I love these “first hit” vids with the company reps- they have positive vibes and it’s cool to hear each companies’ perspective/positioning for the season.
I really like the 2019 black Cobra King MB/CB. It looks like the specs of the news 2023 MB/CB models are similar. It would be nice to compare the performance and feel of the 2019 vs the 2023 versions.
Nice looking irons and importantly consistent look across the range. I hated the look in previous years with the excessive branding on the back of the iron, good to see they have toned it down. Those CBs are definitely my sort of iron although I would like a go with the MB
I played the first edition King Cobra Oversize irons many years ago when they first came out, and they had graphite shafts, and DAMN they were good clubs!!! Played them for several years and I let a senior hit them and HE loved them so much he BEGGED me to sell them to him, SO I sold them to him and he played them till just a few years ago when He passed away. I am going to see about getting fit for the Tours or the CB irons in the near future as they look very good and inviting to play, the last set I purchased was my Adams V3 forged, and have been playing them for 11 years now!
Just got fitted for the King tours, tested EVERYTHING....the feel of them is something I have not experienced; somehow, you just want to keep hitting them because they feel that smooth. When the fitter was writing up my order (We did driver, woods, irons, and wedges) he was asking me "Arent you tired yet"....well I was I just wanted to keep feeling contact with the irons. I too thought I was buying TM, Mizzy or Srixon but I am glad I was disavowed of that notion.
Stripe show! Best looking irons from Cobra to date and some of the best looking i've seen in awhile. Looks like the strike a nice balance on looks between the slightly more chunky irons from some brands and the ultra thin top lines of titleist and mizuno etc. Looks like maybe a slightly thinner top line than Srixon ZX 7. Might have to give these a test spin this year.
Great review, all 3 iron sets look amazing but the CBs are the ones which interest me the most as I am not a MB player, Cobra has really upped their game for 2023, I cannot wait to test these and the fairway woods.
@@chasewood5414 I would give the nod to the Cobra CB’s…. Honestly only hit the 223’s when they were first released with MODUS 115 stiff and thought they were ok. I found the KING CB’s to have a better feel. Hit the CB’s with $-taper stiff. Would have to do an apples to apples comparison with the same shaft in both to fairly asses. But had better feedback and results with KING CB
i, and I imagine many of us, would really enjoy some course vlogs with Jose, Vosh and the other reps when you get to visit... They all seem like good lads
8. I've been playing for juat shy of 3 years (march of 22). These are my 3rd set of irons in that time. Initially bought some game improvement irons 'off the shelf' because who shouldn't start with them? Once I got any assemblege of consistency I realized the strong lofted cannons were not a benefit. I hated a 7i that went 200y and also the distance dispersion was not great. The better I got the more often I got hurt by a flyer that would go too far, etc. I understand that most of the time back then I wasn't finding the center of the face but hated the extra 15y when I did. So after 6mo I went and got fit for new irons with the sole purpose being forgiveness without so much distance boost built in. Ended up in pxg 't' which were just that. I didn't need to switch from them. Terrific irons. But as I kept improving i finally tried a set of players cb style irons and juat absolutely loved the feel and got obsessed with that. I was down to a 10hcp at that point and still falling. Last season (2024) i started a mission to try every club in that category and find the one I liked the feel of best combined with the ones I hit the best/got along with the best and that is what id buy. In the end the cobra cb was the winner. Tied with best feel and i instantly hit them well. This was end of the summer and I was around a 9hcp. Just before I ordered, I got curious about the MB combo. I bought a used 8i mb from 2nd swing. I didn't expect it to go well, but I told myself if I was halfway decent with them I would do it. They instantly felt even better, amd they are insanely consistent as long as I 'do my job'. Bought a set of 4i-7i in cb and 8i-gap in mb. I didn't have many rounds before I was scoring better with these than the last clubs, short learning period of distance numbers. Hcp fell a bit in the last few weeks of the season before scores don't count anymore. Its winter now and I haven't played in a month, but if the last 5 rounds I played wousl have counted id be closer to a 6. If you're somebody who legitimately works at your game, I feel these will help you get better. You don't get away with much and you can instantly tell what is working and what isn't. You can swing game improvement irons for a long time before you realize what you're doing wrong, but these put a spotlight on your errors. Not for everyone, but when you get it right they do exactly what you want not an inch more.
