I had the exact same problem. When I saw that the laptop you were working on looked just like mine (inside and out), it gave me some hope. I removed and replaced the battery, just as you did, and it worked! I am so glad I found your video! Here's a few bucks... you undoubtedly saved me a lot of money!
happy for you, man!
His skills are problem solving champion. The best presentation on UA-cam- every angle and simple. Soft speak.what a great man alive in 21st century.
Naaah!! for someone who doesn't know anything about this, it seems like a genius.
but for people in the trade is just normal and even trivial........
just turns out to be easy money. (from the know-nothings)
@@jesscast5122 you are in the wrong place. This is humble people who doesn't know anything and he is genius for us. Show us what you know- talk is cheap. Why jealousy increased recently in the world ?
@@abdis70 that's what I said.

Thanks for confirming.
No jealousy. He did nothing special.
just a "day on the job" routine stuff.......
Just the FACTS !! Bud.

This helped me a lot with my HP Pavilion 14-bfxxxxx. Thank you so much for this! This problem happened during my college projects submission and final exams and this video came to my rescue!! Very simple repair video that helped me fix the issue!
My son's computer had water damage, so I opened it and cleaned it, but then it had the same issue you described. Followed your video and now it works! Thank you very much for the great video!!
I did exactly the same thing on my HP Envy 13, and my laptop is charging now, and it's fully functional.
Thank you so much for your help 🙏
This video helped me to troubleshoot my HP Pavillion x360 convertible laptop. I was facing the same problem and I followed this troubleshooting and boom now it's working. Thanks for saving my more than 1000 bucks. Thanks again.🙏🏼

My hp2750p can't charge after water damage but powering on please help me
Mr S.. your sooo smooth.... very calm cool and collected.. Like a deep river.. outstanding.. carry on!
Thank you sir, I was worried I had to buy my mom a new laptop after I made a mistake updating the BIOS! Your expertise fixed the problem God Bless
Hi Sorin. I'm viewing many of your videos and they are great.
About this particular problem, I have found them on many, many laptops with and without battery inside. Usually the process is to take out the battery or disconnect it and plug it back again and that's it.
I think it's some kind of protection on the battery that makes the charging/power process to be blocked.
That didn't work for me. My laptop is a year old... I'm pretty pissed because it's dead, and since this didn't work idk really what to do now. And I don't want to have to bring it in somewhere, but looks like I will have to. Knowing my luck, it's probably the power inlet that's messed up from having the cord dangling off the desk.
I get this issue 3-4 times a week in the company I work, we use HP 840 G6 2019 Gen and it's a very common issue with these new laptops. I learned to test this from you Sorin, a while ago . Thank you!
My HP 840G is currently doing this and it's so annoying, the process doesn't work for mine
I have a brand new dell G5 SE. Power ran out and when I plugged it back, it wouldn't charge. Did the exact same thing as in the video, and now it is charging again! Thank you very much!!
Can't thank you anymore sir, THANK YOU for making this video!!!
I have ROG GL553VD not charging and about going to do the exact same way as this video demonstrates. But when i wanna open the screw, I suddenly have the urge to charge it first to check whether it's working or not. Surprisingly, it charged!!
Then I remember if I left this thing in low battery state and the reason it worked again because perhaps the CMOS running out of the battery due to lack of battery capacity. Phew, now the trouble is gone!
Back then i thought the capacitor/resistor/MOSFET is going to be replaced, i've guessed it's due to short. But now, it's wonderfully back to normal again 😃😃
Very grateful! Thank you. I had the same problem with my Acer Swift 5 SF514-51. I disconnected the battery, plugged in the charger, pressed the on button and voila, it turned on, and charged as usual after reconnecting the battery. I am so relieved!
THE BEST - Just saved my laptop from this video!!!! Thank you.
Hi Mr sorin
Thank you for sharing with us
I really wish I can meet you in person and do classes with you
i know you may get bored making videos about bios resets, but the more you make the more we see how common this is, and what make/models it affect. plus there nice easy fixes for people who do this for a living ! lol. and if someone gets to fix there laptop rather than throwing it in the bin, its a win for everyone ! :)
Love this guy and this is the first time watching him ..ty. Sorin
Hi sorin it’s really magic in your hands thanks for more information able video
Thanks
You have so sample and easy way for diagnostic and solving the problems
Thar is crazy that you need to open up the laptop to get to the battery..I see this more and more.
Thank you for making these videos and for sharing your knowledge.
I enjoy your videos..Thank you again.
Thank you so much...You're AWESOME.. This video was SOOO helpful for me. My HP laptop is now ON .
