@@MagneticNerdsCreate well my wallet is going hate me because of this video! I’m currently outside hobby lobby about to go in and buy some! I’ve never worked with it but what you did here is just amazing, so I have to try it! 🤣🤣🤣
This is so awesome! I'm actually just about to start my third attempt to build Audrey II as a Halloween (or let's be real, year-round) decoration. I don't have access to some of the tools/materials you did, but this was still SO inspirational and gave me great ideas of what I can do for mine. Thanks for posting!
This is fantastic, I am hoping to make one a quite a bit bigger. I was going to use 10 mm Eva foam for the head, do you think that will be too thick or will it support a bigger head?
' purchased pattern from Kamui, but could you please tell me what size you used? I noticed you scotch-taped a little extra on the ends...I'm guessing 12 inches or so??? I bought all the supplies during PrimeDays, and plan on following along w/ your video. ' not trying to butter you up, but of all the DIY "Man-Eating Plant" videos on UA-cam, yours is hands-down my favorite. Thnx!!
6:50 for plants i suggest giving them a base warm or cool colour white tends to destroy the organic look and really toon paint. But using a base of yellow or blue or red can really make the layered colours richer for when you do washes.
One fun organics technique i use is to hang the pieces in a misting box. using a fishpump to cycle watered down paint out a fine myster and i set up a timer to go off every few hours to turn the pimp on for 60seconds. Then let it go over night (if it even needs it "bigger parts"). if i want to mix colours i have separate colour temperature devices going off, aimed at the part. sometimes the distance needs adjusting or the part needs a dip before misting to gradient everything, sometimes even having the tips slightly under the liquid in the catchment. (the box feeds all the misted liquid into a separate vat, for when i want to use BROWN on anything. You can get some really grimy looks with the offruns of multiple paints lol
I really love this, but wish you showed more on how you did the stem, did you cover it with foam clay and paint? What all did you do to it to give it that look?
@@MagneticNerdsCreate Thank you! Me and my girlfriend are going as Seymour and Audrey for halloween and I wanted a Audrey II prop, but I was worried time-wise if it would've been better to just buy something, But now i'm really exited! 100% going to use this as a guide!
Everyone needs to see this project!!!! Awesome results!!! Love this Audrey II!!!! ❤😊❤
You are the best! Thank you so so much!
I can't get over how perfect the facial expression is, especially since it doesn't have a face 🤣
This is so awesome!! the paint job especially tuned out really great!!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 😊😊😊
Incredible video! I really enjoyed the long shot of carving the scales into foam with the hot knife. Very satisfying.
😊😊😊
He looks fantastic. Great job!
Thanks a bunch!
I can hear it saying Feed me real low! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful creature, amazing paint job, and entertaining video. Absolutely subscribing.
Why thank you so much!!!
Wish I watched this before I started mine! I never even thought Eva foam for the head! Genius!
This came out perfect
Thanks!!!!
It is crazy what you can do with EVA foam. I often forget how handy it can be as well.

You’re very welcome! It’s such a great feeling when I can be an inspiration to fellow crafters.
@@MagneticNerdsCreate Absolutely! I can't wait to watch more of your videos, this is my first time seeing your channel :)
This is literally fantastic looking and a brilliant tutorial! Thank you for making this!!!
Thank you oh so very much!!!😊😊😊
You get the like for tow reasons: I like this project and how you did it, and you did GREAT on the stop action animation!
Thank you so much!
Great details! Thanks for sharing!
THIS IS AMAZING! i literally dont know what else to say! FANTASTIC!!!
Thank you so so much! 😊😊😊
Can I just please quote the movie? Okay I'm going to do it! " Feed me Seymour!"

Thank you so much! 10mm should work just fine. Especially with easy access to denser foams these days. 10mm should be perfect for a huge Audrey 2
Wow love this. I’m going try one double the size. Wish me luck.
Thank you so much!!! And good luck! We’d love to see pics when it’s done!
@@MagneticNerdsCreate will do : )
12:00 i would LOVE to see you just make strange plants, alien plants etc
That is an excellent idea!
This is amazing!!

Interesting🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 may have to try that one out.
Wow
What tool do you use to carve tge scales. We've tried two different heat tools from the craft store with little to no luck. Help!!
I use a wood burning tool I bought at harbor freight.
5:36 .... YOUR NAILS!! I WANT THEM! how did you DO THAT?!
Thank you! I did them myself 😊😊😊😊 I have a plethora of UV nail polish. So I can really do an insane amount of different effects.
Where did you find the teeth? I've been working on my Audrey for months and can't get these teeth right to save my life!
I made them!
4:45 ... my fingers would be exhausted!
I really love this, but wish you showed more on how you did the stem, did you cover it with foam clay and paint? What all did you do to it to give it that look?
Thank you so much! For the stem I wrapped a PVC pipe in EVA foam and then painted it.
Hey, thanks for responding. How did you attach it to the pvc? Contact cement?
Yes. I used contact cement.
Yes, good old contact cement.
Do u sell these?! I NEED one!! 😍
8:30 Ooo whats that brush? i need one of those.
How long did this take to make?
It took me about a week and a half…..but my times skewed a bit because I was filming. So that slowed the process.

I don’t see a link in the description for the pattern. Do you have that?
I completely forgot to add that link, but it is up now. Thank you for reminding me.
@@MagneticNerdsCreate thanks!
good evening, I paid for the sphere pattern through paypal and the download did not work...several trys...said network error. Could you help please.
You will have to contact Kamui Cosplay. I purchased the pattern through them. Fortunately they are very helpful and understanding.
Tell me you need a 3D printer without telling me you need a 3D printer!
I actually have two 3D printers. Sometimes, I enjoy making projects WITHOUT 3D printers.
No true artist or crafter NEEDS a 3d printer.
It's a useful tool.
But it is only necessary if you lack talent
is it so hard to say "costume-play"??
