Brilliant review and Blake certainly has a tour level golf swing and was getting fantastic numbers from all 3 Cobra King irons, I have just seen the CB and Tour in the new black DBM finish and they look absolutely stunning, I am very tempted with a combo set of the Tour and CB.
Can I complement you on this video, I loved the production/editing and the sound track it was a real pleasure to watch on a cold, rainy winters morning in Manchester UK👍👍 PS the Irons look awesome, Cobra have a great range of sticks with these babies❤❤
What is your reason for disliking the wedges ? I ask because I was always a Callaway guy. Would not even look at another wedge. Then on a whim I purchased the Snakebite wedges and I haven't looked back. Compared to the Callaways I was using these feel softer, more controllable and increased spin.
I Like the Tour version as I remember the article on a different websites site about Fowler testing these in prototype form and really liked the looks of the new irons. Definitely more so than the RF blades he helped design. Wish Rickey all the best of luck, maybe those new irons will help.
I actually found the feel of the tour to be a bit more different than the cb than you guys thought. Felt a bit grainy/gritty wheras the cb felt spectacular. Either way, terrific performers, easy to hit and on the short list of next clubs to go in the bag
Yesterday I got fitted for new irons and I was looking for something like mizuno, titleist or taylormade. I play whit 5 hcp and I tested many different irons from mizuno, titleist, taylormade, callaway and wilson with many different shafts and ended up with these Cobra king tour irons with $-taper 120g stiffs. I never believed that I would go and buy Cobras but I simply wanted best irons for me and my swing. Those felt and looked amazing too! Cant wait to get them in my bag. Might take couple weeks beacuse got em +0.5" and 2 upright.
Great Stuff. I also just got to hit the MB and it was nice. Cant wait to try the CB and Tour. How would you say they compare to MP223 or I230? Also waiting on the 923 Forged. Keep it comin, thanks
Based on the sample heads you've gotten what can you say about the head weight of the irons, coming in really light or heavier? So much of the modern stuff seems really light.
With these clubs it looks like Cobra have strengthened their range, Woods and drivers always been good, irons have not quite been as competitive as the big 3, these though wow.
Combo sets are usually done by assessing strengths and weaknesses according to the individual’s game. Many times sticking with one model throughout is the best choice.
Cobra made these clubs in 2008...they were called the MB/CB Pros...I'm still playing them today and would be interested to know what Cobra says the difference are between them besides 15 years.

These irons look great. Well done, Cobra!
I just picked up my King Tours yesterday. Man they feel so nice.
These might be the best irons out for a combo set that actually blends aesthetics. Srixon is a close second.
I am out of iron market. This would be my top choice if I was. Cobra has been killing it, outside of their wedges.

@@jasongreene89Snakebites are under appreciated! Great wedges

The tour is basically identical to the forged tour from around 2018. Which is a good thing as they are great clubs and still in my bag

Great video guys. I’ll be looking for a fitting for these this year

How are the cb feeling compared to mizuno 223’s?

As a lineup, I think these are the ones to beat this year. Between these and the new ZX lineup... it's a toss up.
ZX MK II review coming soon!
i have the zx5 and i can not tell much difference with the newer model other then ball speed and maybe a touch higher ball flight.
Do you think there would be too much of a difference in feel and gapping if you went with tour PW-8i and then forged Tec 7. -5i?
What are the specs? Let us know what iron he was hitting 2 degrees stronger, from where?
How would you compare these against the i230 irons?
These are comparable for sure, they are in the same player category. The Cobra will have a smaller profile and is 1* stronger lofted.
@@Truespecgolf thanks for reply!
would you say the pings are more forgiving
@@Gwillis7 they are in the same player class and will have similar MOI

If I had also had my club speed at 100 mph I would probably try them out too.
Is the “Tour Validated” channel also True spec?
No, but our VP of Tour & Education occasionally appears on Tour Validated's channel. They're putting out some great content!
Killer Irons
Bought the tour irons
were you hitting a 7 iron?
6 iron
Was he hitting a 7 iron mb?
6 iron
Why combo if fhe tours are just as accurate?