Those look so good. I know cobra have been around for a long time but I feel like they really went all in on Bryson for a few years (distance chasing, one length irons etc.)and it changed their image and identity a bit. Bryson is great but is also polarizing. Who knows how many clubs they were actually selling using him as the face of the brand. Now that he seems unlikely to be on their staff, I’m wondering if this is Cobra making an effort to push themselves more into the mainstream. I’d love to try these out though.
i love how ian said he could see someone playing 14 cobras- i've been playing 13 with an odyssey putter since the F8/king black wedge line! currently gaming the black prior cb/mb flow set 3-pw and king black wedges 52/56/60 with a speedzone driver and fairway, but upgrading to these in 4-gw mb with a tec utility 3i and the snakebite wedges for 56/60
Interesting the conversation about traditional loft @ 7:30. I definitely prefer a higher flight and gain better distance with a higher loft. The lower loft = higher ball speed just doesn’t work for me.
@@martynmantack4026 I have a combo set of p790 (3-4) and p760 (5-pw) and they’ve been spectacular. The MC’s are gorgeous, and 770s are very nice too. These cobras might be the most aesthetic irons I’ve seen in the recent releases
Yeah I played the TM TC combo set up until this past season and couldn't find anything I liked till I tried the mizuno 223s that's been the closest feel I've liked overall high to low.
Yesterday I got fitted for new irons and I was looking for something like mizuno, titleist or taylormade. I play whit 5 hcp and I tested many different irons from mizuno, titleist, taylormade, callaway and wilson with many different shafts and ended up with these Cobra king tour irons with $-taper 120g stiffs. I never believed that I would go and buy Cobras but I simply wanted best irons for me and my swing. Those felt and looked amazing too! Cant wait to get them in my bag. Might take couple weeks beacuse got em +0.5" and 2 upright.
The feel comments are interesting... My old cobra cb (last model) didn't feel all that great. It was crisp and solid but by no means soft. Good to see Cobra putting out advancements even in irons.
These look as good as anything I've ever seen. Would like to try with thinner grips though I don't like the standard ones they've been using in my smaller hands.
I just got new irons. If I didn’t. These would be my top choice. They look amazing. I have come to greatly love cobra. Their wedges aren’t great. Besides that, the rest of the stuff they make is amazing
As a longtime fan of Cobra I'm impressed but not surprised. If I wasn't loving my (Copper) King Tour MIM irons I'd give some of these a look. Funny though, these "flow-sets" aren't anything new, my previous S3 Pro irons were just that, 3-6 were CB and the 7-PW were MB and it seems like Cobra has done this with several lines over the years. It is curious that the MIM process seems to have gone away, I wonder why, short of saying 5-times forged for all of these.
It's unreal how amazing they are. TXG gave them a very favorable review as well. So many people were turned off by the branding of the club, but I find them to be some of the best looking irons at address, to to mention feel!
I tried all 3 and I hit the mb with ease and I’m a mid handicapper, but even after that I still feel intimidated playing with blades so I’ll stick with copper forged tec irons for another season since my dad relies on me for my distance when we play in tournaments lol
I am lost you guys said in your Aerojet driver video that you tested the Aerojet irons and did a video on but you haven't posted a video on them yet....
call me crazy but im on the market for a set of blades, i might not use them everytime, but i want em (used to play nike VR some years ago and i miss them), so wednesday im gonna test these beauties and compare them to blade juggernauts like mizuno 221 and titleist mb 20. too bad titleist isnt releasing new blades this year, it's my fav brand alongside mizuno.
Cobra versions of Titleist T100S, CB and MB, with the CB and MB being 1 degree stronger than the Titleist versions. Not a bad blueprint to copy. Looking forward to the Titleist comparison videos!
Cobra is really upping their game, look of the irons are on point!!
They look exactly like my CB/MBs from 2019 except mine are black.
As someone who gamed the black mb/cbs - I'm so glad to see Cobra releasing some decent CBs again 💪💪
I think your ones look world class. Make sure you keep hold of them! Don’t sell.
I have the black ones too, I'm not seeing anything new here.
They were great feeling irons. Played the ‘16 model for 3.5 seasons. Really wish I had kept ‘‘em instead of trading them in.
Those look great. Lots of combo options. Even combining all three wouldn’t be outrageous. 3,4 - King Tour, 5-7 - CB, 8-PW - MB.
Great combo.
Man these irons look fantastic! At least Cobra didn't just mail it in this year like TM
The King Tour irons have a unique sound, can’t wait to give them a test run

