I have always preferred green to red curry, and have had no luck making it from scratch for lack of all the ingredients--despite living near an excellent VietThai grocery--but hearing your very precise explanation of every ingredient's purpose in the traditional recipe was invaluable instruction, and inspires me to try again sometime soon. Thanks for posting, and I wish you blessings in your new home!
