Very true Mr Amish... You have explained the situation with intense clarity of what's happening in your profession.
Just imagine what the common man
    has to go through.
I have had a very good education from the best school's and college with the blessings of my parents. While in school I really had bright ideas and dreams and wanted to do my bit for this country.
Fast forward 25 years and I'm sick and tired of the way businesses work in our country. You have to grease each and every palm that crosses your way while getting things done.
The dreams I had in school and college are shattered to tiny bits because I always argued with my father that why he should bribe anyone even when everything is according to law, but the sad reality is he is no more and I am being asked the same question by my children who have grown up today.
Will this ever change....I do not know

Policing system or the bureaucracy in general is inherently corruptible. We're sold an idea of 'ideal system' but only those who deal with it or are part of it for that matter know keeping up integrity & principles is hard, let alone facilitated.
PatalLok has this dialogue. It goes like "Door se dekhne mein ye system ek kachre ka dher lagta hai, lekin andar ghus ke dekho toh it's a well oiled machine. Har purze ko pata hai ki usey kya karna hai aur jo purza kaam nahin karta, usey badal diya jata hai."

ITS THE RESULT ORIENTED APPROACH... IF THE MECHANICS OF JUSTICE IS LIKE THAT....THEN... WHY TO WORRY MUCH ABOUT BEYOND THE SYSTEM... means...GET UP...STAND UP... GREASE THE PALM...AND FINALLY FINISH THE TASK...AND RELAX 😌🙌😎... BUT....
REMEMBER NO INNOCENT PERSONS SHOULD BE PROSECUTED AT THE EXPENSE OF THE WHIMS AND FANCIES OF THE RICH PEOPLE WHILE USING BRIBE OR ANY CORRUPT MEANS...MEANS ETHICAL TREATMENT SHOULD BE PROPORTIONATE TO THE JOB....

I have known of cases where the "bribe" that is demanded of state level services aspirants is marrying some top govt person's daughter/ niece/ relative. It is not always money that's exchanged.
Of course, a woman civil services aspirant might even have to face a worse situation.
I hope young people trying to get into top jobs understand how complex the process is and aren't in delusion about the world. Be prepared to have your morals questioned at every step of the way. Try not to become jaded though.

At that time, i was shocked and i gave in. Till this day i regret giving him money for doing his job, but i have realised they always try to get something out of the lawyers, and as a law student and soon to be a lawyer, what should i do ? Giving a tip is opposite to bribe. A tip enhances your self-worth as opposed to giving a bribe, which degrades your self-worth.
At age 17, a policeman confiscated my bicycle for wrong parking. As far as I was concerned the bicycle had been stolen. I went to the nearby police station to lodge a complant. The policeman there showed me my bike, explained the reason thereof but refused to give it back. I suspected that he was seeking a bribe but I pretended to be an innocent lad, dyed-in-the-wool types and played along. I enquired of him of the procedure for getting my bike back. He explained that the matter will go to court after a challan had been prepared in a few days and thereafter when the due procedure is completed, the bike shall be released in compliance of the court order.
I complained that that was ridiculous in a free country and refused to believe him. And insisted on seeing his superior officer. After some reluctance, he said the DSP has the power to issue release order at his discretion.
Where can I meet the DSP? I said.
He's at his bungalow. He replied.
Give me the address of his bungalow, I insisted. As a public servant, he's duty bound to attend to the issue during working hours.
By now, the man was harrassed enough by that stupid boy who refused to get a hint and released my bicycle with a stern warning.
    Episode number 2:
Recently my daughter needed police clearance as a part of immigrating to Canada. The SHO police station told her and her husband that the clearance shall be given by CID. Office of the CID was in another part of Mumbai. They requested him to get an appointment over the phone, which he refused. He could have easily done that though. My daughter and son in law suspected that he was seeking a bribe. And they sought my help as to how to give him a bribe. I suggested that you don't suspect him but respect him and meticulously do what he says. They went to the office of the CID, presented the form there and explained the matter. After checking their records on computer, they got the clearance within 5 minutes.
    Moral of the story:
    Respect, don't suspect.
It helps NOT to know the 'ways of the world'.
Never bribe ANYONE but keep everyone happy by giving tips, greetings, compliments & gifts.
When you bribe someone, you crush your soul.

    Hi sir,
I have my sister (a Hindu) who is looking forward to marry a christian man.
This christian man says that she would be free to practise her Hindu faith after marriage but I know how the church puts pressure on the Christian family to convert the Hindu spouse to christianity and gets the non Christian spouse to sign a pre-nup which says that the child borne out of such wedlock would exclusively be required to follow Christianity...
Sir, I don't believe in words and the party can put pressure on my sister to convert which she herself does not want and wants her future children to not have any legal pressure to be brought up like a christian exclusively. She wants her children to have the freedom and herself have the freedom of practice of religion....
Sir, if you can kindly guide us as to how to go about it, I will be very grateful to you.

Many times, corrupt person don't even talk about bribe, he just delay your work as long as he/she can.
For me it's too difficult to ask what he is up to. How to ask him. How much you want etc.

Disappointed!!!.....no matter how difficult it is to work without bribing, you had the power of social media and your followers, you should have told them the way to go around bribing..no matter how difficult and long it may be....atleast this way the cops will have to work their ass off for each person they ask bribe from

The real success of India will be achieved when the government fully reforms the Indian judiciary system to mirror the French system, as opposed to the anglosaxon empire's judiciary system we currently have.
the only way India can advance steadily and swiftly is by humanising the powerful individuals.only law and order can achieve this feat

We have just been ranked 86th in world corruption index and 53rd in democratic freedom, and I think on the ground things are correspondingly much worse, corruption isn't even a thing of vice in our value system, our deeply flawed education system is to be largely blamed for this

Government job is becoming scarce in india . If a person gets a government job and if the police asks for some money he should come to an understanding and give some money . The job seeker will be enjoying full government benefits and life is well settled for an government employee .

Please make a video on traffic stops specifically fundamental rights during such stops like right to remain silent, not stepping out of car (as officer has no warrant to search or arrest and forcing indian to do anything without consent or warrant would be violiation of right to Liberty and moving freely in country), only showing documents when demanded but not handing over documents (at times without reason they impound such docs to harass people)

ROOT OF CORRUPTION STARTS FROM THE JUDGES, ADVOCATES, JUDICIARY, POLICE AND ALL DEPARTMENTS, EVERY PUBLIC SERVANT IS NOT AFRAID OF DOING CORRUPTION, TAKING BRIBES, THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE PUNISHMENT, NON BIASED TRAIL, DELAY OF JUSTICE MADE EVERY INDIAN PUBLIC SERVANT CORRUPT LAZY IRRESPONSIBLE AND ARROGANT.

We need to add layer of Decentralization , Imagine Decentralization media, that has right evidence, Not even the highest power into the govt or system can tamper it ,But doing this has one side effect people will lose faith in the judiciary , alternative all people in systems should be brought under spiritual process compulsorily and should be sent to retreat twice a year.

So...d moral of d story is, work progresses in courts ONLY when money changes hands.
It is definitely frightening for new advocates. Even before one starts earning, one has to learn who to pay and how much... for getting things move smoothly.
