just chose Ateca for my family (2+1), with 2.0 petrol, 4x4, 190 KM, its damn fast being only 1,5 ton. For example Lexus NX has like 230 KM, but weights close to 2 tons, so its actually slower. And Ateca..yeah, it drives just really well, you dont feel like in heavy SUV. Other things - we just liked how it looks, and with all premium features - its just a really nice ride
If the Ateca only loses because of how desirable the Peugeot is then I'm happy I'll be getting an Ateca in 5 days. I wouldn't want a Peugeot, I think the Ateca looks so much better.
Windows that don't go all the way down is a safety feature. It was originally designed to drop enough to allow air in but not low enough for kids to crawl out of.
Agree with you, 3008 is the best of these 3 and for me, the best in it's class. Peugeot hit a home run with this one, that's why it's selling by the thousands despite being the most expensive. It's gorgeous inside and outside (previous 3008 was horrid...), quality is very high, very comfortable, good to drive, engines are good also, spacious for the whole family, lots of high tech gadgets like the digital cockpit, good equipment etc what more could you ask? 95% of the people who buy SUV's doesn't care about that, people are after something with a look of a bigger car (looks more premium), beautiful design, practical and modern. Peugeot studied the market and probably realized that. If you want 4WD buy a Land Rover, Toyota, Mitsubishi etc
Just looking at the first shot on the video, most people would buy the 3008 based on that. Look at it. The Ateca looks dull, looks like a box with headlamps. The Toyota looks nice but it's clearly smaller (meaning inferior vehicle to people) than the other 2. The 3008 looks like a modern, trendy, big and beautiful car. The one that gives that premium look with crome all around, status that people are after and aspire.

Great informative and personalised reviews. Carwow has become my go to channel for car reviews. Don’t screw it up now Matt. Also noticed the improved boot load comparisons.
If you want to talk about durability of French cars, first - drive them! I've been driving PSA group cars for more than a decade...not a single problem. Great engines, comfortable and beautiful. You won't find anything on the market like Citroen and Peugeot when comes to looks and style.
I own a C-HR and i think it should have been compared to smaller models. Good review though, even if "my" car didn't win. I'm very pleased with the C-HR by the way.
We have a CH-R and my kids love the darkness at back as it avoids glare on their I-Pads and if they snooze off at the back, the sunraise dont bother them. Its a win win for us all in all as we have the hybrid 1.8. drives superb and feels top class comfortable for longer drives. French/Spanish cars are not economical to maintain and do not last long and hence the sharp fall in their price as soon as you buy them
Good video, Mat. I checked out the C-HR when I accompanied a friend who was buying a RAV4. I came away knowing it was not the car for me. Too small all round. I had virtually decided on buying a Seat Ateca 1.4 but then saw your initial video review of the 3008. I was so impressed by the interior/cockpit I popped into the Peugeot dealership on the way to the Seat dealership. After a 20 minute test drive in an Allure 1.2 automatic I bought one. Had it two weeks and I just love it. Surprisingly. it goes along a local country lane at 60 mph as readily as my BMW 520d did. The 3008 is not quite as comfortable over bumpy surfaces/potholes as my BMW was, but it is pretty close. I have completed 750 miles on urban, country, main roads and motorways and averaging 44 mpg. The 1.2L, 3 cylinder engine is amazing. I was trained and paid to drive at high speed on all types of roads, but now prefer comfort to racing about: so the 3008 is perfect for me - my wife likes it too.
We went for the Ateca FR Sport which includes things like digital cockpit, leather seats. It drives like a car (a good thing) and has excellent sporty styling. Whilst the Peugeot is nice, we didn't like some of the design elements (rear lights), the badge isn't quite as good as a VAG car, and unlike Matt, we felt the Ateca was more substantial. In fact, we preferred the Ateca over the Tiguan which was too masculine looking and the middle seat in the rear was less usable than the Ateca for some odd reason.
comparing the ateca style pack (low end model) vs the 3008 gt line model (high-end model) does not make sense, the ateca xcellence and FR trim has loads of features that would give the 3008 a run for its money apart from the fact that the build quality is superior on the ateca, tried and tested both
Jonathan Saliba i take it you didnt watch the vid then? The build quality on the 3008 is deemed best in class, far better than the SEAT in fact, as for standard equipment, the base active model comes with more standard than an FR, buy a GT for 33k and the same spec xcellence comes in at 39k, so better value for money is????
