This is so funny. I didn't know the song when I got to the credits and as soon as the drums set in I thought "damn this sounds an awful lot like Gavin Harrison" and waited the entire credits to confirm my suspicion haha
This game deserves to sell well. Thank you Sam Lake for this amazing piece of adventure.AND HOT DAMM, I hope Jessie will meet Alan in person. A conversation they can have could lead to some really interesting conclusions.
They Did Meet, There Are A Number of Alan Wake Easter Eggs In Control, One of Them Can Be Found On A Whiteboard, It Shows Jesse At A Dinner With A Man, Who From The Back Looks Suspiciously Like Alan, Although If You're Talking About Seeing Them Interacting Actively And Not Just Proof That They Have, Then I Agree Wholeheartedly.
@@LEGO2055 I think letting those two talk might be a little dangerous for the fabric of reality. The last thing we want is to give Alan Wake more story ideas.

I haven't played control, but porcupine tree is awesome and this song is proof of it

Game of at least few last years for me, I think from the gameplay perspective it is best what Remedy ever did. From the story perspective it is increadible feat in terms of connecting it into the same universe with Alan Wake etc.

Finished the game today. Was a surprise that Porcupine Tree was playing in the ending credits. And today Porcupine has announced a new album and a tour. Happy days.
When I finished the game I was like "wtf why the fuck are porcupine tree there?😂😂😂", And I headbanged for 7:23 minutes

Wonderful game. I've been searching for something worth while and I found it. Story, Setting and Characters. My only complaint was how I'd get lost sometimes because of the map.

@@elephantt2077 Didn't Steven Wilson of PT produce an album or two for Opeth? I think he wrote the clean guitar solo parts in The Drapery Falls and also helped arrange the album cus I remember an interview where their lead singer was talking about him helping out with the album.
Finland/Northern Europe is an awesome place for metal in general. Nightwish omg, Floor Jansen, even tho shes ethnically Danish, she's a viking metal goddess! I still listen to their 2013 wacken open air live album. Ghost Love Score alone is worth it. But my favorite song from Nightwish is The Siren. Marco's vocals are so haunting "Who tied my hands to the wheel?"
I like a lot of different types of metal bands from that area of the world as well, like Children of Bodom are another great example of high quality metal - even if you don't like the harsh vocals, the instrumentals are great like on Everytime I Die. * goes to listen to that now lol *

I love how this game tricked us with a false ending. Jesse started chanting...cut to credits and I freaked out. "That can't be the ending...bro wtf?" Then I saw the hiss incantation in the scrolling and it started warping...f--king brilliant on Remedy's part. Absolute troll move and still awesome
Once i finished this game i played it again on ps5 and i loved it more because it was much better than ps4 also this game literally gave me braindamage at the ending just love it

Damn, I listen to them since , like 2000-2004, and playing that game I was going crazy right at the first notes, "wait what ? Porcupine tree in there ?" Just one of my favs album from them, no doubt in my mind, I was nuts.

Parts of the instrumentals remind me of Rage Against the Machine.
They are better as a band IMO, but exist in two totally different genres of rock. prog rock vs rap rock.

Control is physics based and Quantum is time based. Putting those together would probably destroy the universe.

Dude, I have always wondered if "The End of the Times" could be considered an AWE by the FBC with the Countermeasure being the Altered Item/Object of Power 🤔

@@maetheron1160 thats what I thought but The Fracture's creation is more scientific in nature while an AWE is a world changing event that could be the result of Altered items like the typewriter in Alan Wake or the Slide Projector in Ordinary, it also could have been created by the collective unconscious or urban legends as explained by Dr. Darling but this is alot of maybes. The point is that The Fracture has the appearance of an Altered World Event but it most likely isn't one.
Also I'd like to point out if Alan Wake/Control are set in the same universe as Quantum Break then by 2021 which is when Return by Alan Wake is supposed to be set then The End of Time (if not fixed or delayed again) would occur around the same time as the 4th Bright Falls AWE, I dont know what would happen but I can guess that from the perspective of the shifters, Monarch personnel and Jack Joyce that the End of Time would still happen just like Paul Serene saw but to everyone else's perspective like Alan Wake or Jesse Faden (those who are unaffected by chronons) time flows normally meaning that eventually The End of Time does get fixed, its just a matter of how long it Monarch scientist's to fix it, weeks, months, years. If Jack Joyce had put his brother Will to work at Monarch, he knows the fracture, chronon particles and time better and therefore would make the repair of time go much faster especially with all the Monarch laboratories, research and ALL THE GRANT MONEY HE EVER NEEDS!