Sorin thanks for sharing your experience and finesse
Not pointless at all, your sharing this has solved a big problem for a lot of people. Thank you. But as you say sad that this issue exists.
Another great job👍thank you for sharing!!
Sorin. I know you're on a 'general repair' thing here and I greatly appreciate those, but have you thought about putting the model number's in the title's of your videos. There are thousands of any models being made. You'll get a lot more hits if you do that.
چه نظر پخته و خوبی دادن ایشان....
It's funny....when Sorin thinks it's an expensive laptop he throws a rag on the table in order not to scratch it. :))
hahaha
Very true 😀
The video help me well
He's a pro.
It shows that he take care customer’s laptop regardless its price.
Just solved the same problem on a laptop this morning for a friend, I am really grateful Sir 🙏
Hello. Thanks for the video. Do you have a site or place where a person can send in the electronics for you to repair?
Real experts are amazing! Keep up the good work!
I am really thankful to this video, because of which my problem is solved💪😄👌
Great presentation great video Sir and easy to follow.
Hi Sorin, how did you reset the bios without removing any small bios battery?
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH I had a made in china laptop and couldn't work out why it wouldn't do anything even though charger and port were perfect I applied your fix of opening up and unplugging and re plugging battery and guess what it fixed it straight away you saved me alot of time and money thankyou

My extremely inexpensive lenovo piece of junk died last night in the middle of the night. I was panicking because I hadn’t backed up in a while and had many important documents about my mothers estate on the hdd. This video saved me a ton of stress and I am sure expense. I cannot begin to thank you enough.
Sincerely though THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart.
Thanks You saved my Sony Vaio 🙇♂️
Just unplugged bios battery and plugged back in. It started ❤
I have the exactly same laptop and I'm having the same issue, god bless you for this video I will try this.
what are your results?
Many thanks sir. Helped a lot ❤️
Thank you so much for this video. I applied your approach to a Chromebook that had been exposed to water. Tested progressively as you did and once the battery was removed and returned it worked as normal. So helpful!
Thanks brother. It worked for me. Much love ❤
It worked for me.
Thank you wise man.
I tried this in a dell latitude 3420 with exactly the same problem and it worked perfectly
Out comes the elusive yellow duster......... which I must add is only seen out when an apple MacBook is in the workshop 😂
Great job Sorin
That is amazing , really tricky issue , thank you for sharing this video.
can you help me the name of the device used to inject voltage /current on the motherboard to find hot component
You’re genius Sorin
Thank you soo much
You've really helped me sooo much
Love from Nigeria ❤
Thanks man! ❤❤ It really worked
I had the exact same problem to on a HP EliteBook 840 G3. Thank you very much :-)
I thank you very much at first I thought it was my charger cause it was bend and then when I got a new one it didnt work still but you helped me fix it thank you
this video is a blessing!! i have almost the exact same model with the same problem (mine is the 2-in-1 version) i'm never buying an HP laptop again 😅😅 had this for just a little over a year.
i'll try doing this and update if if works on mine
Did it work???? I have a 2 in one model too & it is not charging. I have had it for 3 years but my battery port did crack (it fell from me twice, while charging, on the side it was charging). But it has been charging for months since that crack but i keep having to move the cord/ charger to get it to charge but now nothing. I doubt the charger is the problem though I could be wrong I suppose.
Your a hero. I have to hp 15" i7 laptops less then 2 years old.
They wouldn't charge usb c or with the barrel jack. No light. This explains it
Thanks a lot. It really works for me.
hi mr. sorin, can you please help me on my laptop theres a part in the board where it spark when i test the chip with a multimeter on voltage reading i set it on 20v ? what is the cause of that problem? you have so much talent i admire your skills thank you for your videos!
Thank you so much, this really worked
Thank you this method worked
Mr sorin do you advice debug card on laptop repair?
Can’t believe it what a waste of time 😂👍🏻👍🏻😂love your work thank you
I just went to a laptop repair store today and gave my laptop to fix it. I have Same problem. Should have watched this video sooner.
can you suggest a good laptop brand to buy?
This is why I hold on to my trusty Lenovo g510 from 2014. Starts whenever I want and does its job. I can't justify paying big money for modern problems.
This happened to me. Thankyou sooo much !
Hello sir, I watch your video always they are very educative you are a professional, my lenovo laptop has refused to boot up it will just show me he hard disk, CD ROM and other bootable devices and won't run, even when I put in my windows software to read it doesn't even show me to boot from CD, any suggestion on what to do pls.
The main battery works for the bios ?