+Tony B Better quality in your view is what you can see with your eyes interior wise? loool Better not speak and defend if you don't know anything on what you can't see with your eyes which is the real reflection of a great build quality! Peugeot is known for it's lots of troubles, errors and faults. With this totally new chassis let's see how it'll age in the coming years.

first Peugeot that I think is really a great car. Dig the interior design, the practicallity and even the looks! The french automakers up there game by quite a margin atm (Renault as well with the Megane, Scenic etc., Citroen/DS are still a bit quirky)
I've saw a few like year old or two year old 3008s one thing gets me wondering about their build quality the actual numbers on the gear stick are worn away thought that kinda strange I've a 4 year old focus and numbers on the gear stick are as clear to see as the day I bought it when it was only 9 months old
@@markjeffers4663 Sounds like a dubious anecdote. Plenty of them around older than that and not one I’ve been looking at has what you described. Nor does any other Peugeot of that age.
Tank you for reply you are 100% right.. that is why i think the new Dacia Duster is more practical overall, it has a better value specially in rough country areas because it manage to offer something better at decent & reasonable price. a more powerful unit and a better quality interior to match Peugeot could rise the overall price and Duster would not sell well then since is quoted as a lower affordable brand not medium ..
Well done Matt for finally given a review where the Seat Ateca isn't the best car in the whole world unlike some magazines and reporters (What Car? magazine this month had an article nearly every page about the Ateca). The 3008 is by far the best car in its class and exactly why we brought one! It's a shame the UK press arse lick the VW group so much! Great review Matt :)
Rob King couldn't agree more with you on this. For example the current facelifted Peugeot 508 was reviewed by WhatCar and they praised its comfort, economy, spec level, safety, decent handling and ride despite not class leading, and also the excellent engines and then gave it 2/5?? If it had a vw badge they'd give it a blowjob!
The Dons yea I notice many blatant biases in many UK reviews. Some (not all) UK reviews tend to have strange favoritism for German cars and hatred toward French cars. But Mat has tried his best to be objective enough. He does say he genuinely loves 3008 and that Tiguan's style is boring inside and out. Which is inevitable to refute, because the French style oozes beauty while the German (Tiguan & Ateca) styling has the visual excitement of a dying snail.
Bruh you English people (well not every one but a lot) doesn't like very much to say we can build great car (or simply good) lol, I know german cars are really really good, and for most of them better than french one , but they're also very expensive ! So I guess french cars are actually very good for price/quality/level of equipment ratio ? Don't you agree ?!
It's like for the DS7 review of Matt, he said all the video long that that was a great car but finally he didn't even say that you should shortlist it ?! WHAT THE HECK ??? We made such efforts to make a car that can probably compete with luxury SUV (Audi Q5/7, BMW, ...) and that's how he juges this car ?!! I was not agree with Matt, which happens very rarely.
The Peugeot 3008 is only just now gaining notoriety here in Australia. I have personally searched high and low for a new vehicle for my wife. I was at a loss ... the Mazda CX5 is the class leader here as I speak. I thought...ya gotta be shitting me. 50 k for ..' oh its not bad' but I wouldn't want one. Then I spotted the Peugeot 3008. Hail Mary.
Compare that Peugeot to an Ateca in Xcellence trim level with the 190bhp 2.0 diesel (I.e. A fair and unbiased test where the two cars come out at exactly the same price) and you'll see that the Seat blows the Peugeot out of the water.
Dan Thomas Really? so top spec v top spec, 33k on a gt 180bhp diesel auto with all the goodies and lighter than the SEAT.... pug wins again (to spec the SEAT to the same standard its 37k.....)
if you just started the video with the interiors I would swaer you were filming from different years. The Ateca interior looks 1970/80 the Toyota looks early 2000's and the Peugeot looks like its from the year 2050 ha! Also the peugeot looks better and is more comfortable.
cuz of a better interior? :D funny boy lol Everyone lately focus on the looks and options and forget everything about the engineering, materials and reliability.
amazoner0cks lel why are you mad,you do know that this Peugot has reliability, mateirals, space and yes people do still focus on these things...Get ur facts right.
amazoner0cks get your facts straight dude. Peugeot has been building likely the best Diesel engines in the past 10-15 years. And yes, looks and available options are an important factor when choosing a car.
