Today 99% of the refs will give a red card for things like this. But no front, Croatia is a great football nation, i like them a lot, especially today.
That was never a red card, he is not the last man, the player is around 70 yards from goal and running sideways and the tackle isn't particularly bad, the referee has to understand the occasion and the impact brandishing that needless red has on the game.
