    Hi Mike. It really makes me feel part of your journey in the build when you tell us you are implementing our ideas, better still you showing us doing it. This is why we take the time to do so as we want the best for you both. Thankyou.

    Building a bus is a game of 4 dimensional chess with 2 or more dimensions on another planet.
    My bus Changing Stars is coming along but sometimes it is a struggle, there is no way I could build and do youtube on top of it.
    Thanks for sharing

    I am not a regular commentor, but I am a regular viewer. Yes the tedious tasks have to be done and they are hardly ever fun but you have the enjoyment of getting them out of the way and now on to bigger things. Enjoying your build and your skill set. I did wonder about the hose all the way up to the stove connection. Glad you changed it.

    I wish people were a tad more nicer in the comments 😁 I sent another UA-camr your site. He had issues of his sink bubbling up in his shower. He ended up buying 2 of the hep whatever valve (can you tell I'm an expert 😂). I love watching you cause you're honest. You mess up and you admit it. You don't try to hide it.

    Saw a new video was up had to stop what i was doing and watch, that "found" real estate under the bus i was thinking if i ever build a bus i would hang some 8 - 12" x 10' pvc pipes in the in either an over under or side x side manor and used them for extra liquid storage to extend your stay. Seal the ends with end caps and wrap it with 1" foam rubber, just thinking. Might also be a good spot for vegetable fuel cell aka free fuel from restaurants.

    Idea/Suggestion..... The distribution valve at 3:30..... you can plumb abother propane line into the spot where you have it plugged to feed a Propane grill.
    Add a quick connect and you are set.

    Hi Mike, Hi Kerry, hows my favourite two people... Dont get discouraged Mike, and yes there is a lot of work each time you get on the bus, and yes you can reach the light at the end of the tunnel by just throwing it together, but doing it properly like you and Kerry are takes time so just keep going my friend and you will get there.. A great video today Kerry and even better to see you in it and working hard along side Mike, dont let him become discouraged the whole project is coming along real good and all that work under the bus today will pay off in the long run.. Sorry I rambled on but once again great to see you both, hope you both are doing good, take care, love you both...

    Correcting propane regulator upright install ..... back in 2000, living in Utah in 37ft travel trailer with son, we had LOTS of snow, water got into propane regulator, at 3 am we were freezing, later discovered why, but that was when the decision was made to “go Tropical !”. 🎶🎶 “So we loaded up the truck & moved to [the] Keys. Florida Keys that is, palm trees, sunny beaches ..... “ 🎶😆

    since you like suggestions, I would suggest using plastic tie straps for the pool noodles. Using tape will fall off eventually... if you're inclined to using tape I would suggest Gorilla Tape but I think that plastic tie straps would be better

    Mike with as much as you're going under the bus I hope you have 20 ton Jack stands on the front axle at least if not both axles. I know the bus tires are tough but I don't plan to trust my life to them. Safety first! Ain't no coming back from a school bus falling on you.

  • @Tripsolo65

    Hey Mike, I really don't want to see you pick up a battle scar with that propane door flap either. Might I humbley suggest two (too cool) options? Option 1 - Mount a strong magnet on the door that will attach/stick to the bus. Option 2 - Mount one of those old style window locks verticle on the side of the bus so when you close it, it catches the door. I'm just sayin' LOL...

    okay, I have watched so many of your videos and you have far exceeded what I have done to my bus. I just wanted you to be aware of an issue I ran into with the shower. Keep an eye on your shower cause you might get some backfill in your shower when you drain a full sink or when your tank is too full. THANK YOU for all the detail and effort that you put into the videos!

    G’day Mike and Kerry greetings from Tasmania Australia bloody good job Mike I’m glade that you made those changes to the gas set up down here you have to have a licensed installer do it if something happens and there’s no compliance plate your not insured and they will fine you the same for plumbing. Gas’s struts on those doors would be a good fix, your both doing a great job and she’s certainly coming along. I enjoy watching your videos and always look forward to the next one, all the best regards John

    I hate working with that loom. Such a pain to get it over wiring and smaller parts. I especially like the idea of putting rubber hose on the metal strap. Brilliant!
    When you were sliding in under Bussy it made me remember working under busses and trucks on the dirt. My old bosses always used the "fat boy creeper," otherwise known as a big piece of cardboard. Those guys were well above average size. Worked great. Didn't get near as dirty, and it allowed you to slide easier. It also kind of gave a bit of a buffer between you and any rocks that happened to be there.

    Go to RV parts place and you can find small-ish clips to hold the doors up…they work great and don't cost an arm & leg. After you get enough clips, check out a couple of Class-A rigs (with the the compartments around the bottom and see how they are positioned… - - "Scooter" in East Texas

Great job utilizing the pool noodles to protect everything.. that is definitely something I'll use on my conversion when it starts. Mike, about that lower level real estate that is not 'prime', I have calculated that to work in that area you should be about 5'2" and weigh around 120 lbs. Since that does not quite fit you personally, you should find someone who does meet that criteria, and who will work cheap... er, uh - what size is Kelly?

  • @yhnbgt365
    @yhnbgt365 5 років тому

    I seriously doubt the noodle insulation will be very much protection against freezing water hoses. The insulation is minimal and heat will still transfer through it given several hours. The good part is the PEX can withstand freezing because it will expand. What you may find is that the PEX freezes and blocks the flow of water, leaving you flowless.

    • @BussyMcBusface
      @BussyMcBusface  5 років тому

      The idea isn't to prevent freezing because that would be cost prohibitive. It is just to slow it down. It's the same as insulating your pipes outside. Given enough time, the pipes will freeze but if I can slow it down enough to survive a cold night, it's a win.

    Comment Section is not a nice place for fans to kiss your asses.
    I always viewed comments as a section for future viewers. If they are looking for information on how to complete a task they may watch the video and check the top comments and see multiple points of view. Even if I leave a "smartass" comment its not for the creators, its for anyone in the future who might be planning to run propane lines, etc....
    If someone has a better idea it might be useful to some people. You do have a responsibility to your viewers, or show a warning in the intro stating you are not a professional and this is for entertainment only.
