- I had a chance to hop on a video call with Hoyt Archery's Steve Anderson to discuss the new Hoyt Stratos target bow. Steve goes into detail on how the new HBT cam differs from the SVX cam, how the riser compares to the Hoyt Invicta, and helps me pick out the right Stratos to test this year.

Lucas or Steve, being the HBT cam is a 3 track binary cam system, have either of you noticed the cables in your sight picture, through your peep?

I've not noticed this...but if you ask my wife, I don't notice a lot things. I will check this out next time I shoot this bow and report back.

The reason i ask is because i have had a different bow, with a 3 track binary cam system and when i was shooting it outside at longer distances, that became an issue for me.
It could have been a form issue on my end as well, i didnt notice it shooting indoors, just outdoors.

@@jimhuttel2193 Just checked at 20 and 70 yards. No cables in my sight picture. However, I’m running a small scope (29mm) and a small aperture on my peep (3/64” I think). If I try, I can see the cable just outside my scope. With a large scope, it may cross into it by a hair.

Bow technology has peaked imo. The main thing in play is ease of tuning and user friendly setup with out expensive equipment like a bow press. A couple feet per second, slightly smoother draw, fraction less hand shock are not going to get people to spend over a thousand dollars. Manufacturers are chasing performance improvements that are so slight they are not even noticeable by the average archer.
Don't underestimate design and some special colors. People would switch if optics is better.
