Here's the answer as to why most games don't meet expectations. Different artists/teams senior artist and staff quit or get burned out and go to other studios. There is also the pressure of internal deadlines burnout etc etc. Maybe the only VFX artists they're capable of keeping are entry or mid level. Animators may not be as experienced or are piggy backing off of another team members work who left the company. The answer is more complex than they simply didn't care and just wanted your money. As a game dev myself I can tell you that everyone working at these studios very much care about what they put out but we simply don't have enough time or lack the resources. This is coming from an Artists perspective and I am telling you what we deal with during production.

@@mrlol6484 Well, I liked Origins better but it depends on what you like. Origins is open world while Plague Tale has levels. It is more story driven. Plus, it has survival and horror elements to it.
That’s why origins is the only good game in the rpg style. It’s still assassins creed. It has attention to detail. It has a set character and set story for everyone to experience. No gender selection, dialogue choices and multiple endings. It was still assassins creed from start to finish.
Odyssey was better. Everything good about Origins was more refined in Odyssey. Plus, Origins was a bait and switch for Aya. Aya avenged their son, not Bayek. Aya assassinated Caesar. Aya assassinated Cleopatra. Bayek ended up a passenger in his own story by the time the game ended
@@DuelyusSeazerOrigins is still the most detailed AC to this day (btw, this is not me trying to say that Odyssey is worse or anything as a game, just that a lot of the attention to detail in Origins was removed in Odyssey).
@TheGeechman Say what you will. Odyssey sold better and has more current users in 2024. Origins averaged a 9.0/10 score. Odyssey averaged a 9.1/10. Origins Story started off with Bayek, and ended with Aya. Odyssey started with Kassandra/Alexios and ended with Kassandra/Alexios. You're objectively wrong but all in all it really doesn't matter. @@DuelyusSeazerThis wasn’t just Bayek’s story just because we play as him majority of the time, did you forget that this started with their Son’s death? So why shouldn’t Aya be the one to finish it? dont be lazy. There are comparisons between Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. And valhalla actually has the best details! Go check it out if you dont believe me :) Origins is very overrated and has some bad attention to detail aswell but yeah this is just a short to shit on mirage
The game was made by Ubisoft beardoux (I have no idea how to spell it). As you know Ubisoft (as a company) has many studios across the world. This one is maybe the last one who truly cares about the fans and the franchise. They did the most they could with limited resources to give fans a real AC experience. Being mindful of it's limitations, I think we should give them the appreciation they deserve. Because at the very least it signals Ubisoft (the company) that THIS is what we want to see, or at least that this is a step in the right direction. If Ubi realizes this is what fans want, they might invest in a full fledged game and even in a new engine, focused on classic gameplay.
Ah yes, Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, all these games with amazing detail and so much to offer yet fans always shit on gold and only see the "gold" aspect afterwards with new releases
Simple: Mirage was planned as a story DLC to Valhalla but then decided to use it as a test if the "old formula" would work well on the AC Fanbase. It's a super basic game with a short story that tested the waters for gameplay direction. Origins was a game they wanted to revolutonize the series with and gave a second year to develop. It was the only actually good RPG game from the AC series. Mirage was fun, but super dumbed down
Bro Ubisoft drops AC games almost every 2 years ( compared to 10 year gestation period of Rockstar) of course Ubisoft games will lack details as they have to rush to next project
Theres a lot of different Ubisoft studios working on different AC games with staggered release scheduling. Ubisoft Montreal made Origins and Valhalla for example while Ubisoft Quebec made Odyssey and Ubisoft Bordeaux made Mirage.
It’s because mirage wasn’t their biggest project. It was meant for a dlc for Valhalla and was a quick cash grab. Origins had the most dev time out of all of them too. Their biggest project is gonna be shadows.
Well, because they're made by different studios. One was Ubisoft Montreal (Origins), the other by Ubisoft Bordeaux. Two different teams of developers with different ideas. Also, Mirage started as DLC for Valhalla, but didn't have the time to turn into a full-fledged game.
The real answer is that Ubisoft is a huge company broken up into teams. The team that did Origins did not develop Mirage. Even if it was, Origins was made a long time ago and the same people who worked on that team probably don't work on it anymore. Origins was the reimagining for the gameplay with Assassin's Creed. We have a reimagining every once in awhile but it seems there hasn't been one since Origins. Unless you reimagine the games, the sequels will just play like the previous games and will even contain the same animations because Ubisoft is milking this franchise. The sad thing is, the Ubisoft teams after the Origins team stopped focusing on the detail that the Origins team laid down as a groundwork. Instead, they focused on other things that ultimately drove the series into something that isn't worth getting excited over anymore. I have played every single entry since AC1 and when Mirage came out, I watched a bit of video on it and I don't even WANT to play it. They hardly ever change animations in the sequels anymore unless they have to, the stories have become so diluted that them going back to the roots did nothing and the only thing even holding up the series at this point is the exciting location they choose next. That's the only thing worth even keeping up with anymore. Because you KNOW it will play like AC mirage and shadows unless they finally reimagine the series so they can recycle that reimagining 7-8 more times until the next one.
Because Ubisoft doesn’t care about detail because that would take time they’re more concerned about shipping a game and cashing in on the legacy of the brand rather than upholding the legacy. Which is why this fall’s Shadows will be a shallow puddle compared to Ghost of Tsushima.
idk if this was a rare occurrence but in my mirage gameplay i remember walking the deserts with basim but a mirage of what seemed a man crawling on the floor in a tornado was there but as you walked up to it, it faded away and the man was the jinni
It's simple. Origins was supposed to be the saviour of the franchise after they were reeling back from the low sales figures of syndicate. They genuinely put their all into it.
A lot of people really misinterprets what kind of game Mirage is suppose to be. It's a filler game (in between two major releases) like Rogue remastered, the Ezio collection, AC3 remastered and it was supposed to be a Valhalla expansion. So really we got far better than originally expected so I wouldn't dare complain.
It means that they're not recycling code as they should, they probably took the same engine as Valhalla, which is an improvement than the one in Mirage's, without importing the assets
People when they realise origins had more money and time put in development whilst being made by one the biggest and most experienced ubisoft studios whereas mirage is made by the newest and smallest team who are bunch of developers geniuenly interested in the original games and how they worked:😱😱😱
Mirage had less development time and was made by a different studio than Origins. What they accomplished in a short ammount of time and how close they got to CLASSIC Assassin's Creed is amazing. You are misunderstanding everything because you didn't look into this or do research.
And you missed the worst part. Npcs hardly ever react to corpses, you can do a massive slaughter and npcs will keep walking, selling or doing whatever without noticing the dead corpses. Its weird because they do react when youre on combat, they recognize you when notorious or even get scared when you tear off a wanted poster. Or maybe finding corpses randomly in the street was not so strange at those times in bagdad 😂
ubisoft didn't really put some effort in ac mirage. it feels like i was playing a dlc from ac valhalla. plus not much point of interest outside round city, map that was very very small, storyline that was very very short, combat was also not very satisfying 😅
Must be something new or very speicific. I was really impressed with 0 issues in Origins. I did fall under textures in Odyssey and had other minor issues, but none in Origins.
I actually think it’s pretty simple. Witcher 3 clearly played a big role in origins inspiration since it won game of the year in 2015 and Ubisoft at the time were on a huge losing streak declining in quality with each ac game. The best thing to do was prove everyone wrong with origins and copying the Witcher 3 and it’s immersive world seemed like the best thing to do which guaranteed them the most money. Also origins was worked on by multiple Ubisoft studios having each one designed to another part of the map.
Origins had more time of development time. All these things you've mentioned are also not available in Odyssey and Valhalla. Which is why I love the details of origins.
My theory is the newer games get and the more they invest in superficial things like graphics and unnecessary mechanics, the less attention to detail they put in games
Denuvo is partially behind these. Origin does not have denuvo making it using full hardware power for graphics rendering and quality features. Mirage having Denuvo which uses more power than the game itself forces developers to reduce overall game graphics and mechanics quality to make it playable.
It’s always happens in ubisoft games they try to squeeze as much as possible from the same game engine but different development team everytime so the new developers forget or not aware of the previous little details at the game before

