It looks like you gave the clients what they asked for. The light and bright definitely makes the room feel more spacious. Keep shining.. you definitely have a great eye
The transformation is amazing. I think beige/cream tones are still the best. I initially didn't like the living room wall unit, but of course, once Reynard was completed with the design it looks great and it provides very necessary storage.
Couldn’t agree more with one of the comments here. This feels like half hearted effort - would love to know what happens to second bedroom and the entrance?! These were featured in your other makeover videos.
An elegant apartment. The joinery is the showstopper! The only thing l'd do differently is to have an oval or curved edged rectangular dining table that accommodates 6 chairs. The round table with 4 chairs has enough space but add a 5th chair and the dining table will feel squashed. How did you style the second bedroom?
Hi Reynard, I recently subscribed and am working my way through your videos. I love what you have done here and I'm sure your clients must be thrilled with how it all came together. I live in an old 2 storey townhouse with a small combined lounge and dining, your videos have given me some ideas for my place that I'm starting to refresh, I had no idea what to do, but like your thoughtful style, and so thank you for always giving really good explanations on your design choices. It's so nice to see local aussie channels and talent. Thank you again ☺️
Fantastic!!! I missed the 2nd bedroom getting decorated I get the measurements about lifts in apartment buildings Loved the colour and textures. Cheers 🥂
I’ve seen boxy, square sofas paired with round coffee table to balance out the shapes. What about rounded sofas? What would you recommend to balance it? 🙂
Hey Reynard, love your videos. Would you be able to make a video breaking down the apps and tools you use when working on a project like this. If you already have a video like this, please share the link :)
This is stunning 🙌 please tell me where you've sourced the artwork from- especially the one above the sofa - so calm and tranquil I need it in my home 🙏
Hey Reynard, I've watched your videos for a while, and have learnt a huge amount from them - I particularly like your stuff about low-maintenance easy cleaning tips on bathrooms, sinks, etc. You are a total legend!!! I am so sorry that the first time I comment on a video of yours it is negative (but it isn't that always the way lol?). I just wanted to say, I think behind the circular table having random art work on the wall (by the thermostat?) that is then blocked by a light and books/plant feature on the thing (not sure what it is called - desk/cupboard?) by the wall looks bad.
Can you make a video on accent lighting? How to automate it? Lamps are expensive and looking for budget friendly idea for lighting around the house while also hiding the lighting. To brighten dark corners or diffuse lighting without seeing the source maybe?
@@Turtletoots3 that's absolutely a big factor! I didn't mention it because I think the same furniture could have been set in a better way. Or better pieces costing the same money. Not a dig on the clients, if you have no clue you can call a professional (if you can afford it) or do research online.
My brother just moved out, we are now challenging ourselves with fitting out the house, with as much "free" stuff as possible. This means that sometimes we have to sacrifice colour and scale until we find something better fitting. Not everyone has the time to research and learn about furniture placement and clearances required for aesthetically pleasing outcome.
Hey Reynard! I'm loving you videos I just came across you after purchasing a new condo. I'm wondering if you have any of these makeovers or videos about ground floor condo units? I'd love to know the best ways to get around how ground floor units have less natural lighting and less privacy.
No ground floor condo unfortunately. It's challenging bcs you can do skylights if it's a house (or add more windows), but obv not possible with a condo. I'd say light filtering window furnishings (so light filter roller or roman shades, or sheer curtains), or look into frosted window privacy film (they'll still let light through, but gives you privacy). Some companies sell them with really beautiful handmade patterns if you're into that. Otherwise I'd suggest hedging plants on the outer most part closest to the street if that's possible.
Amazing makeover! I love all the design and architectural choices (especially the tv cabinet and storage), but accessory wise, the Tom Ford book with the round sculpture and the Hermes blanket feel very generic and have been done and redone to the core.
YAAAAAAS A NEW HOUSE TO HOME EPISODE. Reynard, my short-term life goal is to purchase a cute condo, commission you and fly you out to Los Angeles, and hand you my credit card so you can go wild.
This one was disappointing. You start by telling us that you are “transforming this 2 br apartment” showing the whole layout plan. But You don’t. There is no mention of the kitchen, bathroom, second bedroom. The second bedroom is mentioned in the brief! Also based on the ‘creative’ way you filmed (cutting the kitchen counter out) there is no way people can sit at that dining table without moving the table. You did not allow for clearance. Does the computer program your selling have clearance built in? Or did you ignore it? I have enjoyed your other videos but this one felt “called in”.
I absolutely love a simple aesthetic but this feels very bland - and realistically it is the same as all the others. I honestly hate to be negative but I was really hoping for something more personal and eclectic. There is not even a hint of the owners personality in this space - looks like they plan to rent it out. I think, having watched your videos for a while, I feel these rooms are all becoming exactly the same. I only say this in the hopes of seeing something new and exciting soon.
But don’t you think, there was no owners charisma before transformation even though? The space will be adapted to themselves while living, don’t worry ;) And addressing the “same as all others” - it’s very common, that every artist has its own aesthetic, own style, like signature. Simply client goes to him, because of the style he represents… but don’t worry - every man’s work evolves, as the trends tend to!
@@parisakamali345 Maybe but it looks to be designed to be an expensive rental. It just sounds better for social media to pretend otherwise. Personally I'm bored with the same look each week so I've unsubscribed. Have a good day!
I also love Reynards videos but I agree with this comment. For me it wasn’t the lack of owners personality (they can put their own photos and stuff in) but it was how white everything was. In particular the white marble coffee table was too much. It felt like this space could have used a warm wood tone. But he did say something at the beginning about how the client didn’t want yellow or something? Still if that was the reason he should have said that at the end. Like yes this is too white but that’s what they asked for.
I agree, but I think these tenants were very particular about what they wanted and so he was limited by that. I personally enjoy muck more colour in a space. But it is all subjective.
You are like the king of boring designs. Its almost like you are afraid of colors. This would look 10x better if there was at least a little bit of color in there.
If you don’t like his style then don’t watch it! I bet you wouldn’t even be able to do anywhere near as well with interior design, and your rude attitude just goes to show what kind of person you are as well. 🙄

