CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Darry (Justin Long) and Trish (Gina Philips) are nearly run off the road by an aggressive truck driver.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Writer/director Victor Salva returns to his horror roots with this teen-slasher genre flick, one of several 2001 films produced by Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope studio. Gina Philips and Justin Long are siblings Trish and Darry, road tripping home from college across the U.S. and bickering all the way. Menaced by a truck on the highway, the travelers encounter the same vehicle later, and what they believe is a man dumping a human body into a drainage pipe. Investigating, Darry and Trish become the intended prey of an indestructible, supernatural creature hell-bent on eating them, a murderous local myth that is proving to be all too real. As they attempt to escape their bloodthirsty pursuer, the pair discovers that even the local police station is no refuge; they also receive some advice from a knowledgeable psychic (Patricia Belcher). Jeepers Creepers co-stars Eileen Brennan.

The first half of this movie was pure brilliance. You just had no clue what was going on or where this guy came from. Almost would have been better if they didn’t bring that character into the middle of the movie to basically explain everything.
I thought the same thing. When I saw this in 2001 I thought that this was like the old movies. The sad thing is not too long after this 911 happen and it seems like the world changed movies changed life changed all just in general in my opinion.
Interestingly enough, The Director said it Himself that He was under pressure to give a complete Origin Story for The Creeper but ultimately decided against it because He felt that The Creeper would be much more intimidating if next to nothing was known about Him, and other than His feeding cycle 23 Days every 23rd Spring we LITERALLY no nothing else regarding how He came into existence, personally I always believed that The Creeper was a Demon/Fallen Angel

The whole sister/brother relationship was so well written and acted. I literally cried when he took Darry, yea he was dumb but the guy had a good heart. I so felt bad for trish.
That's what I like about him, I thought he was stupid but I didn't want him to get killed because he has a good heart
Yeah seeing Darry meet His Death at the hands of The Creeper always bummed Me out, another part of what's so unsettling is knowing that The Creeper took Darry that Night but didn't kill Him and take His eyes until the following Morning, it's just so eerie to think of how terrifying and painful Darry's final moments must've been like, maybe while He was in The Creeper's new Lair/House Of Pain He was hoping against hope maybe He would be rescued only to finally resign Himself to the fact that He was indeed going to Die "Screaming in the Dark" just as Jezelle had predicted
Darry wasn't the dumb one, duhh

Creepy as heck right.
I'm sure a million others have said this, but the shot of the truck appearing over the crest of the road and getting closer and closer is a stroke of genius. No music, no weird sounds. Just one sibling poking fun at another and the audience starting to hold their breath.
Say it anyway. You're so right.
Where the hell does he get his gas? Does a demon just rock up to station with a stolen credit card?

Fun fact: This was based on a real event, this old couple was driving in the middle of nowhere and this man driving a van to pass them, the couple had a game of making up names for license plates, and the plate said "Jeez" because he was in a hurry, but that's not the only thing, the couple saw the driver, near an abandoned School dumping a body wrap around in a pile of bloody sheets, the man saw them and follow them until they went their paths, the couple checks what the man dump and they saw blood everywhere and they called the police, but the man killed himself before he could get arrested.

That part always low key freaked me out when I was a kid matter of fact it still freaks me out now. I wanna see a creeper movie with Kenny and Darla starring in it. And explain how the creeper got that truck. And also explain what happen to that church that he resides under. Then it leads to Kenny and Darla who get stranded. Then they die after trying to make a break for it for the last time. And of course they not found. Then at the end it shows darry and Trish leaving to be seen in the first jeeper creepers. And to make the movie stand out give it a another name. To make the movie unexpected a lil bit.

Did anybody notice the RV turning off in the background just before their encounter with the demon? That was epic!
Seriously did they think they was gonna have a pleasant road trip driving on those desolate country roads?
Fun fact, the movie was shot in Florida, around the Gainsvilles area. Just north east of Tampa. Been through that very area where they shot this scene and it does kinda feel like the midwest for abit.
@@lovejetfuel4071 Yep this was filmed in Sumter county. Friend of mine is from there. Extremely rural
I live right near the actual location where they filmed this particular scene. It's SW 180th Avenue Rd in Dunnellon Florida. It's a 5.5 mile stretch of country road just outside of town. In real life, the general area is somewhat rural, but not nearly as remote and far from civilization as it appears in the film. Sometimes I will drive the road at night just for fun if I'm in the area.
The first half of this movie was so well-done. A masterclass in character development, build-up, suspense, mystery, and dread. The second half was good too but in a more campy B-movie kind of way.

Who else is waiting for Jeepers creepers 4 ??
if it's anything like number 3...no thanks
No one after the 3ed one
Me...
Jc3 pissed me off, damn near a generation goes by and we still don't know what this thing is
Athul BC I am, I just want to know where he came from. The only thing we got in JC3, is that “he’s ancient”/“how much bigger it is”. My theory is that he’s a demon of some sort, given the fact he’s got bat like wings, can call his weapons back to him upon command (as seen in JC2/3) and that his truck can drive by itself, with him on it or elsewhere. + the fact that in this movie, he likes to decorate his lair with the bodies of his victims all over the walls/ceiling, like that of the “Sistine Chapel”-Darry/JC1. I also find it coincidentally similar to that of the devil, I mean look at it this way, “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,”-Revelation 20:7. Just like that of the Creeper, who is allowed to do the same, just more frequently, every 23yrs for 23 days. But that’s just me.
Ahh 2001.. when they made better horror movies. The part after where the creeper is dumping the bodies down the tube is disturbing and creepy as hell. As if we're right there seeing what Darry and Trish are seeing for the first time. This movie was so well written with suspense and terror
