I'm thrilled that you are showing everyone just how great they are. I have two of these lenses, I absolutely love the look and I want to get my hands on the 18mm, it's a great focal length.
Ohhh man they are so beautiful right! My friend at Nameless vision sold them to me and I wasn't going to buy them but I tried them on FX30 & Eos-m and instantly fell in love. I did actually use these on the FX30 for a pro shoot and the artist was blown away. These suit the older cameras better for some reason like bmpcc OG and Eos-M. The 18mm is my least used but it's good for heavy crops so I hope you get one soon.
Fantastic summary and review. Really glad you are loving these lenses and creating such amazing imagery. Perfect in the right hands indeed. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is c-mount lenses. Truly amazing lenses going unnoticed ❤
Ahhh thanks Bryan. I think it's because it's not just a review but it's something I really enjoy owning and using. Crop mood has also made me fall in love with ml all over again.
I had a TH lens 0.7 inch 2.5 but I don’t know how to use on my m43 GX9 though I had a C-m43 mount. I always doubt I had this Taylor Hobson lens which was lack of a glass. I do love this TH lens !
@@AltCine thanks for replying . This particular lens 0.7inch need a crop mode on other m43 cameras. When on mine It has a significant black part of picture. I don’t know how BLCC works so perfectly.
Yes very sharp and clean. The sharpness here is increased by exporting to CDNG and using raw tab sharpening. Raw tab sharpening is very organic and really brings these vintage lenses up to modern standards....but without sharpening they still look super clean.
Great stuff! I love these old C mount lenses. If you find an old Angenieux 12-120mm zoom lens in C mount I bet you will love it. Such a versitile lens and renders beautiful images.
Hey Paul, thank you. Ok I'll definitely check that out as the focal range looks insane....very useful. I just sold off some of my modern canon lenses to buy some more vintage so thanks for the recommendation.
Thank you AJ. I really love the flow of it too. It was one of those random ones I had no intention of making but it actually turned out better than my intentional vids 😅
I can over the weekend but I highly suggest you go through the install process and my crop mood video. I think it's vital to understand how it all works because if you run into trouble you'll know how to sort it out quickly. If you still want my settings build then yes I will.
@@AltCine I appreciate it, I love your videos by the way I know you said you were going to stop making UA-cam videos , I'm glad you came back they have been so helpful to me and my eosm journey, god bless you my friend
I would start with the LOMO OKS 1-40-1 and 1-50-1. Same optical scheme as the Cooke Opic lenses…. Just incredible ua-cam.com/video/b3G0aGJVYTg/v-deo.html
PLEASE READ INFO BEFORE YOU CURSE ME ABOUT COOKE vs Taylor Hobson

Way kool nice to see these old lenses getting their day in the sun nice find Colin 😊
Thanks Tony 🙌🏾. These old lenses are the best. I'm going to mod them slightly with large diameter rings so I can put them in permanent use.

Thank you bro and thanks for the hook up. I really appreciate it 🙌🏾

@@AltCine Now for 2x anamorphic dyi videos on those lenses!🤭

Hi, what problems did you have with using it on m43? These were used on Blackmagic OG before they came to me.

sorry if mentioned somewhere, but what camera are you using in this video w/the TH lenses? thanks!
Yes it's the camera in the video, Canon Eos-m but the modded M-Lite version.
Love it! 🖖
Thank you 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Looking good as old bottle of wine
Yep, they aged well
Cooke Kinetals are the cheapest Cooke look you can get. They are real Cooke lenses just for small sensors
Yes that's right 👍🏾
❤❤❤
🙌🏾🙌🏾❤️
Tell me why I don’t like Mondays
It's the day most have to start work after a restful weekend and then you find something you want to buy because some random UA-camr made a video lol
What reasons do you need

Thank you, I'm on it!
Lovely image. Bokeh is a bit swirly though so I think they would be better for artistic stuff.
Just watched it again and the footage is beautiful 🙌🏾🙌🏾
