Just want to say thank you for your videos! They are contagious - hard to stop watching them. Also just bought you booklets and getting ready for my Israeli trip in October (hope the world does not collapse completely until then). I enjoy your videos, the last time we stayed near the old city was at the Jerusalem View, and it was wonderful, and a good central location. FYI, the last time I was in Wisconsin, we went to the Extended Stay of Franklin WI. YallaBye!
In January 2020, right before the pandemic started, I went to Israel and stayed at Abraham Hostel in Jerusalem. I had a fantastic time and the people at the front desk were very knowledgeable about helping me get to a destination that was a bit out of the way and not super well known (Herodion National Park). I'm sure that all the hostels Oren suggested are excellent but I personally would like to recommend Abraham Hostel as being exceptional for my personal stay.

I stayed at Stay Inn this past summer. I was in Israel for 9 weeks and it was convenient to stay there because it's literally in the center of action---on King George and Ben Yehuda! It's a very lively area!

I actually stayed at Jeru Caps last March at capsule #34. It’s a good value for money and has extra privacy. The check in procedure though takes time for some reasons.

Yes, they are very interesting. Enough for people which are the most time of the day outside. And it is big enough for 2 people.

We are coming to stay in Jerusalem in September. My Israeli friends stayed in my hotel in the uk last month and we are going to an event in Jerusalem in September, I laughed when they said we have booked you into the ymca, here the ymca is something extremely cheap and cheerful, I wasn’t expecting the ymca in Jerusalem to be so pretentious and luxurious. Definitely looking forward to our visit. Interesting to see these hostels and hotels, todah.

I am surprised that you pick something that looks so Western but you don't pick something that is efficient I stayed at a wonderful hostel which was run by the Catholic Monastery the sisters the nuns right across the street from the Western Wall that's the best possible place you could have mentioned at a great price point clean decent they serve you three meals clean rooms wonderful safe and secure but you don't mention it and I've got to ask you why

I did write a post about it on my internet site. For first timers it is much easier to take a hostel in the western side. Some of the places in the old city are hard to find and don’t have 24 hours reception