What an absolutely beautiful transformation! Thanks Reynard for the inspo!

Elegant, light, cosy and practical!
I’m soo glad you made this video cuz this is absolutely my style!
I love this design so much, what would you call this aesthetic/design? Could you please link the furniture + decor + rug?
Reynard, I have followed you for a while. Your style is really impressive. I can’t wait to see more of your work. Big fan 😊🎉

Links to furniture used please!

Wow amazing job! 👏 I love watching your videos and your content is so inspiring and helpful! Thank you so much! ❤😊
I get that people sometimes don't have the will or the time to furnish their home nicely, but these before pictures... they really had no clue!
Will or time? Have you considered that maybe like the vast majority of students they didn't have the funds to pick out nice, new stuff?

Hello sir, is there someone like you in Victoria? Im getting a two bedroom apartment and in need of someone as good as you to help design it 🙂
Looks nice…but that tv space is quite small 😢
❤
Stunnung!
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
How were you allowed to change the carpet if it was an rental apartment?
The owners purchased it for family - students to live in. Now they are moving in. That's what I understood from the video.
I think the parents are the owners of the apartment
🤔🤔
are u by any chance indonesian? i cant help but notice the accent
I'd get rid of the Hermes blanket and Tom Ford book. Otherwise, the place looks nice.
Thanks for pointing this out -- those two items are so overused that they should be banned by now.
Those are clients personal belongings, which I always try to incorporate whenever possible :)

The client literally asked for clean and minimalist hotel feel look. They didn't ask for a minimalist space.
Personalisation takes time to develop