Cobra forging is sneaky good!
I had an old set of Cobra s3 pro blades, there was something about them, best feeling clubs I've ever hit!

That cb is one of the best looking irons I’ve ever seen. ❤❤❤
I hit these last night 🤤🤤 the CBs will be my future irons! Man they felt and looked amazing!!

I’ve hit them as well. Super impressed with the CB & MB. Anyone in the market for a player cavity back should strongly consider the CB’s in 2023
How would you compare them to the mizuno 223’s if you’ve hit them?

Been testing these out at my club. Very sweet irons! I will likely be doing a combo MB/CB.
I have a set of these cb/mb from 4-gap and did a 50/50 split the cb goes 7-4 and MB goes 8-gap. I LOVE these irons.
I’m thinking of doing exactly this. What’s your handicap?

I always loved the combos, I wish these were available 2 years ago when I bought my new irons. Might have to grab a set to stash for later.
Stoked! I'm still playing my CB/MB Pros and am looking for a new set of clubs this year...could be a contender! They're still buttery soft!
My first swing with the Tour iron and I knew this one is my next iron!

jose is the man!!! and now after my fitting today I'm down $2100.00 for a set of king tours with graphite mmt 125tx .
I play the 2022 Forged Tecs and they are absolutely delightful irons
what a nice sounding set. Cobra always had great irons. they seem to have improved even more
Interesting the conversation about traditional loft @ 7:30. I definitely prefer a higher flight and gain better distance with a higher loft. The lower loft = higher ball speed just doesn’t work for me.
I hit the Cobra King CB at work the other day and they felt awesome. Would you recommend that iron for a picker of the ball?
I love my new cobra Cb/mb combos. 👍🏻
They look and sound as good as Miuras!
I gamed the old Taylormade Tour-preferred MC’s for years and this set reminds me a lot of that line of CB/MC/MB irons, and I loved those.
I’ve got the TM MCs they are beautiful. I bought the p770s and went back to the MCs felt way better

The MB and CB look brilliant. Makes me think of the Titleist equivalents.
Especially the CB

Interesting point about Rickie because he also is the one who had that player blade model that was probably the smallest blade ever made years ago.
I thought the exact same thing, doesn't even play his signature irons.
The king tour look almost identical to my cobra forged tour from 2018 and there still my favourite irons and still in the bag.
Wow. Impressive line up from Cobra!
Just ordered my combo set… as soft mizuno but better looking to my eye

these look amazing!
They look class, cobra’s or pxg 0317 st 🤔
Did they get rid of the tungsten in the Tour?
Damn those sound pure. The CB jump in ball speed was interesting. I’m a sucker for a pure cb.
I think that was a clubhead speed increase
@@ryanhorner1675 more of a jump in smash factor, so he was probably centering the cb slightly better
Can we get an Iron bracket this year 👀
The king tour iron looks just like the Titleist ap2 708 back from 2008
No wonder Gary Woodland switched and signed with them!
King Tour sounded like a hybrid on your second shot😂
Only for left-hander?

Cobra versions of Titleist T100S, CB and MB, with the CB and MB being 1 degree stronger than the Titleist versions. Not a bad blueprint to copy. Looking forward to the Titleist comparison videos!
I’m torn between the King Tour and P770s!!!
How are these CBs feeling compared to mizuno 223’s?
What would you compare the Mizuno Pro 225 to?
from Cobra, the King Forged Tec would be comparable
Great job, Cobra, supporting the lefties.
If Cobra gets the price right, this is the T100 killer.
Looks like my old fly z pro irons
Really nice feel but very unforgiving on misshits
Like the current Cobra irons. The RF irons were a big failure.
I was ready to order a set but they have hardly any shaft options. Disappointing...
How can a giant club maker ,Ping specifically ,claim that five shafts fit 95% of all golfers?
Good to see Club Champion has halted their channel and everything runs through you guys now. That channel was whack