I like the dash of Ateca and love those of VW‘s in general very much. They are not weird, not intrusive, but have instead appealing clear and calming aesthetics, what is exactly what I appreciate very much and want to have on a dashboard. VW’s dashboards are the best and most appealing to me.
verocimil I don’t understand why people seem to hate simplicity and clean lines! I want my dash functional and sleek, not busy and distracting and garish.
Peugeot has defintly improved the design of their models but in the end I still would've choose the Beautiful cheap German/Spanish Suv... SEAT Ateca: cause I'm trully impress by it design and specs👌👌👌
let's see how reliable the Peugeot will be...more consideration should be given to reliability...Toyota would win hands down for me..plus 5 yr warranty.
The boot space is bigger than looks in the videos. It’s 377 liters but it’s length and width are ok, the volume is smaller than competition due the height. If you remove the spare tire you get 500+ liters ;) (you can replace it with a very small repair kit bag). The seats are very well designed, probably the best seats I know.
never really been a 'car' person but I absolutely love the new 3008 just a bit too much out of my price range at the moment.Hoping to get one in another year or so when I can pick up a used one at a reasonable price.
So you took the top of the range 3008 and compared it to basically the 2nd cheapest Ateca model, good job! God forbid you compare it to the FR or Exellence...
The Peugeot would still win, and this isnt the top spec either, thats the GT, but it only comes as a 2ltr auto 180bhp diesel but for 33k is fully loaded with all the options on this GT Line plus a few extra.
I love the look of the CH-R. I think that it is what Honda should have done with a variant of the Civic... a lost opportunity if you ask me. Also i'd have expected the CH-R to reviewed against the Peugeot 2008 and Nissan juke or Renault capture
I bought a seat Ateca and one item was never mentioned on any reviews is the lack Power sockets in the rear or the boot! Other than that it's a really good car and I specified automatic tailgate and keyless entry.
I changed car recently, saying goodbye to a 2012 MINI Countryman CooperSD. Had shortlisted the Peugeot 3008, SEAT Ateca, Renault Kadjar and the Mazda CX-5. I now have a Peugeot.
DiseaseOfYourMind Toyota-Lexus group are ranked number 1 in reliability by most car magazines/consumer reports for the last 3 years in a row while Peugeot doesn't make it in the top 20. I'm not a Peugeot hater I think this 3008 is a really nice car but I'm not sure how well it'll function after few years.
RMSF1 And again you just quote CONSUMER reports, which are bullshit, because consumers are completely biased and customers of certain brands just don't answer surveys like customers of other brands. All lazy ass, cheap reports instead of solid data.
I tested both cars and the Seat seamed more solid on the road than the Peugeot. Also if you want an automatic transmission the one in Peugeot really sucks. Also you can't have AWD with the Peugeot. The Peugeot is the car to get if you want more storage room and if you want an economical small diesel engine. I went for the 1.4 ACT 4Drive Ateca with DSG.
You can max out on options with the Ateca, including 4WD and a hell of an engine and you'd probably just get to 30K. I do like the Peugeot. It has a far greater road presence, but it's just not enough car for the money...
asheesh tiwari that' because of the opitions on the car. Get rid of the big sunroof and the leather massage seats and it Will be under 30k. Then chose for a alure in stead of the GT, which you dont need for it to be an Amazing car, and you Will get around the same price point
lapamful the 3008 is a far higher spec than the SEAT so its more expensive, drop down to the allure and bin all the options and you are looking at a 24k car with more standard options from the factory ;)
@@chriswebley6938 My Ateca 2.0D FR DSG 4Drive develops just short of 190bhp and 0-60 in a tad over 7 secs which is pretty brisk. Even the 150 (148)BHP covers 0-60 in just over 8.5 secs so it's no slouch.
