- In the summer of 2018 the World Cup was played. It was for the first time in history that Croatia reached the Final of the World Cup. They ended up losing to France losing 4-2. Luka Modric won the Ballon D'or thanks to these performances. Enjoy this video!

I can't believe that Croatia was so close to losing against Brazil. Literally three minutes before the end of the match and they tied 1-1 with Brazil, which they then won the Penalty rounds.

Croatia had the craziest way to the finals. Topped their group easily but then penalties against Denmark in round of 16, penalties vs the hosts in quarter finals. Won against England in the semi's in extra time. And all that just to lose to France 4-2 in the final 😢

As a small country we're used to being ripped off by the referees. On top of that France basically only has imported players, cheating all the way.

I'm so proud of this team. I'm born and raised in Canada but my dad came over when he was 8 and brought my Grandma over permanently during the war. So I have a strong affection for this nation. For them to be so successful with a population of roughly 4-million is extraordinary. What a run. Reminds me of the '98 run where they finished 3rd.

Wrong. After i saw our nominated Squad before WC started, i said to my Brother, we go to win the WC. Players like, Modric, Rakitic, Brozovic, Perisic, Kramaric, GK Subasic played on a high Level at that Time in their Clubs. So it was not a surprise for us. Nowdays im gonna say that we are everytime one of the Top-Favorites for World Cup or UEFA Euro Cup

Man, as a Croatian, the defeat in the finals hurt me so, so, so much. But nevertheless, we won the second place in this World Cup and this could be our motivation that we will one day be World Cup Champions! With every new World Cup, our team always have a chance at winning the tournament!! Downright respect to our boys!! I am so, so, so proud of our players!!
