Well that didn't contain any info I needed. I was looking for how you mount the brackets. The pictures on the instructions are seriously so tiny I can't actually tell which way to install it for outside the windows.

I bought the Bali "Cut-to-size" shades, and came to the part where you should be able to compress the rod.... I cant.
In this video the rod is metal, the one I have is just one long hard cardboard tube.
So here I am, shade plastic sheet is cut down to size (as it was ripping very ragged), and Ive got about 5 inches of roller that will not compress to fit down to width of plastic sheeting.
Very disappointing.

TIP (Accidentally discovered) -- Measuring is the most critical step, which is never clearly explained... If you are unsure at all about your measurement, make the "cut" mark definitely longer than needed... then you can easily shorten it one half in inch at a time until you reach a suitable width...

I have gone through 8 videos hoping someone would help explain the best way to figure out how much to cut off. I can read the rest of the instructions just fine.
