Could EASILY be the actual trailer music, love it!!
Thanks Jordan!
Great work! I was disappointed with the original trailer music, it seemed to just be flirting with the theme but never went all out like this. But you still added enough variety and twists in your own version. It's awesome!
Thanks Trevan!
It's interesting how close your style is to Brian Tyler's style because your theme is kinda similar to the actual score for the movie. But It's really great! :)
We're not worthy!! At 3:15 the big rising bass line going Mi, Fa, Sol, La... yeah, that did it for me! That's such a pop/theater add-one-last-level-of-drama-to-a-song trick! lol. Love it!
Hey thanks cuz!! I'm a SUCKER for first inversions 🤓🤓
I dont know what youre talking about so im fealing pretty jealous righ now
We NEED a full breakdown! This is INCREDIBLY good 😃
I kinda love this more than the actual score of the film
Respect brian Tyler bro
@@unknownwill4th549 Yes but also no
It's a bit too trailer-y for my taste to be an actual score for a movie.
Those first inversion chords with the rising bass line - EPIC. I've been a sucker for first inversions since I was 11 and heard the one John Williams uses at the end of the first Harry Potter film lol.
Dude this is so killer. Excellent, excellent work! Recently found your channel and it’s been so helpful for leveling up as a composer. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you, and glad to hear it 😁
They should have hired you to score the movie. So much good source material and it felt like they only used the first 7 notes in the actual film.
We need a walkthrough of this incredible piece!!! Its damn nice! love it so much!
Happy Easter ! This is an adorable composition. As far away from the original as the music allowed you to, but still recognizable. Well done!
There's 1 thing I dislike about nearly every modern score : the echo chamber. Adding echo to every instrument and to the overall sound makes all scores sound a bit similar. In mixing terms it's fast and easy, because time is money. With a lot of echo everything blends into everything, but I just wonder if you could remix the track keeping the echo and reverb down to a natural level. You can help to reverse the bad habit that started in the 90's.
This has considerably more play *with the actual Mario theme* than the actual trailers, which is appreciated. It also is a lot less... painfully loud than them. Excellent work-- would much prefer to hear this than what actually ended up in them.
Thanks Curtis!
Freaking awesome, dude! 🤯
Can I ask what Sample Sets and DAW you use?? This is friggin' amazing!
I've recently found this channel and I have to say it is a hidden gem. Composing is what I do as a hobby and from the brief content I've seen I've learnt a lot from you. This Mario track left me speechless. Bravo! :D
Fantastic as always, my friends. Very well done. Inspiration continues to flow 🤘🙏
From 3:40 to 3:52 that seems to be very inspired by Hanz Zimmer particularly The Man of Steel. I like it.
This is probably one of my channel favorites!! So good!! 🙌🏼🎉
Well, your editing made this video really good too! :D
@@hazylightsaudioThank you!! 😊
+1 , couldn't do it without you Robert!
U shouldn't work with nintendo but nintendo should work with u. Loved it fr wtf !!
YES! Awesome rhythm changes you've incorporated, definitely got your own flavor in the piece :)
Magnifique ! Quel talent !!!
Absurdly good dude. I'm normally not a fan of this cinematic style. It can feel stock and overdone at this point. But I got chills on this!!
Thanks Matt!
I think you’re a magician. I loved it.
Absolutely sick!
I haven't watched the movie yet but this sounds very good! Fits the cinematic theme with the Mario motifs so well. And that orchestral texture is amazing. Sounds like if Mario is lets-a-ing his last -GO!
Wow!! Wow!! Wowwwwww!!
Woooa so good! Great arrangements!
Celesta for the three last notes!!!
Epic and wonderful. Great job, Zach!
Truly amazing work Zach!
The midi starting at 3:40 looks like those impossible piano things that were popular back in the day 😂
This is so amazing!! 👏👏👏🔥🔥
You just keep getting better Zach!
In fact this sounds really in line with the Brian Tyler score was in the movie.
Even before watching the movie or the soundtrack I guess.
Great stuff, Zach!
Where have I been man? I was searching for this type of channel a lot. Finally, landed on you and will watch your previous videos too.
Par excellence, as usual. Top level.
Bravo! Feels so right. ♥
So good!
Love it!!
As someone who HAS heard the actual trailer music . . . this is better by far.
Amazing Zach!
Your passion exudes throughout this brilliant take on the Mario theme. Well done and thank you for sharing this with us!
