For a better balanced rifle, I would suggest fitting a 2-7x32 or 3- 9 x32. , heavier bigger scopes you will find they cause the rifle to bank left or right causing shot to be out of alignment. Nice video
Trigger could do with a fettle, the sears in the mechanism are under stress from the main spring, so lightening would be benificial, that said you can only go so far before the safety fails to engauge (and /or) it becomes too light as to be dangerous .. A strip down AND a sear polish would also reap rewards.. Also, check stock bolts and scope mount screws to make sure they ain't come loose with vibration
Yesterday i spent solid 2 hours shooting can confirm springers are very fussy about everything after about 40 minutes added folded tea towel under my elbow as it was resting on kitchen work top and that changed how often i hit my smaller spinner i also noticed at very begining i must be little over excited and after 10-15 minutes it relaxes me and results improve . I love it for me it is relaxation during those two hours i didnt need to drink go toilet smoke or do anything else brain off mode 😅😅
Great rifle mate 👍 Understand you like the scope but mounted on the little 99S it's overkill. An Airmax 2-7 or 3-9 would be way better for that rifle. I own almost all HW springer models and with all i'm able to shoot 1 cm. groups on 30 yards. Put your hand on the bag and the stock very light in your hand with very little pressure on your shoulder. Just let it glide...concentrate only on the target and crosshair and and build up the pressure on the trigger without exact knowing when it fires. If you think now i'm gonna pull the trigger you'll get bad results. To big scope magnification will also have a negative effect because you'll see every heartbeat in the scope. Try it buddy, and i promise better results. Thanks for showing this great HW. Lighter JSB exact pellets with 5.52mm. head size will work fine....Forget alloy pellets. Cheers!
Can confirm that my 99s doesn't get on with the Hades but does like JSB Diablo, QYS, H&N FTT, H&N8. It also likes a more relaxed hold especailly on the foregrip. I spend quite some time zeroing, part of the fun for me and I find shooting so relaxing.
Hi .another great review The gun is new and is clearly still dieseling slightly hence the smell and the poor accuracy.this isn't anything you are doing wrong . The scope is lovely but 50 is on the big side as the HW 99 doesn't have a high comb .so you raise your head off the stock to see through the scope . Bisley pellets have never been good for me in anything possible they are ok in a PCP. H&N esp the eco ones or rws hobby are normally a good place to start. Finding the right pellet will transform how it shoots. As for stress ,stress is not good for accuracy but shooting is good for 😬stress. This is not a criticism as I like your Chanel, just an observation. you are shooting it like it's a PCP .it needs to be shot slightly different to get the best out of it . I think you are going to like this when it's settled down ,may take a tin of pellets to do so.
Absolutely not. I want constructive criticism. I’m not unhappy with the accuracy. I know it’ll get better. I do need to get to a range get some real life feedback. But it’s a great rifle. And the main thing is I really love shooting it! Better groups will come. And hey…. Im shooting it better than my Crosman silver fox out of the box haha
With spring rifles, It's not a good idea to have the barrel aiming up as you flick the barrel shut, As you can risk an odd pellet either unseating itself, and trapping it in the breach,or in the worst case, the pellet could fall out, And you end up dry firing empty, Which is very bad, I've seen it happen. You should always keep the barrel at least level or aiming down, whilst loading a spring rifle. Cheers Paul 👍
I found out that ots best to keep the front sights on the barrel. Because of harmonics. My hw30s shoots way better like that. And if the air rifle its new, its going to take a couple hundren shots for it to be good. Greetings from Portugal 👍
Yeah. I think I’m going to swap out the scope get a better position and eye relief. This one cant go further without hitting the breech. Let’s wait for the the digital one haha
Recoiling airguns, particularly light untuned break barrels, do not like a rest. They prefer a gentle near open hand on the fore end and a light control of the pistol grip. Recoiling air guns have a slow lock time during which you'll experience the double rebound of the piston. It is challenging to master their accuracy potential. The gun needs to recoil and the hold must be consistent to get the best from it.
You really need a selection of the most popular pellets to try. It's not unusual at all for a rifle to refuse to group with some brands and single hole with others. Having said that a light piston and a short stroke like the 99 will probably favour lighter pellets under 15 grains.
I definitely took some advice from this shoot. AGF folks gave me advice and even pellets to run through it. She’s now a dream and I’m a little kinder to her.

Thank you!
Lighten the trigger & clean the barrel it should be putting pellet on pellet at that range.
Todays task! 👍🏻👍🏻

Going to have to research all of this when back from my break. Would love to get in to the servicing so will take a look!
I've heard that these rifles seem to like H&N FT Trophy pellets try them well worth a go as at that distance you should be get far better groups.
It preferred the Diablo jsb. I’ll grab some of the H&N next time I’m at the surplus store! Thanks for the recommendation!
No worries it's all trial and error all part of the hobby 👍

My one seems to like RWS Superdome's and a very light hold but they are great rifles.
Got some super domes. Will run a few through it.

A relaxed hold and some other pellets and should be a different rifle.

H&N on the way! Thanks for the tip!!
Mine loves RWS superdomes.
A few people say this. I’m going g to try!
Definitely do some pellet testing. Should be pellet on pellet at that rage. You will know when you find the right one. Try RWS and H&N FTT,
Ordered some H&N ftt! Cheers!
I see you are not holding the hw99 the same way every time
I shoot a hw50s and I know how very important it is to use the same hold

Interesting!! Thank you. I will maybe do some testing. Thanks for point it out! Olá!
Hi mate, have you heard of or know about parallax error? I think that's why your aim is off mate
Yeah. I think I’m going to swap out the scope get a better position and eye relief. This one cant go further without hitting the breech. Let’s wait for the the digital one haha

I learn with every comment like this. Appreciate the advice!
Mm. That out to be putting pellet on pellet .
Lovely gun
Thanks Brian. I’m going g to work on this rifle I think. I really like it. Lots of tips on here from you guys. Just means more rifle time!! Hooray.

@@MrYippage agree. I now have this dialled in with the H&N ft after very similar feedback.
@@tvm-reviews Nice. A pellet selection is getting expensive now as prices approach £20 a tin.
@@MrYippage yeah really is!
So much nicer with that front sight removed
Well it's showing that it doesn't like the Haydes. Make a collection of pellets, you'll soon see which one's it likes . Great review.
Finaly 😎
You are far too rough with that lovely rifle! I would relax and slow down and use iron sights!...LA5 UK

Aiwa 😘💕👍👍
Just slow down, breath, use follow through!!
Usel h n field target trophy carnt better
@@RalphJordan-i3d you’re right. It loves them
I was going to buy one of these guns.
@ go for it! Reliable for sure. I didn’t do it justice in this video. But she’s in my keep pile
