This what what Megaforce should have strived to catch the tone of, but mixed in with more than just mighty Morphin envisioning. This was what the 2017 movie WANTED to be!!! I love my kids
From my understanding of the deal, Saban could easily have pitched an adaptation of Sun Vulcan, as they own footage and adaptation rights (basically like having the rights to a cover song) to all of Sentai, even the Marvel-era stuff. This could be incorrect, however, as the complexities of the original deal and the new deal since Disney aren't entirely public knowledge. Also a factor is the Sentai/Super Sentai divide in some categorizations of the shows (depending on Giant Robots, etc).

We educate and inform newcomers to various properties and franchises in short, 101-style classes. This is our version of that for Power Rangers. Thanks for the comparison though!
They build a re-aging machine (powered by the Power Coins), but only have time to re-age Billy before the device is snatched by the baddies. The Power Coins are then destroyed by Zedd, Rita, and Goldar. Billy stays older, the other Rangers are still teens, and now the kids have to go on a Zeo Quest (setting up that Billy wouldn't be one of the core five Zeo Rangers). -Michael

Here's the thing, Due to the mention that Power Rangers solely existed as a comic book in Power Rangers Ninja Storm, many fans believed that series existed in a different universe than that of the original Power Rangers series. Fans also believed this due to the lack of a Ninja Storm/Wild Force team-up episode
We had to do a lot of condensing to fit 20 years of franchise into 8 minutes, and I think you'll agree that Lost Galaxy is one of the least effected in this episode. While it's not *about* the Lost Galaxy, the point of that section was to show that Countdown to Destruction didn't really eliminate all evil (thus eliminating the need for Rangers). As for opinions, those were the opinions of fandom at large at time of airing and after (as experienced first-hand), not necessarily our opinions.
Their are a few seasons i don't like, but, I can honestly say I love every season of Power Rangers, it's like when someone asks "Who's your Favorite Doctor?", because in the end, All the Doctors are the same man, just as all the different seasons are all the Power Rangers we grew up with and loved.
my favorite season of power rangers was turbo. it was the first season I every saw I just couldn't get enough of it. divatox was the best power rangers villain in my opinion.
oh man, I did NOT realize how few seasons of this I actually watched. Seems like I only watched season 1 & 2. Crazy how much impact that had on me as a 10/11 year old.
I really miss the unique Opening Themes for the newer Power Ranger seasons. It's nice to hear the classic "Go! Go! Power Rangers!", but it's more memorable to hear new themes to new seasons.
It shows you how buried Zeo got by what it was surrounded by when Trey nor Jason were mentioned here. The monster of MMPR behind it, and then the craters between it and Turbo in front of it. I can't help but hate and feel bad for Zeo's finale. My fave seasons are in Space, Time Force and SPD

I'm pretty surprised by the redemptive reading it's apparently gotten since it aired. I was still in that fandom back when it aired and it was generally loathed at the time as far as I could see. Seems like a lot of people love it now though. Check it out and form your own opinion. -Michael

To tie up all of the loose Ninja Storm ends, and to try to bring in a larger audience, Sloan brought back Jason David Frank and his original character, Tommy Oliver, a legendary Power Ranger, as a mentor for the Dino Thunder team as well as a fellow Power Ranger. Jason Frank has said that he did the show as a favour for Sloan.

RPM is definitely my favorite. The characters, the villains, the story, everything is done perfectly (though I'll admit that my first time watching I didn't care for Ziggy, but he grew on me). Also from RPM we have my favorite non-ranger character in the franchise in the form of the mentor, Dr. K. Also, I actually made a similar presentation to this for a panel at a convention, but due to reasons beyond my control I was unable to make the event. Awesome video guys
Power Rangers is my favourite TV series, so I've never been able to pick just one season as my number one favourite, but some of my favourite seasons are In Space, Lost Galaxy, Time Force, Dino Thunder, SPD and RPM.
We prefer to avoid that one, mainly because it's sad, but also considering the recent controversy over the Power Rangers Trivial Pursuit game asking a question about it.

Sun Vulcan was actually part of Toei's deal with Marvel, so there's pretty much no (legal) way Saban pitched it. Maybe they were referring to the Marvel deal and didn't have time to go into details?
Great episode guys. A good and brief look back at the franchise. At first I thought it was odd that you added opinion to it but in the end, I think it helps direct people to quality seasons. Good side notes as well, though a mention of the origins of the White Ranger suit would have been interesting. As for my favorite, that's a toughy. Its a toss between In Space, Lost Galaxy and Time Force, with RPM very close in tow. MMPR S1 holds a special place since it is the original.

Although it was Power Rangers Lost Galaxy that got me into it, I like the entire Zordon-era. I think that whole era is might favorite franchise, including Power Rangers Turbo. Power Rangers in Space is possibly my favorite, but I really like Power Rangers Zeo. Turbo is, however, growing on me. The original series is also fantastic.
My favorite season is SPD. Funnily enough, my favorite Sentai series is Dekaranger, which SPD got it's footage from; It helps that SPD isn't just Dekaranger with a whiter cast.
I thought the best was spd but my fav was space. Spd had filler ep but we soon find out that all them filler ep were actually vital to the story. Space was epic.
Original Mighty Morphin for me as I grew up with it, but I did enjoy Lightspeed Rescue and SPD. I haven't watched any Power Ranger since Ninja Storm. I came back to watch Megaforce only because of how awesome Gokaiger was and I need to see what they do with it.
There's another problem with that, the original group of main villains did NOT come from the lost galaxy. Also, wasn't RPM more well-received than most of the Disney-Era power rangers series?
I watched this all the way up to "In Space" and just dropped off. My absolute fave PRs had to be the ones from the first Movie. Tommy was the best IMO. I had the zeo weapons set that combined into a massive gun cannon thing, yeah I miss it.
As an fan of both Super Sentai and Power Rangers it's tough to chose my favorite season....But I suppose it's either In Space or Lost Galaxy since those of the ones i remember the most.

Yeah the overall story, plot and everything going on with Jungle Fury (besides the main three’s morphers) was amazing.

SPD was my favourite western Power Rangers series. Even more than the original MM.
Doesn't say anything bad about operation overdrive but calls Jungle Fury lackluster

How do you mean? The franchise is based on Japanese Super Sentai, but the Power Rangers property is American in origin.

Definitely the first season of Power Rangers before Lord Zedd. But Lord Zedd character is unique and gives me the creeps before