Alessandro Latorre by far. French guys have done great jobs. They are really innovating and daring to go beyond by designing such breakthrough interior. Unlike the German VW Group (SEAT) who don't dare playing outside their comfort zone and severely lacks creativity. I mean, take a look at France's Groupe PSA's brands, they all look distinct one another with each brand possessing unique identity and character. Meanwhile, Germany's VW's brand cars all look literally the same.. for example: Ateca, Tiguan, & Kodiaq, they all look literally the same boring, characterless, dull-looking car.
Leo Chan French cars are always unique and quirky, just like France and French people themselves. They indeed really dare to innovate beyond, as they show it in their cars. That interior is just wow and like nothing else in this world. The suspension is soft and steady. But sometimes their quirks can be off-putting at first. Thankfully this 3008 has all those French quirks in the right balance and perfect harmony. And the new 5008 also. The new Citroen cars also. They seem to finally find the right balance between form and function. Chapeau!
None of these vehicles are very heavy and, when empty, might feel fine with 115 PS. However they are designed for family use, which means weight. I reckon 150PS petrol engines have most bases covered unless you must have diesel. A three cylinder 1 litre petrol engine with a full complement of adults and luggage..... not so much!
Ateca anyday, get the excellence instead, it's a tad more expensive but it's worth the money, we have the excellence and it's so much nicer with the leather interior and the bigger display, i would definitely say the ateca is way better, personally !!
Corey Green you may as well buy the 3008 GT, cheaper and better equipped if you spec the ateca anywhere near it (you are pushing towards 40k on the SEAT to the equivelant specification 3008 @ 34k, think your math is a little out if you think the Ateca is better ;)
I got a great deal on the Ateca with the 1.4 petrol and the excellence package and even 19 inch wheels for 29.000 euro. I also traded in my Altea XL and I got 7500 for that meaning I got the Ateca for 21.500
On looks alone, the 3008 is absolutely stunning, inside and out. It is a masterclass in automotive design. However, I wanted a smallish SUV that had all the space and airiness but that to all intents and purposes drives like a family hatch. The Ateca fit my needs perfectly, especially with the 1.4 tsi in Xcellence trim. And it was still £7k cheaper than the Peugeot in this review, but with a much better engine.
You also get nothing on the SEAT compared to the Peugeot, once you add all the extra's that are standard on the 3008 you end up spending more on the Ateca, so unless you compare spec for spec, saying one is cheaper than the other is a mute point.
Well that's not strictly true is it? You don't "get nothing" on the Ateca in Xcellence trim, or no-one would buy it. The standard kit on the 3008 is admittedly good across the range, but for me it was still the engine, and the handling that won the day, moot point or not.
Jim Brimble ok you get leather as standard, everything else is pretty much an option. Top of the range GT is 33k, spec an xcellence up to the same and its 39k. The Allure has a better list of basic kit and that would undercut the SEAT by quite a margin. For me the 3008 won hands down, it handles very well, the ride is excellent (it absorbs the bumps better than the SEAT), its more comfortable and I can drive up and down the country and still feel fresh at the end of the journey, and those points (as well as the standard equipment my GT Line came with), were the winner for me.
Then along came the Skoda karoq and spoiled the party it may not have the prettiest interior or flashy body work but when it comes to the crunch it's the best to drive and the build quality is first rate which is why i bought one think you'll agree matt.
Most of that comes down to a difference in the trim levels, really. Go for the 3008 in, say, Allure trim and the Ateca in SE Tech trim, the Peugeot is only slightly more expensive - but then it feels it, too. Don't worry; we weren't just bowled over by some nice leather seats and a big sunroof!
It depresses me that I can't buy a Peugeot or a Seat in America. I love Seat and Peugeot designing especially the unique steering wheels famous in Peugeot vehicles.
John Stack where´s the freakin logic in your statement? I ate a burger, I will not eat another steak in my life. Dude, VW is the worst brand right now and unfortunately Seat is part of the family.
