellion.
2. They kept destroying and reviving Ozma while arguing about the balance of life and death just like they did to the Jabberwalker, like two kids fighting over a toy they don't want to share.
3. They expected Salem, a woman who spent most of her childhood trapped and isolated in a tower by her cruel, possessive and paranoid father without ever setting foot in the outside to experience life before she was rescued, to understand the difference between life and death ON HER OWN WITHOUT BOTHERING TO JUST SIT DOWN AND TEACH HER.
4. They gave Ozma the impossible task of uniting the world against an immortal foe (Salem) to get humanity back in their good graces and will destroy the planet if Salem wins.
5. They cursed Salem for not only attempting to break the balance of life and death but for making fools of them with her "mom said/dad said" trick.
The Brothers are nothing more than two kids playing with their toys in a sandbox.

There is still hope! (That's supposed to be sarcastic if no one got it) .... But unless they find a way to permanently stop Salem, that hope will be extinguished because they are up against an unrelenting and never ending army and an unkillable being. Their best option is the Relic of Destruction to push back Salem.

I know it probably won't happen, but after ending on that comment of, "When they are needed most," it'd be really cool if they did just an episode or two of the Nora, Ren, and whoever else was able to make the trip getting there and then things taking a turn for the worst... only to have these three come busting through the chaos of all the Grimm.
But in reality, it'll probably just be them getting there a little bit before everything starts hitting the fan.
What I love the most of that very end scene of them in the desert, standing together and seeing Vacuo prepared for their moment

This was a quiet way to end a season whose major theme was despair and struggling to understand that sometimes who you are is simply enough. I liked it. And the revelation of the Brothers' true origin story was a humbling one, as it places the two gods onto the same level as their creations.
I really wish Jaune kept his beat up armor, I knew they'd make him young again but his old and rusted armor was such a good look.
I'm thinking he might get more armour in the costume change, along with longer hair. he has learned the value of legit heavy armour
Rusted armor is equipment that can fail. Not the smartest or wisest thing to wear in a fight. Gear that doesn't do what it's supposed to is a liability to your safety.

What a surprising way to cap off Volume 9: Ruby getting her spark back, Raven's reappearance, Neo choosing to change herself, the origin of the Gods, Jaune regaining his youth and Vacuo getting the much-needed back-up thanks to Ruby inspiring the world.

The fact that Vacuo is protected by a lot of airships proves Ironwood was wrong. Ruby wanted to get the message out but Ironwood chose to abandon everything he worked for just to keep one city safe. Ruby really is a hero
I still have so many questions when they go back to the fight, how long were they gone?, Did everyone age? Is Jaune really back to his original age, how much has happened when they disappeared?

This has been such a strange volume but the lows weren't nearly as low as some previous volumes and highs were amazing. This conclusion and literally everything done in the latter half of the volume was mmmmwah
They need to continue having longer hiatuses. I know waiting sucks but look at what we got! RWBY, as a show has never had such a satisfying ending for a volume even during the Beacon arc! 😊
@skrrt skrrt Fr the quality and effective handling of such dark subject matter...I can't lie. I'm shocked with how well this turned out! I think they'll need less time for the following volumes to match this quality. They were juggling _a lot_ of projects/issues between V8 and V9. I wouldn't be shocked if it premiered far sooner than V9 while succeeding it's quality.
The way they handled things here gave me so much hope for how they'll resolve the extremely heavy issues and character arcs they've set up previously.

This scene confirms I was right all along. What they needed most before going back to Remnant wasn't new strength or some grand power. It was a different perspective. Despite everything they came to learn of the origins of remnant and the mystical wonder that came with it, they we're still so blind, distracted what was still on the surface of everything. It's not a definite answer to beating Salem, but this is one hell of a step in the right direction.

They have two different renditions of This Will be the Day playing near the end of this. The part right after the gods, then also right at the very end.
Now, I'm curious on if Neo will choose to rebuild herself. It's a scary thought not knowing if your favorite character will ever come back. It really is. However, I hope Neo finds her happiness and learns to move on. I hope she'll return one day after healing. The cat said she couldn't return because she has nothing to return to, but I hope the journey she goes on will change that. She'll find something to return to

Since Neopolitan helped her former enemies from the Cursid Cat, she could grow attachments to them. Which will make her return to Remnant.

I really hope volume 10/11 is the finale of the salem story. As it stands right now, the world has been called into action, and Salem will be coming soon. Ruby knows what she's meant to be now, and it's now time to push back.

I'm not sure if Lewis would still be alive as the fairy tale he wrote is implied to be a childhood favorite for several generations. But if he is he's probably really old and if not then he met his sister in the afterlife which we know exists.
Some people hate how the writers de-aged Jaune back, but nobody points to the parallel it has to Link in Ocarina of Time where he becomes Young Link again, but endowed with the knowledge and skills acquired of being adult Link.

Almost all of the conflicts are due to the Brothers, from the creation of the Grimm to the callous treatment of Salem. So, the door being "open for the Brothers' return" at 5:00 seem very important.

What's next for Team RWBY and Jaune since they're here in Vacuo, only other things to do, find and rescue the Summer Maiden, and retrieve the Sword of Destruction, one of the Relics.
And the Crown of Choice, its whereabouts are somewhere in Beacon, and/or at least unknown, we'll find out for answers, sooner or later.
And now, the final mission is to defeat Salem, and all of Remnant will be restored.
NGL, the brothers dragons design at 3:15 and so on are straight up plushie material, they are so adorable!

I know that after all the mistakes that rooster teeth made, many are still upset with them, but I don't think that we shouldn't recognize the great job they did in this volume, it's perfect?, no, it's almost perfect?, not really, but it was a very good and beautiful story they told, I hope they can continue like this in volume 10, I'm looking forward to it.
Optimism is appreciated, but given the many misses, both in and out of the IPs, unless they end with an absolute banger, i dont think many will be hopeful.
I honestly just want the show to continue so I can keep on hearing the music and fight scenes the story is okay but even if the plot gets worse it just needs to be exciting

I mean hell even jaunes ascension was a cop out 'you're not the hero, but you can be?' How about 'being a hero isn't about saving everyone infront of you?' Or 'being a hero means helping who you can. Or being a shoulder to cry on' etc.
I just...I just can't anymore. This kind of writing is ok in a young adult novel but we're adults now. Finding out your parents weren't perfect is something that coukd be explored in season 3 or 4. Not season 9 when we're close to the end.

I don't like how they did Jaune's de-aging. I understand that they had to return him to his age before he went back in time, but Jaune clearly grew, and adapted in the Ever After.
Jaune's armor didn't change on it's own, he was clearly making upgrades as he fought in the Ever After.
He should have kept those upgrades, and armor, to signify his growth. He clearly now has 20+ years experience on everyone else, and the armor was the perfect signifier for that.
(I also think he should have kept his long hair. His short hair always looked stupid, imo)
Watch that experience meaning nothing in future seasons. They will just nerf him back to how he was pre season.

@@danilo19d I mean he's write. Jaune has had the most potential out of anyone in rwby. He's shown to be stronger then yang or Nora. His semblance is frankly overpowered. And his swordsmanship has drastically improved in less time then any other hunter we've seen.
But he's constantly pushed back because 'rwby woman power' that rt is famous for at this point. Let's face it. Jaune will never be important to the story. Even his completely justified breakdown after being alone for 20 years was brushed aside by ruby and her little episode
