@@bcbloc02 You got that right. I ran a big lodge and shipley. The last 15 years that I worked I ran a mazak cnc lathe. It could work circles around any manual lathe I ever ran. You do some nice work. I enjoy your videos.
My content has always had a lot of variety and I try to keep it interesting stuff. You just never know what i will be working on next. I also don't produce "content" by turning 20 minute jobs into hour long multi art videos. Glad you enjoy! :-)
@@FrancisoDoncona No it’s not done. I have spent the last 2 years just trying to keep everything moving. I really struggle to find time to work on my own stuff. I only film probably a tenth of what I work on. Fixing roofs, storm damage and property clean up along with farming really eats the time.
Always nice to see the boys g lathe running. Standing by that spinning chuck must have some pucker factor
Boy howdy! If that chuck came off at speed, it wouldn't even slow down going through the shop wall and maybe a neighbor's house a mile down the road.
A thousand pound chuck has A LOT of stored energy!
Don't need no chrome. Just a Monarch and a good man to run it. Happy happy, Buddy! Blessings
Thanks!
@@bcbloc02More Blessings!

I did this kind of work for 46 years. I thought it was time to retire while I still had all my fingers.😀
I think the wrong move on the big Monarch probably be worse than fingers.

Did you ever finish insulating the ceiling in your barn shop? Did I miss it?

I think I’d be working on getting some heat going in the floor, you know, in your spare time. It is the season! Lol
Is that scrap high specification mill shafting that went through a fire? It seems to have some serious hard spots.
Brian, what material did you chose to use?
Cold rolled 1144 aka stressproof
@@bcbloc02 that sure machines nice. Thanks Brian
40 degrees centigrade?I know turn the heat on ya Scrooge.
@@daleolson3506 40deg F 4500watts just keeps it above freezing in that tall shop.
I thought that was radiant flooring but did you finish insulating the ceiling?
I’m sure 40 f feels a lot better than outside where your at in Kentucky Eh Brian
@ Still no ceiling and no proper heater. I just have an old water heater running the thing so it keeps everything above freezing but that is about it.
Marry Christmas!!!