The logic is simple: it's a buyers market. We had such a bad experience with the Citroen, both in terms of the car's performance (always in the garage), coupled atrocious customer service that I simply would never buy one of them again. We have a Seat now and it's a great drive (even reviewed by Matt as being so), way more powerful and responsive and, to date, has never given any trouble. Even my wife, who knows nothing about cars and isn't particlarly interested in cars so long as they get her safely from A to B says she wouldn't drive another Citroen. I really like your analogy between the burger and the steak. I should point out that there is an HUGE difference between a burger and a steak. In this case, the Cirtroen is the burger!! Following on with your analogy, I would also say "once bitten, twice shy."
@kraenk12 that is complete bullshit. i live in a small city, so i know a lot of ppl, and what i noticed is that most french car owners buy french again
Perhaps :D But to me, the Toyota has just way too much going on! I prefer a clear design language, understatement rather than overstatement! And the 3008 looks amazing from the back, but I dislike the front.
+Its Me Well the 3008 def. wins at the interior level design/quality! Yet, I think it's a bit unfair to compare the Seat's trim (22.500) with the Peugeot's trim level (32.000)
Looking to purchase my first car and the C-HR is one car I'm considering, but now I want the Peugeot 3008. Sadly it's not being sold in Alberta Canada, what's up with that!?! I've been watching several of your car reviews and I'm amazed at the 5 to 7 year warranty you dudes/blokes get with some of the cars... WTCrap! We only get 3 years warranty for almost all cars for the exception of Kia and Hyundia, which is 5 year. Perhaps I ought to relocate haha :)
don't even think these cars are in the same class when looking at the size really. But I would rather the Toyota any day cause of reliability. Won't touch a Peugeot or whatever the name of that last car is.
Right now my dad got the 1st generation peugeot 3008 and hated it so much because of the cost of repairs. He was so set to finally buy a Jeep, but then he saw this year's version and is having other thoughts...
FFS, were they paid by Peugeot to make this video? The Peugeot is clearly a more expensive model than the SEAT and Toyota. Considering the price and if the Peugeot was a more comparable model, the SEAT would be the overall winner.
I think it is a major mistake to compare CHR in comparison with the Ateca and the 3008. It is not the same crossover category nor the size nor the concept.
Sherukka yeah I think you wonna have a second guess the peugeot has a reputation on being unreliable slow huge turning radius and a very very irritating ride

1990Thunderbolt it's spec is much more expensive in that review. It's not really a fair test.
oh well.
Well, that's great. Saved you 12.36 m.
Yeah but it costs double the Seat...
The 3008 is really nice but the Ateca is so much more fun to drive and I even like it's design. The Toyota though.....
Had mine 3 weeks, loving it more than my 64 plate Qashqui.
You could have added the CX5 as well.......Great review.
Good point, a friend of mine recently bought the smaller CX-3 and it's amazing!
Aby Mathew Carwow is for some reason somewhat anti-Mazda
Mazda is the most value for money. and looks better than these 3. Nissan xtrail too
It looks so much better...interior is on par with Merc, bmw, or audi......and great driving dynamics
Garrick Chong It's really a shame they don't review Mazda's. Not sure why they don't.
Us too.
Me to
comparing the ateca style pack (low end model) vs the 3008 gt line model (high-end model) does not make sense, the ateca xcellence and FR trim has loads of features that would give the 3008 a run for its money apart from the fact that the build quality is superior on the ateca, tried and tested both
Jonathan Saliba i take it you didnt watch the vid then? The build quality on the 3008 is deemed best in class, far better than the SEAT in fact, as for standard equipment, the base active model comes with more standard than an FR, buy a GT for 33k and the same spec xcellence comes in at 39k, so better value for money is????
+Tony B
Better quality in your view is what you can see with your eyes interior wise? loool
Better not speak and defend if you don't know anything on what you can't see with your eyes which is the real reflection of a great build quality!
Peugeot is known for it's lots of troubles, errors and faults. With this totally new chassis let's see how it'll age in the coming years.
me
seat has loads of features like what? thath old style dash and interior 😂😂😂
@@extasynord LED headlights, the Connectivity Hub (wireless phone charger and in-car signal booster using the car’s antenna), eight-colour LED ambient lighting, LED Ateca puddle lights, SEAT Drive Profile , keyless entry and start, sat-nav, DAB radio, leather upholstery, rear-view camera, 18-inch alloys, tinted windows, and chrome roof rails, window surrounds and tailpipes.
