The civilization project has been my favorite from kkb so far. Not only is the performance experimental and creative, but the messages are thoughtful and much needed for our generation. Having a hopeful outlook on the future of humanity without turning a blind eye to its problems is an outlook that is in rare supply.
Basically: You shouldn't lose hope in the future of humanity. Dozens of apocalypses have come and passed, yet civilization remains. There is still much to see from this world that Gaia has given us. Things will be hard before that better future comes, so stay well rested till then.

I've been keeping up with KKB since 2016 and its been great seeing the band grow and mature from Bonito Generation while still creating absolute bangers every year. The full version of Well Rested is so good and is probably the best of the Bonito stock.
