Did you know the reason the first train is sitting where it is and out of use is because it’s not a narrow gauge locomotive? It can’t run on the tracks at Dollywood.
Personally, I’ll take both. They both have their ups and downs. Dollywood’s got the bigger size, better looking tracks, steeper grades, and resultantly better shows with the engines, and Tweetsie’s got the variety of events, the acknowledgement and celebration of their ET&WNC heritage, and the 12 which started it all.
7 inch Crosby’s were never produced. The most common sizes were 3, 4, 5, or 6 inch Crosby’s. But they did also make 8 inch Crosby’s too which were found on southern PS4 locomotives
I love Tweetsie more because I grew up with that train it was inspiring now I wanna be a worker at Union Pacific and maybe chack out the big boy!