You also get the Convenience Pack, which adds auto lights and wipers, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, plus headlights which briefly switch on to illuminate your way when you lock and unlock the car . The Winter Pack, including heated front seats and headlight washers.
I am so glad i have a Peugeot 3008 after 4 days having this car I am just in love with it.
first Peugeot that I think is really a great car. Dig the interior design, the practicallity and even the looks! The french automakers up there game by quite a margin atm (Renault as well with the Megane, Scenic etc., Citroen/DS are still a bit quirky)
We own a 3008 and its fantastic for looks on the outside and especially the inside with all the gadgets you want
3008 Is the best in its class.
Especially the facelifted one- so gorgeous 😍
I've saw a few like year old or two year old 3008s one thing gets me wondering about their build quality the actual numbers on the gear stick are worn away thought that kinda strange I've a 4 year old focus and numbers on the gear stick are as clear to see as the day I bought it when it was only 9 months old
I've seen a. 69 but it was 1 year old
@@markjeffers4663 Sounds like a dubious anecdote. Plenty of them around older than that and not one I’ve been looking at has what you described. Nor does any other Peugeot of that age.
I ordered the 3008 before it arrived in the UK so couldnt test drive. Glad I did. Very very happy with it.
i guess you choose that for interior not for 4x4 otherwise even the New Dacia Duster would be better off-road.. ;)
Pop Laurentiu you will never look at this segment if your primary need is an off road vehicle
Pop Laurentiu Dusty's interior quality is similar to a cave... i'd choose 3008 allday anyday everyday thanks!
if money are no real problem are much nicer SUV's in this segment : Toyota CH-R, Kia Niro, Volvo CX40 ( +hybrids)
Peugeot deserved the win, deffinatly the best looking crossover to date, amazing looking. I have a 308 2014 and love it. Maybe changing to 3008 soon!
Conor Cränks what an idiot you judge a car just with look wtf
@@carholic-sz3qv what is wrong with 3008, i like 3008 also! Id buy Peugeot over "crappy" german cars.
toyota c-hr looks very much like a concept car...its superb
I agree
Well done Matt for finally given a review where the Seat Ateca isn't the best car in the whole world unlike some magazines and reporters (What Car? magazine this month had an article nearly every page about the Ateca). The 3008 is by far the best car in its class and exactly why we brought one! It's a shame the UK press arse lick the VW group so much!
Great review Matt :)
Rob King Opinions. I test drove them all and both are in the top 3 in that class. Would take the Tiguan over both of them easily!
I love how the Peugeot smiles at you.
Jaffar Abdul Baqi It also grins at you, telling you 'Let's go do something!'
We don't only like cheap cars
Love it inside and out but my mechanic always told me to stay away from French makes so kinda puts me off pugeout
Hail Mary.
Out of curiosity are you still happy with the 3008?
Have there been any repairs besides regular maintenance ?
I bought the new PEUGEOT 301 Allure ,it looks so luxurious inside. It is great.
“It doesn’t go all the way down... hate it when that happens” I see what you did there Matt 😂
Leave your dirty mind at home
Crikey Mat, that's a brave jumper, trouser, shoe combo!
This peugeot is the wayyyy better than other 2
cuz of a better interior? :D funny boy lol
Everyone lately focus on the looks and options and forget everything about the engineering, materials and reliability.
Peugeot is a junk
amazoner0cks lel why are you mad,you do know that this Peugot has reliability, mateirals, space and yes people do still focus on these things...Get ur facts right.
berthold tsafack Peugot WAS junk back in 2000,2006.
amazoner0cks get your facts straight dude. Peugeot has been building likely the best Diesel engines in the past 10-15 years. And yes, looks and available options are an important factor when choosing a car.
Great review love the bits of humour Mat Is A Great Presenter
Atecas dash belongs in the 90's!
same like vw
I like the dash of Ateca and love those of VW‘s in general very much. They are not weird, not intrusive, but have instead appealing clear and calming aesthetics, what is exactly what I appreciate very much and want to have on a dashboard. VW’s dashboards are the best and most appealing to me.
verocimil I don’t understand why people seem to hate simplicity and clean lines! I want my dash functional and sleek, not busy and distracting and garish.
yeah. perfect description.
