He was their original & Official mascot waaaay back in the day. You would see em in Capcom instruction manuals for the NES. He didnt look like how he does now either. Still he already was the offical mascot. As you say, he still is. Its in the name.

1:39 Paralyzer is my favourite weapon not only cause it looks awesome but it gives you chances to do whatever you want to the enemies. Great game, I love it. Shame on me years ago that I've finished the game only with Mack using one credit of course. Wanted to do the same with the captain but I failed to do it. :(

I remembered during the last boss fight, I'm one punch away of killing it, I asked the kid to insert his coin and help me beat it. As soon as he choose a character I fkn kill the boss, LMAO fun times.
Games ive found that have overall good mechanics but are completely designed around on cheating you with too many continues late game is Captain Commando by Capcom who normally had excellent brawlers but they really screwed the player over with this one. Its extremely easy at the beginning but spikes at the final level i believe where it hogs around 7-10 continues from you, but oh man it doesnt stop there, the last boss is a complete bullshit design. The boss is literally some guy flying around that has so much more speed than the player you control that its literally impossible to exchange more than 1 hit on him before he will hit you which basically means you can get 3 hits in on him on each continue making the games "insert coin" demand going completely nuts and hog between 15 to 20 continues on this boss alone, this is one of the worst cases of scam ive seen in a arcade game. There are probably worse examples than this game as far as arcades go but these 2 so far for me take the cake at having good mechanics and feel but completely ruined by scam design choices.
But actually, only Captain Commando is set to be an assasin for killing SCUMOCIDE, with Captain's jumped-fire always knock him to the ground, once he tries to stand up just give jumped-fire again and he will be knocked again. Try to do this combo with good timing,. But sometimes you will face SCUMOCIDE's aggressive attack (ice & fire), my hints is stay running and when you know theres no where to run to avoid SCUMOCIDE chased-FIRE or ICE, just do SPECIAL ATTACK (electrical shock), this makes Captains Immune a while from ice&fire, SCHUMOCIDE will be knocked again if hit by electrical shock, do that jumped-fire combo again and that might make Captain a winner with no death.
There are two nice tips here which I didn't think that I want to try: 1 - Running in vertical to throw the flame without advancing. 2 - Interrupting the combo to smash them longer. Does anybody know how to perform that slash with the ninja that sometimes he does (and I don't know how) pushing his sword in diagonal?
You mean his slash combo or his jumping slash? If it's his combo, do the normal combo (without pushing forward), but you push forward in the last hit If it's the jumping slash, just run and do the jumping attack
yeah but there is one where the ninja sticks out his swort diagonally and drops everyone he hits, its more usefull than the normal jump attack but i never figured out how to trigger it

dow+down,forward+forwar + jump, attack(quickly before he jumps ) all characters have different attribute not just ninja.