I have a trekstor laptop. It has power on the light. But the system doesn’t turn on. I opened it and took the battery out powered it back on like you did. Still nothing turned on. But I heard a buzzing sound when the battery was out of it. I put it back together no buzz sound power to the light still doesn’t turn on. I noticed when I took the back cover off there was no mini ssd. But it was working without it all this time. So that can’t be the problem. What do you think ? Thanks.
The approach is very crude but good!
How would you go about to solve the problem in hand?
His method is nothing special but that's how you start!
Like it or not?
Hie what if after you remove the battery and thr charger is not powering on
Thank you soooooo much you just helped me
First visit, first minute - thumbs up for making it fun. I hope you show me a power fix.
What Brand do you recommend? Thanks!
Thanks sir you save my day 🙏
Hi is it shorted in the mosfet when i connect lcd to eDP then got spark when plugged in my laptop is asus notebook x541n tyia.
Got two of those laptops. They are a beautiful pieces of kit. Small, light, no moving parts. Also has a wired ethernet for when clients insist you connect to a wired network. Truly the future!
True. Same problem on my hp, I only shut it down and the orange light is suddenly turned on. Thank you.
What usb did you plug
any guide on how to power a laptop using the battery +- connector pins hooked to a bench power supply with 11.1v or a pc psu 12v power rail?
That is sick Sorin ! :)
hello any recommendations for me, I reassambled my laptop into a new outer case because mine was broken and I no longer have any power at all. The one mistake I made was removing the heat sink that was on top of the cpu on the ideapad 330s-15arr but I immediately replaced it although with no thermal paste. I've tried unplugging and replugging the battery and other plugs but it has not helped.
Ty!
Thanks bro its helpful
good day master sorin
I noticed a flash drive when you wanted to boot the system why did you insert the flash?
For some reason I get the feeling that this laptop was more expensive than the ones that usually come in for repair ;)
(I cant believe he put the cover back on without blowing off the massive amounts of dust on the fan blades...)
why disturb the universe ... while it works 😊
His fixing not cleaning
The laptop wasn't book for that.
Thank you
Thank you very much
Sorin what you think can be causing my hp 450 g1 charging port flashes white light 8 times but not charge the battery at all i replaced the motherboard but still doing the same thing i tryed multible chargers also
Hi, Mr Sorin
I'd like to mention my experience. If I check the charger I use a resistor to load charger. At least 5W 10 ohms or whatever I find and than I do measuring to find out If the voltage drops down.
I know You use your own charger to fix the computer but if you want to check a client's charger. It may show you false result without load
load-pro from dan sullivan
But he testing first charger costumer .
@@coryphilipHi, I've experienced lot of chargers which showed me good voltage but If they were under load the voltage went down because of output capacitors. They were in a bad condition
@@petrnavratil2084 true enough. He should actually put it under load. The problem probobly doesnt occur till the computer is warm and running heavy CPU load
My expensive gaming laptop died several years ago now (exactly 3 years to the day I bought it - which coincidentally is also when the warranty expired - always figured that was suspicious), and since then I've not been able to power it on or charge it. The whole thing seems dead. The lights don't even come up. Unfortunately, removing the battery didn't help it any for me. Could do with one of those power checkers you used to see if any power is actually getting to it really, incase it is just the power port.
You Saved Me...
Thanks!
Thank you sir❤
Sir what will happen if you don’t change the capacitor that have a shorted?
Hello, I really appreciate this video. This has happened a few times on my laptop and I have sort of reset the computer by taking the battery out before. Do I need to replace the battery? I obviously don’t want to have to keep doing this. As you said, this is an expensive computer. My employer paid for it and I don’t want to have to buy another one. If the battery replacement will help this issue, I will gladly do that. However, it seems like it is not truly the battery, just something needs to be reset. Am I understanding correctly?
Hello, please need your help though i dont kow how you will help. i have an HP probook 4540s laptop with a blinking charging light... please have looked everywhere , thank you in advance
Hello,
We have a similar hp which is dead after we plugged a USB hardware to an USB port. It went black immediately and there was a burnt smell from the USB port. Do you have any idea what can be the problem? Several people have checked it, some say it's the motherboard, and it cannot be fixed. We are not able to find a replacement motherboard. Hp said it is not manufactured any more. Do you have any idea what can be the problem and how we can check it? Thank you.
I have a Clevo Notebook strating but 22 Times Beep i have resistors 5.5V 3,3Ohm by the Audio Amplifier ic goes Hot is the Amplifier Chip dead or other one?
I have a problem on my Acer S1002 after a bios update it won't turn on but when I plug the AC adapter the power led lights up. When I press the power button still nothing show up!! I'm giving up on my laptop! If I could just give my laptop to you will you fix it for me?? 🤔
I freaking love your videos dude. Your my boy!!!
