Wouldn't it be nice to find a properly capable compact SUV? A car that could walk the walk as well as talking the talk? A car like this one, Subaru's fourth generation Forester. It was launched in 2013, but the version we're looking at here as a potential used car buy is the improved version of this design, introduced in 2015 with minor styling revisions and much improved interior connectivity.
Everything about this design seems to be nicely balanced, from the shape and positioning of its unique 'Boxer' engines to the shape and positioning of its intended clientele. People who want something fashionable, but don't need to make a fashion statement. People who want something tough and rugged, but don't need to tackle the Rubicon Trail. So the smarter styling inside and out will go down as well as the Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive system and the X-Mode off road technology. It's all been very carefully thought out.

In dept wasn’t a lie or clickbait 👏🏼👏🏽👏🏼👏🏽 the review is as good as the car
I had two Tiguan's and now a Forester. All over 100k miles and the Forester is way ahead on fuel consumption, regularly over 50mpg. Also, try making a "diesel claim" on a Subaru and you'll get nowhere. They were one of the few companies who were honest! Wonderful car and I love every day I drive it.

Obviously majority of people don't have idea how good these cars are. They are actually made for people who appreciate practicality, tougness and advantage of permanent AWD ready to take you on the Moon if you demand so.
I am so sick and tired od semi crossover, semi small city and highway SUV"s that the market is beeing flooded with. There are not so many pure blooded offroad vehicles like Forester and after watching this review, I will be buying one for sure.

The Subaru Forester is a pretty common car in Canada
Ai rationat corect - Subaru..totusi e bine de spus AWD ni 4x4..ca sa mai invete unii diferenta. Mi am luat recent, in Feb 2024 un Outback full option, benzina - am retineri pt Diesel totusi -editia Summit 2019 ( facut pt suedezi )...cu 19.000 km la bord...22500 Eur, cauciucuri de iarna cu crampoane incluse. Bateria a trebuit schimbata, urmeaza update la soft si cam atat..schimbule de ulei l -a facut dealerul inainte de a preda masina..a fost o oportunitate buna...da il dau la schimb..pentru 2 Dustere echivalente poate, nu unul !
Consuma 7.2-7.9 l in afara orasului si 9 l in lras..nu vad rostul de a ma uita la un Diesel Subaru

I heard that the forester 2.0 boxer diesel engines are very bad...
That was the case with some earlier models of pre 2010. They head propblems with head gaskets. Since 2014 they improved significantly. There are many of these cars with over 200 000 miles on the road and still going strong.
Why does it use deisle?

Not seen one but try contacting Kampala motors (Authorised subaru dealer)
I like it but wouldn't want a CVT transmission which I've heard can be complicated and troublesome.

Maybe I didn’t see it? But no one ever pushes this vehicle to its limits and shows the speed. Makes me wonder if the dealership will let them fully test these vehicles? Most people who want the XT are looking for the speed! Your review gets an F!