And what car you drive? It’s practical. K***
Highly recommend it, we’ve had our 17 plate since new and it’s never given us a single problem
As soon as I saw this, and Matt, I HAD to watch! It's going to be interesting!
My thoughts exactly. Have had a 3008 ....and now have an FR DSG 4Drive ...has to be the FR for me!
Great review even after 4 years still usefull for ateca review. Good point for 1.4 wngine
I love the look of the CH-R. I think that it is what Honda should have done with a variant of the Civic... a lost opportunity if you ask me. Also i'd have expected the CH-R to reviewed against the Peugeot 2008 and Nissan juke or Renault capture
C-HR is much bigger and more expensive than Juke/2008/Captur.
Toyota without a doubt copied Honda's new design language, at least at the rear with the lobster claws
I love the clock. Easy as hell to use and you know where it is. It is like RR :s the spirit of extacy!
You could compare the C HR with the HR V and the Nissan Juke :)
Derek Finnegan good choice.. I love my Peugeot 3008 Gt Line
+Stefan Volf
Oh I wanna point out that I'm rich and have a 3008 GT Line :D :D
And taking from my time to defend it on youtube lool
My condolences
Amazing video but I NEED an US market version of this video. Stay awesome Matt
Comparing 18k ateca with 30k Peugeot? Daft
Fr ateca rocks
@@larsverwaters3423 Definitely not against 3008 GT
Very good revew ! Thank you !
I would take the Seat as french cars tend to be less reliable when it comes to electronics and gimmicks and it costs a lot to repair.
...than German cars, seriously?
Congrats for 300k subscribers!
CHR is like being in a cave, the 3008 like a high end hotel.
Stephen Butler a cave that'll last a lifetime is better than a hotel that'll breakdown in a year
RMSF1 did you tried it and have expereince for years with these 2 cars?
DiseaseOfYourMind Toyota-Lexus group are ranked number 1 in reliability by most car magazines/consumer reports for the last 3 years in a row while Peugeot doesn't make it in the top 20. I'm not a Peugeot hater I think this 3008 is a really nice car but I'm not sure how well it'll function after few years.
RMSF1 And again you just quote CONSUMER reports, which are bullshit, because consumers are completely biased and customers of certain brands just don't answer surveys like customers of other brands.
All lazy ass, cheap reports instead of solid data.
Sirion consumer reports, telegraph , autocar, business insider and more puts toyota higher than Peugeot I can send links if you don't believe me
I tested both cars and the Seat seamed more solid on the road than the Peugeot.
The 2.0L diesel engine is Peugeot's best engine (by a long way)
Ateca -22k. 3008-32k. I will buy seat and save 10k that is huge
Buy a wheelbarrow and you would save whole amount!!
lapamful the 3008 is a far higher spec than the SEAT so its more expensive, drop down to the allure and bin all the options and you are looking at a 24k car with more standard options from the factory ;)
Tony B Matt said @1:20 that the 3008 was 32K with 5K of options. That makes it 27K according to my calculations.
5:17 Sick Rhymes Dude!
I'm looking at a 2.0L Ateca Xcellence DSG 4Drive Diesel, fast and economical
Brian Anthony in no way is that even close to being fast it’s 148 bhp
@@chriswebley6938 My Ateca 2.0D FR DSG 4Drive develops just short of 190bhp and 0-60 in a tad over 7 secs which is pretty brisk. Even the 150 (148)BHP covers 0-60 in just over 8.5 secs so it's no slouch.
I wish the US had some peugeot dealers out here selling this marvel of a car, especially Miami.
I love the Peugeot 3008. Looks awesome.
Mourik131 Agreed. Firstly I didn't rate Peugeot as much but lately have had a change of heart upon seeing 3008. Hats off to the French design!
@8:45, is the uneven trim alignment between the A-pillar and the car's body due to poor manufacturing QC or by design?
Peugeot 3008 > Seat Ateca > Toyota C-HR
Alessandro Latorre anyday.
Chapeau!
Alessandro Latorre seat ateca
You nailed it, Leo!
