To depict Eastern Asia it would’ve been better to choose China over Japan.
Not only dies it make sense with the stories of Altair and Ezio but also it’s the cultural powerhouse of the time and the origin of Japanese and Korean and Vietnamese culture.

Unfortunately Ubisoft needs money to appease the shareholders so they make the money grabbing decision with choosing the much more popular country. It's crazy to only feature China on a smaller games instead of the main game. I reckon they'd make a china game next time using the same engine tho.

Is It just me, or did they ditch the RPG facial animations and went back to mocap?
Hopefully we'll have a solid answer tomorrow, so far It looks super promising.
It's only going to be a couple mocapped scenes. The games a 50+ hour long RPG a majority of cutscenes will be like Odyssey and Valhalla.

Is this going to have season pass dlc that takes you to places like china , the Himalayas and Mongolia?
It's unknown at this moment, but if I should make a prediction, I'd say no - I don't really see these protagonists move away from Japan honestly.
Maybe they won’t, perhaps they’ll introduce a new character or we might see someone from before like Shao Jun, but having the time in consideration perhaps it won’t be giving the fact that the first mentor of the Japanese Brotherhood was Shao Jun disciple and when he left she was an old woman or maybe the can make a history with Shao Jun after the events of assassin’s creed china but before Shadows, but that is just my guess, I maybe wrong but I hope not at least in a way

i wish they bring back hidden blade boss assassination like uniy and mirage will be amazing.
Yasuke is a historically fascinating character and very popular among the Japanese. But in the Assassin's Creed universe, he would be a terrible choice. Think about it, Yasuke was probably the only black man in Japan at that time. So how would he blend into the crowd? Everyone would recognize him. Yes, Yasuke is obviously not a character who handles things with stealth, but it still doesn't make sense. Let's say he raids a camp, by the time he gets to the next camp, word would have spread, and soldiers would start attacking Yasuke on sight in the streets.
Up until now Yasuke is more depicted as a powerhouse, the one you send when you need someone powerful again a squadron of enemies, while Naoe is more that kind of character who handles things with stealth. If you think about it, is not that different from Assassin's Creed Syndicate where Jacob was the one who didn't care about stealth but had more of a direct approach without planning stuff, while Evie was the stealthy one always programming and thinking about how to do things. Surely being the only black man in Japan would raise some alarm, but probably the play here is that he uses his public persona in a way and leaves no survivors when he does something for the Brotherhood.

@@obsidianwarrior5580 for an RPG it was amazing, but to give it the title Assassins Creed. I can understand how that’s bad, but overall, I think it’s aged like wine for Greek hero game. AC, not so much.

When it's still named codname Red, it's already stated this gonna be rpg. Not much as odyssey or Valhalla, but rpg still.
@@farid-frederick what's that got to do with parkour? mirage uses rpg system as well, but level design allows for good parkour nevertheless.
@@JiraiyaOfLeaf it's mean the game will focused on character's leveling and gameplay like beat 'em up rather than stealth (parkour). Of course doesn't mean it's gone completely, just not main focus.
