It really checked all the boxes for me. It feels like witcher 3 but with stealth. Many of the side content are also engaging, especially the mysteries since I love those types of storytelling.
It's been a while since I played origins but: Story - origins since it felt more personal and the Shadya quest broke me. But I havent finished Valhalla story yet (im 135 hours in already and havent touched the dlcs yet. Except the Kassandra one. So it might change, i dunno. Combat - Valhalla just feels great with those finishers and abilities. It felt brutal and satisfying. Stealth - it could be the same. But Valhalla has social stealth and assassinating some Order members made me feel like the grim reaper lol ( like in 3:40 in this vid)
@EivorAll-Father nice rage bait if that was your intention. if not, i half agree. if you look at AC1 kingdom and specially later games like unity, AC was aways meant to have a compoment of exploration, openess to traverse the map, and eventually, it should become something like an open-world RPG. However, i personally dislike odissey and valhalla, and i think AC was best in its ac1-revelations era, with the exception being unity, which i really like. if you like the rpg trilogy though, its up to you, but i feel like it should at least not have the assassins creed label.
Valhalla has some of the most complex stealth areas in the series and doesn't have the issue of randomized patrols like Origins and Odyssey, I think it's one of the best in the series for ghosting. I never had an issue with the bugs but apparently a lot of people have had to deal with instantly being detected even through walls.
Well yeah thats kind of the issue. It is extremely dull, repetitive and easy. There is no skill whatsoever and stealth always feels like an afterthough in this game. But that can be said about the whole game tbh. Its the only game I've ever player where I fell asleep in the middle of playing it just because of how bland and empty it is. Good on you if you enjoy it though, I'm glad you're having fun!
I love Valhalla and I’m a bit sad that so many people hate it it’s cool to show them your videos so they can see how cool this game can be! Also that’s a great title for the video!
I think people in the later time will appreciate this game just like they did with every other Ac game now days everyone says that ac Valhalla is trash despite not playing this game I finished the game and I loved it I mean yeah its no master piece but when was an Ac game a masterpiece I’ll give this game an 8/10
The stealth is pretty much discouraged in this game your first armor set is combat based , your takedowns take forever enough to get spotted, you get spotted and alerted way to easily since it's not a layer stleath system like the old games and to show some proof of this there is a achievement/trophy on ps4 and xbox for get 10 undected kills in a row and they both are classified as rare meaning the community doesn't do stealth since it's just doesn't work out
Amazing mate. I have ended playing Valhalla for the second time recently and sure, the stealth system has its flaws and its kinda simple but effective. Also its kinda engaging with the music, the Middle Ages vibes and that contrast between the viking and Hidden One-ish soul of Eivor Man i wish you make some videos with The Hidden One Set cuz there is not many out here. Your ghost stealth playstyle is top level. Valhalla is a really good game if you can handle all its content and if you experience it calmly. Of course, you have gain a sub. Im eager to see more of your work!
This is not what most people mean by stealth. What they really mean is a working detection system like Mirage's and being able to wipe out all the guards without being discovered, that's why Valhalla's stealth is fundamentaly broken, or to put it better, unfocused. Moreover, for two years the hood would go down Eivor's head whenever she got detected, and that didn't helped because it was so immersion breaking and annoing, but luckly that was fixed, even if more than two years later. That being said, I love Valhalla as a viking game, it's beautiful in that sense, but as an AC game, I hate it, definitelly not a good AC game. I hated it when I played it and the expansions, but if I get the chance to ever play it again in the future, I will consider it as a viking non AC game so I can enjoy it more at what it is better at.
People forget Valhalla stealth is akin to AC1 its supposed to be thought out and methodical and slow using blending and distraction opportunities to slip by. Those that complain ab stealth are just not great at the system because I’ve never had detection issues
before the updates; guards could spot you through walls. the stealth "was" non-existent. now, idk. but this video shows me that they've fixed a few things. thanks G. might play it again someday
Yeah while they don’t spot you through walls quite anymore (I say “quite” because for some reason they still do if it’s a corner) they still, for some reason, spot you either miles away and/or directly above them even though that makes 0 sense
Watching you play makes me want to give this game another try. The stealth detection system is just so punishing & ridiculous sometimes idk how u get around it
I play on the normal/default difficulty and the issue I tend to encounter is the occasional instant detection. But overall, I find stealth fun and it works. Especially when I'm not fully ghosting an area since I can stealth kill consistently.
You could customize the detection to be slower. Valhalla is great for giving us custom difficulty. I play on nightmare with Eivor take 200% damage but also did the same to enemy. Which mean Eivor become glasscanon
I really wish they brought back the ability to manually put your hood up. I really loved that feature in Valhalla. Honestly one of the best features, just wish it would stay on when toggled no matter if you’re in conflict or not. Also as a side note I played as male Eivor because I could not miss out on all the cool beards in the game.
I wouldn't say Valhalla was bad in any way when it came to combat and stealth but is still felt like a drag having to go around the map trying complete all the overwhelming content
I hate the skill tree ain't even a tree its a whole jungle 500 lvl is way too much. Having max lvl 30 would been better. And DLC add another 10 so in total you'll be lvl 50.
While I do agree that the game does tend to encourage combat over stealth, it's still up to the player. This is a single player game after all. METAs are really not that important and we can play the way we want.
People are used to being able to just run up to guards and them having the brain of a slug XD i've done alot of stealth in the game, and every time i got caught, it's cause i poked my head out directly in front of a guard
I saw this one ESL guy playing valhalla and doing some absolutely insaaaane stealth. utilizing every abiliy in his wheel and doing weapon assassinations and shit. valhalla's stealth is only bad in that enemies can insta-detect the shit out of you and aggro not only themselves but every fucking dude in the outpost. sometimes you just get bullshit detections
It's a good game but what killed the fun is the boss fights they are so arcadish in away they survive brutal attacks on patch 1.80 I used to lower enemies health bar to the lowest option and increasing their damage to 200 just to make the game feel more brutal I only which to lower eviors health bar but there's no option for that he is so arcadish but the game is good when fighting regular enemies
Excellent gameplay but the animations are slow, the parkour is too weighty and the lack of tools & stealth orientated level design leaves so much to be desired. I love Valhalla’s vibe, but I feel like had they focused more on stealth and possibly a main assassin character, everything would’ve been way better
It's the same as the previous games. It's even similar to AC 1 and 2, the scale is just larger. Almost all AC games have areas and moments where combat is forced. The only games that probably doesn't have these are the chronicle ones.
@@TheMaudeth I know that a lot of ac forced combat what I tried to say was the map design. The location u showed really looks fun to stealth in but there are a lot of locations where there aren’t. I know that the stealth in the older acs wasn’t that strong (just replaying them) but tbf tho social stealth was the focus (even tho not always good executed) and if u didn’t even had that as an option then they at least designed the location and enemies to be more like a puzzle than stealth how we know. But yeah just subscribed to u saw ur other vids and they are good. What’s ur fav ac so far ???
Thanks! As for faves, I have Unity and Rogue tied for 1st. Unity for overall gameplay, stealth, etc. Rogue because we get to explore templar ideas. Then Valhalla and Origins are currently tied for the 2nd place. Edit: I'd also put AC 2 and brotherhood in 2nd. (Kindof hard to decide really)
Listen everyone’s entitled to enjoying what they want there’s nothing wrong with that…. BUT EVERYONE BETTER ADMIT THE ANIMATIONS IN THIS GAME ARE ASSSS 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
its pretty fun seeing you enjoy this game that the majority of the community hates.
It really checked all the boxes for me. It feels like witcher 3 but with stealth.