Peugeout 3008 is way better
Ateca will still look dull no matter how much leather and gold strips you add
I got a great deal on the Ateca with the 1.4 petrol and the excellence package and even 19 inch wheels for 29.000 euro. I also traded in my Altea XL and I got 7500 for that meaning I got the Ateca for 21.500
Roy van der Lee In Nederland? Dat heb je goed gedaan dan. Tips?
Ateca --> price quality
C-HR--> Design
3008 --> The best of the three but it's over pricy
So the car you like the most is £10k more expensive. Come on maaaaate.
Fair point! I have just ordered an Ateca. So couldn't resist to highlight the obvious. I agree the Peugeot does look great.
carwow Exactly...you seemed kinda biased by the better spec. An Ateca FR with the 1.4 and I wonder if your decision would have been the same.
kraenk12 - yep, still the same decision. Sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That 1.4 engine is good though.
@kraenk12
Lower spec'd 3008 feels pretty much the same, it has the same interior, drives the same etc.
It depresses me that I can't buy a Peugeot or a Seat in America. I love Seat and Peugeot designing especially the unique steering wheels famous in Peugeot vehicles.
White, silver or red one..red one wins everytime
Am plaining to buy Peugeot 3008 advice it’s really good to buy
Having owned a Citroen.....never again.....the Seat wins this one for me.
There was a Citroen in this review? I'm gonna have to watch it again.....
VW is the number one company in the automotive industry now, where is your logic ? you are so ignorant. Seat is 10 times better than Peugeot.
Bush Master Flash Peugeot and Citroën are one company.
Good & Useful Comparison video, thkz
the price gap is huge the ateca is 18.000 pounds the 3008 is 36.000 pounds this isn't a good comparison
You're comparing base price with top end model. Ateca can go well over £30k as well. And the 3008 in this test was worth £32k, not £36k
Chr for the exterior looks and 3008 for the interior
I will take the 3008 please
Minecraftcar88 same
It's a good looking and comfortable car, but quality wise it won't hold up, sadly a common problem with French cars. I'd take the Ateca.
StereotypedFilms it's not, fuck you
Love ours
@kraenk12 that is complete bullshit.
i live in a small city, so i know a lot of ppl, and what i noticed is that most french car owners buy french again
You could've chosen the fr version of seat with more options and then you would've been able to compare it to the Frenchy thing.
I'd take the Seat Ateca any day! I love Seat's exterior!!!
Andreas yeah they speced it up way to far
you must be a bieber fan with no taste.
Seat is just a wannabe VW with horrible interior.
Well I guess everyone knew the Peugeot would win
You review are the best 😊
don't even think these cars are in the same class when looking at the size really.
Ateca rules!
The only benefit from a movable boot floor is that it makes the boot space smaller. It needs good marketing to sell this.
I would buy the seat ateca
Hooray! Ive just got one!
how about Mazda CX-5! it would have fit in perfectly instead of Toyota baby SUV!?
FFS, were they paid by Peugeot to make this video? The Peugeot is clearly a more expensive model than the SEAT and Toyota. Considering the price and if the Peugeot was a more comparable model, the SEAT would be the overall winner.
Peugeot is simply the best.
I think it is a major mistake to compare CHR in comparison with the Ateca and the 3008. It is not the same crossover category nor the size nor the concept.
Love my C-HR! Bought it cause it looks cool as!
Linda Chan-Malcolm oh dear
Agreed! C-HR is much cooler! I don't want to drive a vehicle that doesn't look good to me in the outside no matter how great it is.
When are you reviewing the new qashqai?
hows the durability of Peugeot compare to Toyota?
Time will tell but if we look at history Peugeot will be very durable.
Sherukka nice to hear that
Sherukka yeah I think you wonna have a second guess the peugeot has a reputation on being unreliable slow huge turning radius and a very very irritating ride
Kurt Tracy Aguas where? When?
livc444111 ??? don't really get what your saying
CH-R is by far the best in its class just by its futuristic design ! Peugeot upped their but i don't confidence in Peugeot for reliability issues.
Hey team what if Matt recreates the accent of the country of origin of each car while he drives it?
That Pug is on a league of its own....
Better looks, way more pleasing interior, spacious, and looks to be higher build quality. I'd go for the 1.5L HDI EAT8 engine though.