Because 1 was a full on game and 1 was supposed to be Valhalla dlc but Ubisoft said fuck it we can get 60 for a full game instead of 20 for a dlc

Origins was really underrated really felt like been in ancient Egypt I just wish it had a better combat system like the originals
That’s why origins is the only good game in the rpg style. It’s still assassins creed. It has attention to detail. It has a set character and set story for everyone to experience. No gender selection, dialogue choices and multiple endings. It was still assassins creed from start to finish.
Origin was GOAT. It just had it all...
@@DuelyusSeazerodyssey was a hot mess, origins was an entirely better game and story
They were both phenomenal games, I just found the story of Origins to really, really let me down when I realised Bayek doesn't matter. He's literally a pointless character made to support Aya
@@DuelyusSeazerThis wasn’t just Bayek’s story just because we play as him majority of the time, did you forget that this started with their Son’s death? So why shouldn’t Aya be the one to finish it? You Odyssey fans have the worst arguments
I would say this-since Mirage is basically a Valhalla DLC they decided to sell separately as a new game, lets try to check some of those details in valhalla itself, like trying to destroy a boat or hay by setting it on fire
dont be lazy. There are comparisons between Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla. And valhalla actually has the best details! Go check it out if you dont believe me :)
Origins is very overrated and has some bad attention to detail aswell but yeah this is just a short to shit on mirage
@@mongolen-kn2yc you really called it lazy?😆to launch the games, find a comparable location and try, while your suggestion was basically "go google"?
No matter what you say but the open world which ubisoft creats is beautiful ❤️

