    Steve, thank you, so very much for the beautiful job you did on my bag. I received my bag prior to the airing of this video so, you can only imagine my surprise to see new handles on her. I've had this bag for more than 35 years; of which the last 20 were spent in a closet due to her condition. You did a magnificent job. May God bless you, your family and Zeus. Thank you again. VM

    Going back to unstitch the second zipper stiches (once or twice?) probably added to your 'time'. Never the less. It looks marvelous as usual. You should probably just accept that the true craftsman/artist inside of you cannot let anything go out of the shop half done. Or not looking really good. I have seen enough of your videos to know that you often change your methods as you deconstruct and think about the project. That happens after the quote and you never add on to the quote. I admire you immensely for your heart and ability to make a project right. Regardless of extra cost.

    You do more than you promise because you care about the craft, the product and the customer. It's more rewarding for you to go OCD and perfect the job, than it is to meat the demand and or means of the customer. They stepped up to the plate and are willing to pay for as much work they can afford, you are just taking it to the next level, paying with labor and care. No harm in this, if you can afford to do it. The best customer for you, is one who says, "Steve, I trust you. Do what you need to do, and write me up whatever it costs." They are the best because they love your work and respect you.

    I’m not sure that Louis Vuitton would have repaired that one. It looks like it well used, and a bit too rough at that. You’re work is excellent . witatter1 They would not have repaired it. Cracks in the canvas precludes repairjobs. It's unrepairable. The ones here were minor. Any more and he shouldn't have done the repair. Still, I wonder why spend that much money on canvas that's begun cracking.

    Hi Steve. Great job, what you have is total pride in your work. I'm in a totally different industry but like you people pass through work that simply doesn't even get through the most simple of quality inspections. I have tried many years to try and instill a sense of pride to all staff that I have worked with. I sadly have come to the conclusion all can have but to differing degrees, but easy for some to drift back into an anything will do attitude, while others will want to deliver the highest quality of work no matter the situation.

    • @Styledandorganized
      @Styledandorganized 4 роки тому +18

      jennifer * yeah, that’s totally a possibility. I’m sure there is a reason why, of course. I’m just saying, sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a new one than repair. I once bought a pre loved speedy 35, because it was super cheap, and said to myself that I’d send it to the LV store to get it freshen up/repair the top handles. When I took it to the store they suggested I change every patina piece because if I just changed the handles, all the veins and tags would look completely different. So I did the whole thing and the bag ended up looking like new but I spent $850 on the repair + $250 that the bag costed originally so I paid $1100 total which is almost like buying a brand new one haha and later on I found another pre loved one that was described as 9.9/10 for $500 and I bought it for my mom (we both had a speedy 25 since the early 00’s but we were fixated in getting a speedy 30 each as well) so I got it for her birthday and it literally looked brand new. Like she really thought I had just bought it at the store. So I ended up paying twice as much for mine, unnecessarily, and it was a loss because if I ever decide to resell it, I wont get anywhere near $1100 for it. So yeah, that’s my personal experience.

Like the attention to detail and the hum of a near stall speed sewing machine as you make corners or position the work. Very relaxing. Also a side note, but I really appreciated you not knocking the truck for the noise it made going by. It may not seem like much, but it speaks volumes to someone like me. You approaching that as another person also awake making their living, while working on a designer bag, where many would see those so far separated, it was just nice to see you not knock it. Anyway appreciate the time you spend making things right. Proper repair is underappreciated!

    That’s a heck of a fine job you did! That bag she brought you was totaled. I’d have taken one look at it and called it garbage. If you hadn’t done the handles for her, what would’ve been the point? It would’ve still looked grimy and hard-used, despite the other repairs being so expertly done. You made it back into a bag she can be proud of. I hope she appreciated the quality and generosity of your work!

    Thank you sir...I am an average man and made an average wage as a nurse my whole life. I’ve never been In a Loui Vattan,( spelling), store? Do they sell them On Amazon? LOL 😆 ...I see people go crazy over 18k gold watches, 4 pound 14k gold Cuban link necklace, diamond studded tennis shoes 👠. I will never understand spending this kind of money when people sleep on the streets, etc. won’t preach here...I love watching ya...and I see u have a healing ink on ur left forearm...I’m covered...but when I was a nurse, u would never see them...u take care man...beautiful work!

    Always wanting to do more means you’re one of those rare craftsmen that are actually proud of their work. It’s really sad this is not more the norm, even if you can’t do the extra work, at least have that feeling in you. I think most people simply don’t notice it, until they see a good job.

    A montage of reaction videos would be amazing! I enjoy seeing them on same video but hell would be awesome to see so many happy surprises in one batch. Just a suggestion. Great Job. Let's continue.

    It looks as good as brand new!!! I’m sure your client will be beyond thrilled and thankful!!! On a side note - people pay so much money for these brands and like this bag here is made out of canvas and isn’t even lined. I know there are FAR better quality bags out there actually made with care and not just mass produced and able to charge a premium because of the brand. TYFS!!!

      You are right. I had this bag for more than 35 years. The last 20 she was in a closet due to the condition. I'm so pleased with the repair.

    Stunned again how he makes ugly into beautiful again. I understand clients desire to spend so much to save something that means a lot to them. Oddly this site gives me hope and makes me feel good.

    Awesome work, Steve! Great video, the bag looks amazing. The bag looks like a Speedy 35 (cm) and you can't tell that it was shortened. Really awesome work. Thanks for the tips that you gave along the way.
