I love the realness of your videos! What month did you hike through here? I want to plan for those wildflowers lol, but not the bugs haha. Can’t have my cake and eat it too I guess.
@klamathmountainultralight Was wondering about that since it's 10 miles off the trails. So that would add 20 miles to the hike. A big off trail hike without a good shuttle. Thanks for the info.
@@tonyvelasco5732 approaching from the north and south you’ll see a sign with about 10 phone numbers of trail angels. Just start texting them and you’ll get a quick reply and a ride. They’re super responsive. The whole town is very hiker-friendly.
I’ve been hiking/mountaineering in Washington for 50 years.., Goat rocks is my favorite for views.
More awesome scenery! But what you need there is more "4 lane roads, and liquor stores" (inside joke). Long story of 4th of July at Tahoe in 86'

This was late July in a slightly below average snow year. Great wildflowers!

Direct hike into trout lake, which is well off trail, or did you get a ride?
Got a ride. It was super easy, and I was there 2 days before they start the shuttle service from Forest route 23