"this ubisoft is broken", truer words have never been spoken.
They're not developed in 2 years tho
Theres a lot of different Ubisoft studios working on different AC games with staggered release scheduling. Ubisoft Montreal made Origins and Valhalla for example while Ubisoft Quebec made Odyssey and Ubisoft Bordeaux made Mirage.
Origins is my favorite in the series.. it is a masterclass in game design
They're just trying to see how low they can go and still get sales. I wish more people were made aware of how bad these games are fundamentally
Wise thoughts...
The answer is simple push out cheap games for money. No more quality over quantity
Origins had an extra year of development time
Because AC Mirage is a Valhalla DLC sold as a game.
idk if this was a rare occurrence but in my mirage gameplay i remember walking the deserts with basim but a mirage of what seemed a man crawling on the floor in a tornado was there but as you walked up to it, it faded away and the man was the jinni
It's because they had a smaller budget in Mirage, and presumably, a smaller team working on it.
It's simple. Origins was supposed to be the saviour of the franchise after they were reeling back from the low sales figures of syndicate. They genuinely put their all into it.
Origins and Odyssey are top tier
You’re the worst kinda assassins creed fan go play some fuckin horizon zero dawn if you want to play rpgs
Origins was a lot more expensive to make. It also took a lot of time. Mirage was originally DLC. It was a lot smaller in terms of budget
I really liked mirage. Map was small and game was short but still got the hit of playing AC
Theyve all been shit since AC3
What about Black Flag?
Rogue was goated
AC IV and Unity were pretty good for me but yes Syndicate was pretty boring.
Black flag , rogue were great unity was good. Syndicate is only better than the new games.
They actually got good after that 😂not only in details but story not boring and slow
Anyone who says mirage isn’t good either didn’t play it, or is just a bot 💯
A lot of people really misinterprets what kind of game Mirage is suppose to be. It's a filler game (in between two major releases) like Rogue remastered, the Ezio collection, AC3 remastered and it was supposed to be a Valhalla expansion.
So really we got far better than originally expected so I wouldn't dare complain.
It means that they're not recycling code as they should, they probably took the same engine as Valhalla, which is an improvement than the one in Mirage's, without importing the assets
Ubisoft started making bad assassin's Creed games in 2017
Yeah
After*
People when they realise origins had more money and time put in development whilst being made by one the biggest and most experienced ubisoft studios whereas mirage is made by the newest and smallest team who are bunch of developers geniuenly interested in the original games and how they worked:😱😱😱
Who cares? 🤣
Not to mention that Mirage was meant to be DLC for Valhalla,so what they did is impressive, not like anyone will appreciate it ...
they're interested in the original games but added magic teleporting assassinations
Ubisoft is becoming a disgusting disgrace.
True
The Sand was not better in origins 💀
Okay...
It seems like mirage was made because “fans” was complaining about stealth and hidden blades I think the developers enjoyed the rpg elements more
ubisoft didn't really put some effort in ac mirage. it feels like i was playing a dlc from ac valhalla.
plus not much point of interest outside round city, map that was very very small, storyline that was very very short, combat was also not very satisfying 😅
Budget.
Yeah...

Why is it that in Origins, the game crashes everytime when diving or using the eagle?

@@diosydinero Nah, on pc. Apparently it's an issue with some Nvidia graphics cards
Because when ubisoft Did put in effort no one cared. Then after ubisoft learned youll buy it anyway weather they do or dont..
Ubisoft bordeaux is a small studio with a smaller budget and I think they did a great job with the funds they had
Honestly, we need a new game company to buy out ac and give it what it needs.
Origins was the last masterpiece ubisoft could make before going to shit with odyssey and valhalla
Denuvo is partially behind these. Origin does not have denuvo making it using full hardware power for graphics rendering and quality features. Mirage having Denuvo which uses more power than the game itself forces developers to reduce overall game graphics and mechanics quality to make it playable.
It’s always happens in ubisoft games they try to squeeze as much as possible from the same game engine but different development team everytime so the new developers forget or not aware of the previous little details at the game before
damn the details, seeing flowers go through his ass is hilarious. Mirage trully master piece 😂
It was supposed to be a DLC for Valhalla then they decided to make it a stand along game. Let the negligence commence!
Both arent made by the same people at the studio, Mirage was probably a small side project with interns.
Mirage is a great Game, it doesnt deserve the Hate