Beautiful orchestrated!!!❤
Great work ZACH 😃 !
This is awesome!
This is so impressive! Good job!
I love this, it’s so incredible Zach! ❤
Totally enjoyed, and it's super cool that you show that Logic window with all the parts going by
That’s great!
Very well done!
This is outstanding - love it!
\m/
sick!!! so gooood
absolutely brilliant 😄
Thats amazing Zach!
That was awesome!
I love it , great stuff
Okay dude no joke this is now my official favorite new channel
This is awesome. I've already listened to about 20 recreations of this trailer score and every single one of theme is better then the original score for the movie. I think, it's mainly because if you're not under production company you're free and don't have to put all the Inception unoriginal booming shit in every trailer and so on. You're great, thanks for your content. 😊
Thank you!
Bruh ... Just wow !
You just earned a long-term subscriber ❤️
Wonderful!!!!!
Sooooooooooooooo good!
My only gripe is that the triad motive you used in the very end is also used in the orginal "game over" jingle. Not what you'd want to imply at the end of the movie trailer haha
Great work nonetheless! Very creative but still unmistakably Super Mario.
Dude!! Wow!
Incredible!
Spectacular
That was fun to listen to! Great channel you have Zach!
Thank you!
Dude. That was SICK!
I'll be honest. Usually, when composers (especially the extremely mainstreamy ones) turn an existing theme into a trailer style track, it's generic garbage. But this one is really tasteful with an exciting development in my opinion. Makes me feel like playing next gen hyper-3d Super Mario.
what a masterpiece
Love it ❤
Made my day❤
Epic!
Sounds awesome! The dynamics look incredible, I wonder how long this would take if you had to draw them by hand without a modwheel.
Way way way too long 😂
Out of this world!!!!! 😳
You are amazing dude :D
Soo incredibly good!!! Maybe you can do a more thorough breakdown of how you made it?
Epic 🎉!
Zach,
PLEASE explain! Saw the movie and was wondering how Brian did it. This is totally spot on
The is amazing zach i love it so much x)))
Woohooooo!!! That was EPIC Zach! Got washes of goosebumps a few times for real... I'm a conductor, so I know what it feels like to drive a machine that sounds like that, but I'm in awe of people like you who can imagine those soundscapes in the first place. On a side note, where did you get that beautiful ring? I'd love to get one! Anyway, this was dope dude, and now I can go to bed myself! All best from Germany.
Thank you Kwame! And it's actually just an inexpensive black silicone ring, but thank you 😁
@@ZachHeyde Haha! I was sure you were going to say it was obsidian or ceramic. I think I’ll get one of those… 😄
Listening to this while eating breakfast before I go see the movie this morning. Grinning ear to ear when the main theme kicked in. Last few days been listening to the actual movie soundtrack but your work here is incredible. Great channel. Learning lots thank you.
Thanks so much Daniel!
Woooah beautiful ❤️😍😍
I need a full breakdown because this was amazing…
Zach, this is Amazing!!!!!!!
Greetings form Spain, I absolutely love your content
Thanks Roger!
Just listened to your soundiron podcast - awesome, and ran over here to listen to your mario theme - also awesome! Is that a numerical keypad on your desk, the blue illuminated device? What macros do you use with it? Is there a video where you go through that info?
Excellent 😎🎼
Wow!! That was incredible!
Thanks Aaron! 😁
Amazing job Zach!! Love this epic version of the theme❤ Btw, which percussion lib did you use? :)
Thanks Job! Mostly Damage 2 :)
Just wow.
Wow very nice! How long did it take for you to compose all of this?
I love it
Amazing bro!!!!
What plugins are you using?
This is actually super cool! I would love if you do one for Sonic Adventure too. Keep it up!
Fantastic am such a huge fan
Thank you!
Great work throughout! Loved it. (what are the voices samples you are using in there?)
Strezov Choir Essentials :)
And Ethera Gold for the solos!
Wow Zach
Sounds like Powellism XD. But for me it's the most complete Style for a film composer! Chapeau!
I am indeed a disciple of Powell 🤓
@@ZachHeyde Have you ever composed personal works? Powell also did so with his "Prussian requiem" and "requiem addendum". He shows a completely different style in these choral works in comparison to his film musics.
Haha, you sick man ! Very nice trailer, could easily be the real one, well done !