Is it better (especially quests ) than origins ? I struggle with lrvel capping i am in dlc but level 37 :(@@TheMaudeth

I enjoyed. A lot of the community are just way to nostalgic for the older games. I love them all but Valhalla definitely has its own charms.
I always loved the vibe of stealth in Valhalla. The area, architecture, soundtrack, the cloak!
oh yeah, the huge cloak with zero physics, great work ubisoft!
The cloak was a smart addition
It does well to hide your weapons as as making you look like a regular traveller
@EivorAll-FatherOrigins cloth phisics where great
I started playing AC when the first one came out... I loved that one and every title all the way to Valhalla! Such an amazing series!
Me too Valhalla is my favorite
Hyped for Shadows?? Looks awesome, just a bit unpolished but I'm hella excited to see the final build of the game
but origins story is the best from the mythology series
Valhalla has some of the most complex stealth areas in the series and doesn't have the issue of randomized patrols like Origins and Odyssey, I think it's one of the best in the series for ghosting. Some people approach the objectives brainlessly and then complain ThIs gAmE hAs nO StEaLtH 😢😂
Yup, skill issue
Or just rush 😂 and not staying out of sight

Great game. Most people hate this game because they think they’re supposed to hate it, not bc they actually hate it.
It's a huge upgrade from Odyssey. This is from me who like Odyssey.
for me i liked Odyssey and Orgins and im excited to play Valhalla, which i am going to try soon.
Amazing mate. I have ended playing Valhalla for the second time recently and sure, the stealth system has its flaws and its kinda simple but effective. Also its kinda engaging with the music, the Middle Ages vibes and that contrast between the viking and Hidden One-ish soul of Eivor

I knew you would take a liking to Valhalla when I found your stuff a year ago
I regret not playing this game sooner. I love it!
People forget Valhalla stealth is akin to AC1 its supposed to be thought out and methodical and slow using blending and distraction opportunities to slip by. Those that complain ab stealth are just not great at the system because I’ve never had detection issues
This^. After the 10-hour mark, I realized that the "stealth is bad" comment was a skill issue.
before the updates; guards could spot you through walls. the stealth "was" non-existent. now, idk. but this video shows me that they've fixed a few things. thanks G. might play it again someday

When stealth works in Valhalla it fuckin works
I'd rather say this on my main account - Stealthful, but hey. This is what I like to see! Well done.
You can take the viking out of the assassin but you'll never take the assassin out of the viking, huh?
Its actually great. I enjoy raiding with stealth. Be antimainstream viking lmao
thanks for posting this! I love this game, its such shame many dont
Many do love it
You will be surprised that so many ppl love valhalla

Maintenant tu peux activer la capuche constamment même en étant en combat. C’est dans les options

the steatlh itself is not bad however the game does not encourage to take that path instead of just going berserker
While I do agree that the game does tend to encourage combat over stealth, it's still up to the player.

This game was amazing... I only wish for a NG+
Agree! Wonder why they can't add NG+

Man im gonna Miss eivor
bro cook so hard
I'm curious, is this gothic armor set ?
I'm using the magistrate set
Tbh it’s really a hit or miss in this game locations like this are really fun to stealth but the majority really aren’t
It's the same as the previous games. It's even similar to AC 1 and 2, the scale is just larger.

use male character, hes aesthetically better.
