Cody is the best character in game,a well balanced fighter with better range than Guy or Haggar,which is very usefull against Andore`s charge.He is also the deadliest with weapon.I can beat this game with only 3 credits when using him while with Guy or Haggar I easily get outnumberd by enemies.

I only started playing this game this year (I use MAME). First my favourite character was Guy; I've always liked him since seeing him in Street Fighter Alpha days many many moons ago (though he likes quite different here, less glamorous and more gritty/worn). Then I liked Mike Haggar for his Freddie Mercury style looks and his piledriving madness, and for the fact that I thought the idea of a mayor/fighting-machine who personally took care of criminal gangs firsthand hilarious and awesome at the same time. But then I saw Cody and his lightning-fast knifing skills which can cut through hordes of enemies like they were hot butter, and right now he might be my fav.
I absolutely love the Streets of Rage trilogy, but I find myself repeat-playing Final Fight arcade a lot more than SoR. Just 45 minutes of intense action as I use my exercise bike (my laptop goes on top of the bike panel) for a complete game. Extremely satisfying. I avoid SNES Final Fight 2 and 3, because from the gameplay footage I've seen of them, I think I'd just be disappointed and be better off playing Final Fight arcade again instead.
Final Fight 2's fucking awful, you're doing the right thing avoiding it. Final Fight 3's better but yeah it doesn't feel the same as FF1, it's solid and worth trying out but keep in mind you're gonna be playing a slower and less intense game.

make a walkthrough video from game oldies, i think the version of final fight they have there is way tougher than what i see in this walkthrough. It seems as if they are not hitting at all. Haven't seen 50% of the usual hit attempts that bosses and others do.

How do u throw them when the enemies are punch distance? Like u have to go closer normally but u just cancel punches into a throw? Also how do u do that backwards knee jump?
CatSkinCap IIRC, Difficulty A governs the general difficulty of the game whereas Difficulty B adjusts the health levels of enemies. With B at highest you get quite a few common enemies with green life-bars as you get further into the game.
I don't understand how / why he's not getting burned in the flames at the first part of the industrial district. Also there was a missing Holly Wood in the fight just before the main boss end fight, weird... Never knew you could just grab the samurai boss after he got up, he would always just run over me. Will have to try that and actually see if it works Overall good fighting though, hardest difficulty or not I'm pretty amazed you didn't get caught in some no win situations, especially on the last level with such little food around. Lastly, what's with all the back flips?
Back jumping/flipping is the fastest way to move, the purpose is to shift the screen along quicker to minimize enemy spawns, you might notice some enemies are missing.
+dcobbism There are "spots" in the flame patterns which the chars can walk without being burned. P1 starts already on a spot (just jump the first 2 flames). P2 is a little tricky: at the start of the stage, tap the joystick up, so the char walk up just a little bit. Jump the first 2 flames and you're on the way.

Final Fight 2 is a really decent and solid game but it doesn't do anything new. Final Fight 3 has more moves but it feels like a cheap knock off.
