I've built three sheds over the years. My last one was an 8x8. I got a killer deal on 60lbs of 3 3/4 inch stainless steel screws and about 10 sheets of rough faced cedar siding from a lumber yard was was closing down. I built my trusses on a 4-10 pitch and the shed turned out great. I used Vulkem calking that I got from the lumber yard, so I bought two cases. I sold the rest of the cedar siding I didn't need to a friend for a dog house he built with the plywood. Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
I hope you enjoy the Garage video as well. I put a link to it in the description. I actually have a whole playlist on all the details in the description as well. I hope it helps!
As a very experienced custom home builder, I also would have applied construction adhesive between the subfloor and the floor joists, which not only eliminates any squeaking, but bonds the whole structure together, which offers much more rigidity and strength.
*GREATNESS DOES AS GREATNESS DOES* 🔥🔥🔥 You're an inspiration to us all, and it's wonderful to see greatness doing as greatness does. Your dedication and hard work are truly admirable!

It is a lot of information! It should be a one stop shop type of a video to build a shed. You are welcome. I will definitely keep the videos. Thanks for watching!
Another great video Josh, the attention to detail is fantastic. The only question on this one: did you attach the joists or rim to the concrete blocks at all? I know it's just a shed, but I'd imagine it can shift with ground freezing/thawing over time, or heavy rain eroding the soil, etc.
Josh you are very detailed in all of your builds. I love watching and learning from you. Also I am impressed with all the cool projects you have completed over the year or so that I have been a fan.
i 💙watchn people build, how stimulating. curious bout the shed, i thought, SIMPLE. but NO! its a tiny Home. u did a XCELLENT job on a simple shed, imma build 1 out of popsicle sticks though. fun2 watch u & eazy on the 👁️s 👍🏽👏🏽
Great video, could you share what size nails you use for each of the various connections? I.e galvanized vs bright and what gauge and length for things like trim and the LP siding?
Great, now I need to build a shed. 😅 Great detailed video brotha. The shed turned out great! You're missing the garage video thumbnail at the end again. It's just you pointing at the air. Cheers 😂
What was the total cost for this shed? I'd like to compare it to the one I'm currently working on, a 12 x 12 with post buried in the ground. Thanks in advance. Great video by the way. 👍
Incredible work, as always. How did you learn so much about building? I’m a police officer in Florida and nearing retirement. I’m very handy and can do a lot of diy. I’d really like to get into building, I just don’t know where to start. Any suggestions? Would it be impossible to carve some time out and chat? Would certainly appreciate it!
As a 2nd profession? Many local builder groups / trade groups have apprentice schools as do some colleges. The ones that used to be community colleges. Best of luck.
@MA-vm6jl Tell me that every shed or garage Garage on UA-cam has built wrong. Why not just sheath the roof with plywod, then use metal roofing? Why do all that soffit work its a shed (he kept reminding us)? Granted he did a get job I'm a subscriber I enjoy his work ethic,
That sheathing is going to rot at the bottom within 10 years guaranteed.. I wish they had something available made from PVC that could stand up to the sun - and moisture.
Married guys will appreciate building their he shed big enough to accommodate them when the wife kicks them out of the house. Am I right or what? 🤔🤭🤷🤦👍🙏👌🤣🤣🤣🤣
The right UA-cam videos can be very helpful in learning new skills. Josh does a nice job with his, and for those of us DIYers, they can be very worthwhile. I wouldn't be a world famous brain surgeon without UA-cam. 🤔😉🤭🤷🤦🤣🤣🤣
@@Navy1977 true but on other hand the wrong UA-cam video can also make you lose a hand or couple fingers or a couple toes and a foot but yet i would be a lawyer with out UA-cam either oh wait does it count if i ended up in jail after trying in court what i saw on a UA-cam video
Bro you have no idea how much we appreciate the details!
Thanks, I put a lot of effort into making sure I explained everything clearly!
I love this guy. So detailed. He even tells you the size and type of nails. I'm so grateful for his channel. Thank you Josh for all of your hard work.

This is a good way to build, but watch several youtubes to gather some additional shortcuts.
